Awful stuff. There is nothing hydrating about this lotion. My skin is dry and parched after using this lotion!! It doesn't moisturize at all. Application is messy...it is ridiculously thin, so every time I try to apply, I inevitably end up with a few drips on my rug. I also think it causes little pimples and bumps when I use it on my neck and chest.
The only good thing about it is the scent, and that's because I got to choose what scented oils they mixed in.
I honestly do not get the success of Aveda. NONE of their products work for me and they are so overpriced for what they are. Fortunately I got this lotion complimentary, but I think it sells for $20-something??!!! It comes in a cheap plastic bottle with a lid that clogs after the first few uses. It's not worth a penny.

I didn't think I would like this lotion as much as I do when I first received it as my birthday gift from Aveda. The texture is rather liquidy so I thought that it must not be that great at hydrating. I was wrong. Despite the light and thin texture this lotion actually performs very well and really sinks in and gets rid of scaly skin. The results actually last a bit longer than the average body lotion too. When I put this on at night and then take my morning shower the next day my legs still hold on to a bit of smoothness and suppleness from this moisturizer. I actually think now that the thinness of this lotion is an asset because this lotion sinks in immediately and is able to give benefits to the skin sooner, rather than sit on top of the skin like thicker body butters made of shea or coco butter (not that I don't like lotions made of those things but they do tend to take way too long to sink into the skin for me)

It doesn't moisturize at all. It disappears and evaporates from my skin because of the alcohol content. Not recommended.

This is my HG lotion. I originally came across it when for my birthday I got a postcard from Aveda for a free personal blends product. I needed new lotion so asked for the lotion, but without added fragrance. Since that moment, I was hooked!
The texture of the lotion is pretty thin, but it is moisturizing and sinks in very quickly. I have dry skin and this provides the perfect amount of hydration, but those with very dry skin may find it doesn't provide enough.
This formula has no fragrance, which is nice for those with sensitive skin like myself! It is also paraben and phenoxyethanol free.
I will say its pretty expensive. Having to shell out $18 for 6.7 fl oz is not something I'm terribly excited about, but since it doesn't irritate my skin, is fragrance free and provides the perfect amount of hydration I pay for it.
Overall, my HG lotion that I will buy until they discontinue it! Ingredients:
