This is the perfect shade of brown liner. It comes out dark but is not as harsh as black. Perfect for a day-liner and offers great amount of shimmer. It goes on smooth and lasts as it is waterproof.

This is what MAC teddy tried to be. Doesn't budge although smudgeable when applied. Beautiful colour. Not for waterline I'd venture, seeing as the shimmer particles combined with waterproof property, would irritate the hell out of my eyes. Love it.

This is a really pretty, bronzey automatic pencil that's great for blue eyes. I've switched to Almay's liquid liner in brown topaz because its exactly the same shade, but liquid, so it goes on with more intensity. I also think that liquid seems to last longer for me.

This is BY FAR the best eyeliner! I use this on my UPPER lid. So its a substitute for liquid eyeliner. I've yet to try it as a waterline eyeliner, but i dont care because its such a good upper lid eyeliner! Its sooooo creamy and easy to apply! The only downside is it doesnt come with an eyeliner sharpener on the bottom but thats not so bad. I also have this in purple tang, but lionfish is suchh a better color. I dont know how this eyeliner can get any better, its such a good eyeliner. If your hesitating to but it or not, definitely go for it.

I was looking for a brown eyeliner and decided to try this from all the positive MUA reviews. It goes on nice and soft, and it can stay for 12hours+. Only place it doesn't stay so well is right in my inner corners of my top lid, because i have eyelids that fold over just there. That tends to happen for me for all pencil eyeliners. I'd also say that the packaging is very flimsy and I was highly unimpressed, I couldn't even wind it up without wiggling around, fix that Stila! However, the product is as good as it gets and if you're looking for a bronze browny eyeliner, get lionfish!

HG Product for sure. I bought this off the recommendation of xSparkage and she was right. First off, let me say that I get so mad at makeup companies for never making a dark dark brown eyeliner. I want the intensity of a dark brown/black liner without the harshness of black. This eyeliner has actually become that product for me. I wouldn't have though that I would have liked this reddish-brown color but on my waterline it actually looks really dark and really pretty against my blue eyes. It goes on really dark brown somehow. It doesn't smudge and it stays put most of th day. I have so much makeup that I hardly ever finish any one product but I finished this fast and am on to round two. Good work Stila!

Okay, I love this eyeliner, and I wasn't totally expecting to. I have Eyeliner Problems in general (very oily eyelids, slightly asymmetrical lids, and almond shaped-eyes mean eye makeup is very unforgiving on me, sigh.) But this eyeliner stays on BEAUTIFULLY. I put it on, and it stays on, and doesn't budge. I don't even need a primer. Even when I try to artfully smudge it a little it doesn't seem to want to move, ha. It's also super pigmented and goes on smoothly- no tugging, huzzah! It's such a lovely color too, dark chocolate brown with a little shimmer, just enough to give it some dimension and make my eyes brighter. It's got some hints of plum and bronze in it too, seems to me. I just draw a very thin line on my upper and lower lashline's outer corners, and sometimes I can even put a little on the inner corner, which I never used to do.
I have dark eyes that are a blend of brown and olive-y green, and this brings out the green so much! Although I think it would really flatter a lot of eye colors. Also, I like that it's dark enough to be noticeable and make my lashes look thicker but it's not harsh on my pale skin.

It's expensive, you get such a tiny amount, and the packaging feels a little flimsy to me, but I'll probably still rebuy and here's why:
The color is fantastic and looks great with my gray-blue eyes, pale skin, and auburn (thanks to henna) hair. Subtle shimmer to it and a hint of aubergine to it rather than the red-orange some browns have.
It applies really smoothly, in that creamy way that leaves a lot of pigment on. I hate eyeliners that are so hard they leave a weak line that can't seem to get close to the lash line.
Stays on well throughout the day, doesn't run or smear, only fades slightly in the outer corners of my eyes where I tend to rub.
I get compliments from strangers when I wear it. It makes me think their thought process is something like this: "HOLYSH*T that eyeliner looks so incredibly amazing on her I just HAVE to say something about it even though it might be a little creepy, whatever, I don't care, must...compliment...." and so I'd be silly not to pay attention and turn this in to a staple in my makeup bag.
I haven't finished my first one though, so if it turns out to only last for a ridiculously short amount of time I might need to consider if the price is really worth it.

I love this eyeliner - the color is a dark brown with shimmer. It goes on smoothly, and once it sets, it really lasts - all day. The only thing I don't like about the product is the packaging. It's non-retractable, and it doesn't advance well. I hate the fact that I can't tell how much is left.

this is my HG liner and i have actually finished a whole liner of this! thankfully it came with a palette so i didn't spend 20$ for one.... what i did find through looking for a cheaper version of this before spending for another liner is that Revlon's sueded brown is a very good dupe of this! the only difference is the lasting power and the color it becomes when the liner gets lighter through the day... revlon's becomes a very light reddish copper brown but stila's stays the same throughout until makeup removal... overall i will purchase with palettes to offset price but at this time, i would just use revlon's in the mean time. UPDATE: i now currently use Tarina Tarantino hyperliner in locket book which lasts and lasts and applies butter smooth!
