This product did not lighten anything on my skin. It's claim to "corrects wrinkles, evens skin tone and brightens the complexion" did not do anything for me. I don't have deep wrinkles and I have some new areas on my (asian) skin that are darkening. Considering the price and effectiveness of what it claims to do, I would not repurchase this or anything from this line.
The packaging is good, though.

I remember that another reviewer somewhere lamented that they WANTED to love L'occitane products, but were never quite impressed. Same here, it is beautifully presented skin care with a very sound philosophy of skin health and organics, and the stores are so beautiful to go into. But I haven't yet found a product to love. I've tried their hand cream, their makeup remover and now this brightening serum. Nothing.
The only good thing I can say about this serum is that it did no harm to my skin. It is gentle, that's for sure. But no brightening whatsoever. I will finish the (beautiful) bottle and move on. I think I will try estee lauder next.

I found this to be a waste of money. It did not brighten at all and I went through 1.5 bottles of this after which I just gave up and threw the rest away. The consistency is gel-like but I found it sticky once on my skin. I like the smell of this product but that's about it. Not repurchasing. It is $70 Cdn before taxes.
