Wow, this was a disappointment. What an ordinary shampoo. It's mediocre in every way--lathers poorly, is overfragranced, and drying--and left my hair a tangled mess, which the matching conditioner did not remedy. No volume, no conditioning, nothing. The packaging is poorly conceived as well. Obviously, I will not repurchase.

Age: 44-55   Skin: Dry, Fair, Neutral   Hair: Blond, Wavy, Fine   Eyes: Green

Hair type: fine (due to age and processing - was thick a long time ago) but a lot of it, gets super frizzy if not treated right, processed (highlights and permanent hair color). Long. I'm not a big lover of piling on hair products so the shampoo/conditioner/treatment oil need to be sufficient in making my hair look good. That's my basis of judgment here.

I am going to be the odd woman out - I don't like this shampoo (nor the conditioner) at all. The second lippie is because it lathers well and smells lovely. But that is where the love ends. It gives volume but I find that it leaves my hair too frizzy and dried out. It is not nearly as nourishing as I would like it to be. I bought it together with another Kerastase set (Elixir Ultime) and that set was by far superior. Making aging hair look more brittle - as it did in my case - not a good sign.

I have fine straight color treated hair that lack volume. And having tried many other Kerastase shampoos/conditioners/masks previously, can say that this line works best for me. It gives me full, thick and soft to the touch hair that no drug store shampoo could ever deliver. I guess it's the collagen that these products contain that allows for such great results.

Age: 36-43   Skin: Sensitive, Fair   Hair: Blond   Eyes: Blue

I'm 41 young caucasian lady with highlighted fine hair and had my hair ruined by micro ring extensions as well as prior to it very bad hair cut with too many layers. So I've started using age premium range a couple of months ago these includes the shampoo, mask and supplement. The supplement should be used for at least 4month that's equivalent to 5 boxes since the packaging is 24tablets and 24 capsules which you take together. After 1st wash I didn't like how my hair looked and felt but after prolong use it looks incredible, my daughters and other people have noticed huge improvement but most importantly I'm very happy with results myself. I also use new Elixir after blow drying and Ciment termique prior to it. I have used the Specifique range before including ampoules, which are quite expensive but the results wasn't as good as from Age Premium range.

I have thick brown hair. i do highlight and lowlight my hair plus I have curly gray short hair growing wild. This shampoo is my HG. I love that it tames down the wire feel to a smooth silky finish. I stopped using a flat iron and now dry with hairdryer and round brush in sections. With this shampoo it is easy and fast. The shampoo lathers up very well and easy to wash out. I only use a small amount and wash twice. I hate dry itchy or weighted down hair.I thought my hair was too young looking to use this bain substantif for mature hair but my hair loves it so I will continue to use as my hair feels like silk and I get asked all the time what shampoo I use.

Surprisingly, no one has reviewed it before. Well, I do not know whether it is an early verdict since I only used it twice. However, since I have difficult, fine, dyed and highlighted hair, it is actually easy to decide. My first impression is very good for now. It was easy to detangle my hair and I did not need to apply much conditioner than before. I will update my review soon.

UPDATE (Upon requests): Still love it. I am not sure, whether it really works since I made my shoulder long hair cut and got rid from the dry-brittle part of my hair. My search for the ideal shampoo still goes on and I think that it would not end, since I am hard to satisfy.
