This is a really good shampoo, it's up there with being more expensive though. I have fund through trailing so many shampoos this one, the Redken all soft and the herbal essences frizz control shampoo are the best. This smellS amazing, cleans my hair well, doesn't strip it of moisture, makes me hair feel so so healthy, great product.

I have wavy, color treated hair that usually gets quite frizzy and dry. This is the first product I've tried by this brand and I didn't really think much about it when picking it up because I just needed a new shampoo that would smooth down my hair. This is by far the best shampoo I have ever tried. It smoothes without making it oily and flat, and softenes my hair. I really like the smell and will definitely keep using it. I alternate between this one and the pink one by Kerastase for color treated hair, and that really works out for me.

Since moving to a dryer climate six months ago, my hair has been very dry, almost brittle and I noticed I was getting split ends like crazy. The texture of my hair has even changed. I'm used to having long, thick, sort of indestructible hair, then suddenly it was freaking out! I tried all sorts of treatments and nothing seemed to help. I found reviews for Pureology and decided to give it a try. What a difference a shampoo and conditioner can make! After just a few uses, I noticed my old hair was coming back. Shiny, strong and manageable. I literally tried almost every high end shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner and treatment before finding Pureology. It is somewhat expensive but I found a great deal for and there are always some discounts online when you buy the larger size. I saw the reviews about the packaging and having difficulty getting the product out, I just bought the pump that came with it and have not had a problem. Also, some people said it didn't leave their hair feeling clean. I'm a "clean" freak and my hair doesn't seem to have any build up and feels and smells super clean. I do use a clarifying shampoo every other week as I tend to use a lot of argan oil, etc. I switch between the Smooth shampoo and conditioner and the Hydrating. The Smooth has a wonderful smell while the Hydrating has a good smell to the shampoo but I'm not crazy about the mint scent of the conditioner. Next on my list are their styling products.

This product is just OK. I will stick to the Hydrate formulation because it works better and the scent is 10x better. This stuff smells soooo bad-very chemical-like.

This shampoo is good, the conditioner not so much. It did make my hair feel moisturized but I like hydrate and nanoworks more. Also I don't know about the scent. I can't decide if I like it or not and it is STRONG. I got the travel sizes and would not purchase the full bottle because I like hydrate and nanoworks way better.

Miracle shampoo for thick, wavy hair. This particular formula of Pureology shampoo works best- some have too much protein for thicker hair. My only complaint with this line of shampoos and conditioners is that for a while they kept renaming them and changing the color packaging. I now purchase in the gajumbo size both this shampoo and it's matching conditioner.

I go to a salon that carries Redken and Pureology products. I decided to highlight my hair for the first time a couple of months ago and figured that I should invest in a good shampoo and conditioner. Everyone at the salon was raving about Pureology, so I chose the Super Smooth line since my hair is thick and frizzy. However, for the past two months that I have been using the shampoo and conditioner, I have found my hair to be even more difficult to tame. Yes, I understand that the extra tangles and drier texture are the results of getting my hair colored, but this is ridiculous. I have tried other shampoos/conditioners and my hair does not come out as poorly as it does with the Pureology. And for the price? No way am I ever purchasing again. Finishing up the bottles and moving on to the next.

I'm a die-hard Pureology lover. I used to work for a company that distributed it in Canada, and with my discount I got hooked on the line. Now the retail price tag hurts a bit, but I still find the performance worth the price. I liked this shampoo, but I returned it in exchange for the Nanoworks line. I used this for a month in conjunction with the super smooth cond. It smells amazing and lathers beautifully. I love that it's sulfate free and all the other goodness that goes along with this product line. However it didn't moisturize enough for me, and did nothing for my frizzy top layer of hair. I also agree with a few other reviewers comments that it doesn't feel like it's cleaning 100%. I'd still recommend someone to try it, but it sadly didn't work for me.

I bought this in the smallest bottle to try it.It lathers well, but within time it leaves hair coated with something waxy. It leaves hair sleeker, but not smoother. My hair tangles like crazy when dry. I use it with the match conditiones. Expensive!!!

Ok so my hair is complicated to explain, I don't even get it myself sometimes...I have scandinavian long hair that's a bit wavy. There's ALOT of hair so it's thick but with a fine quality. It's volumnious but not at the roots. I've colored my hair brown for about 10 years but it's very little damage to it (just slightly less shine). But really I don't give a damn about this, all I want is to get rid of the f r i z z! Through the years I've tried everything I could get my hand of to ease the frizz but I still haven't found anything. Not silicon, silk, flat-ironing, sprays NOTHING really works. The problem is my hair is straight, with just some natural waves, and it's not coarse, so it looks weird with all those frizzy little hairs on the top of my head. It shows when my hair is newly washed and when it's humid out. I've tried other Pureology shampoos and the were kind of magical but not specialized for my hair so I thaught this Smooth schampoo would be amazing, life-changing. Unfortunately, this product is bad for my hair. It makes it really heavy and I have to wash my hair much more often than with other schampoos. I suppose it could work well for people with curly and coarse hair.
The smell's good. Very expensive. Not for hair like mine, with surface frizz.

This is the Cadillac of shampoos. I leaves my color treated, thick, hair feeling so soft and healthy. The smell is fantastic and it stays around long after you're out of the shower. It leaves my hair so clean and silky smooth. The price tag is steep, but I do believe it's worth the extra money.

Ive been looking for a good shampoo, i have color treated, gray(since 14), oily and dry with some scalp problems thrown in there, i cant use anything else, my hair does get oily after 2-3 which i chose to shampoo after -4-5 so i dont ruin my hair, i got a sample to try and used in conjunction with conditioner, it makes my hair soft and supple, however, this only lasts for 2-3 days, but its better than other stuff ive used.i bought a huge bottle, so im hoping this will last me a while
i suggest to someone with my hairtype to go and get the small bottle first and see if that jives with your hair.

This is my favorite of the Pureology line. I have slightly wavy hair that is a bit damaged & dry as I've hightlighted it for years. It makes my hair smoother and softer but it still has body and movement. The smell is nice as well, much less sweet than the nano line. It's expensive but does what is says.

I'm constantly trying new SLS free shampoos. This one has been quite nice. It leaves my hair feeling moisturized and less frizzy. It lathers well and makes your hair feel clean. It is a concentrated shampoo so you only need to use a tiny amount and thus it lasts forever, and is well worth the price. I'm not really a fan of the scent. It's kind of like roses and chemicals. I will be trying more products from the Pureology line.

I have wavy, fairly thick hair. It's not dry by any means - it actually tends to get greasy. So I was wary of using a product for "dry, frizzy" hair. However, I loved the fact that it doesn't have sulfates ('cause SLS makes my scalp itch) and I LURRRVE the spicy rose scent and decided to buy the 1L bottle for $40(!). I've been using it for one month now, and I haven't been disappointed. My hair has been smoother and more manageable.

My entire apartment now smells of this shampoo, but then again, I live alone. If you don't, you may need to think of how others in your house will react to the fragrance. I haven't noticed anyone backing off from me in the mornings, so I guess it's not too strong / offensive to other people.

I loved this shampoo when I first started using in (in combination with the conditioner), but it built up on my hair SO fast. It contains silicones, but no sulfates, and despite the fact that it lathers up really well considering it's sulfate-free, it never seemed to get my hair truly clean. Over time my hair just got worse and worse. My hair is naturally thick and coarse, several inches below my shoulders. This shampoo made it very difficult to manage because of the icky, sticky film it left all over my hair. It was limp and dull, and when I straightened it, it would have this odd, unnaturally straight look. It just didn't "move" well. My scalp always felt gunky and I got this patch on the underside of my hair that was really oily and bad and felt like I had glue or something in my hair! No matter how many times I'd "lather, rinse, repeat" with Pureology, my hair just didn't feel clean. I even tried using a clarifying shampoo once a week but the buildup returned really, really fast. I started noticing a LOT of hair falling out, too...in the shower, after I combed it, etc...but I figured it was just a coincidence.

Once my bottles were running really low, I knew there was no way I'd spend that much $$ on this product again, so I bought another brand and bam! My hair is back to being fabulous, shiny and bouncy, and the day I stopped using Pureology, I noticed a lot less hair coming out in my comb, and now I hardly lose any! Perhaps I just had too much buildup on my scalp and it was affecting my normal hair loss pattern?

This shampoo smells amazing, though...like a warm, spicy rose...very strong, and really lingered in my hair all day. I did love that! I just wasn't happy with the results.

This is official my favorite shampoo/conditioner line. I've use hydrate and it was very good too. The scent smells like roses and is very nice, but not strong. But the results are amazing because my hair still maintains it's natural wave but enhanced with shine, body, and moisture.. with a great smell lol. The one piece of advice I'd give though is to clairify hair as needed to remove the silicones in it. This is an easy fix though, and I am a hair junkie and this has been my favorite line so far. =)

I decided to try this with the Smooth Conditioner after all the great reviews on here. I have to say that for the price I paid for both $44 AUD each I'm don't really see a huge difference between this and Redken Colour which is haf the price. I understand that this is a heavy product and prob not suitable for fine hair, but I have very think, wavy European hair and lots of it and I felt that using the shampoo and conditioner together weighed my hair down and made it look really dirty after day. If I use the shampoo with a Redken conditioner then I find a happy medium. The Pureology Smooth Conditioner doesnt really do much for me either. I will maybe buy the shampoo again but not the conditioner.

If you've had a Brazilian blowdry then this doesn't strip the treatment from your hair like shampoos containing salt and sulphites.
Love the smoothing properties (it was noticeable when I switched from the hydrate shampoo). Love the smell too. Don't love the price!
It does lather well but for my medium length thick hair I have to shampoo 2-3 times to get it clean and it does little to remove scalp buildup so I'm withholding a star for that.

This shampoo really does smooth my wavy hair out and cut down on the frizzies. I switch between this one and the Hydrating one, and I use the Hydrating conditioner. The smell of this shampoo... omg, I love it. It's like a spicy rose scent and I can smell it on my hair all day. This is a fantastic shampoo.

I'm actually out of this one right now because I'm using a dreaded MOP shampoo I wanted to try, but I'm so ready to run out of my current one and go back to Ulta and get this one.
