Although, I have dry skin I prefer a foaming cleanser as opposed to a creamy cleanser. I went to the Olay website & did some research. I do not mind the scent of Olay skincare so, I expected this foam to smell great. The scent is ok but, I would have liked it more if the scent was very "fresh" smelling like the Olay creams. After using this Total Effects 7 in 1 Anti-Aging Revitalizing Foaming Cleanser, my skin feels smooth & not dry @ all which is a delight!! The 3 things I would change is the tube, fragrance, & just a tad more foam. I find that the product is difficult to squeeze out towards the end. Maybe if the plastic of the tube was softer, the foam would dispense more easily. If I like a product, I am a very loyal consumer. I am already on my 2nd tube. :) Olay, please do not discontinue selling this!! Thank you.........

This product is effective at washing off my foundation, but is a little harsh for my sensitive skin. I like the scent, and think this face wash might work well for others with skin that isn't quite as sensitive. I will not buy this product again because of the slight irritation. Overall, the effects are exaggerated (to be expected with it's claims), is slightly irritating but should be fine for normal skin, and is a decent face wash.

This is a decent cleanser, but I don't necessarily feel revitalized or any of the other 7 effects promised after using it. Like many products, it over sells itself. As for how it works, it gets my skin clean, though I have to wash the area around my eyes twice, because it doesn't remove non-waterproof eyemakeup on the first pass. It has a typical gel-soap consistency, not too foamy, and rinses fairly easily. It's not too stripping, but I do feel a slight tightness after rinsing - though it's nothing that can't be solved with a few drops of almond oil. Because it is slightly drying, I only use it at night when washing off the day's make-up....it's strength is not necessary in the AM. If you wear a lot of makeup, or waterproof makeup, you may want to use makeup remover before using. Personally, I'd rather use a cleanser that takes it all off, I don't want any extra steps with extra products at night.
The price is up there for a drugstore cleanser - between $8 and $10 depending on where you buy - and I think that is a little high for what it does. What it claims to do is a whole lot of BS - it's just a decent cleanser, nothing more, nothing less. There are many others on the market that do the same thing for much cheaper. I'll use this one up, but doubt I'll repurchase.

I have always liked cleansers that foamed up. However, now that I am older, I was afraid that this product would dry my skin out. First, I'd like to talk about the price. I have comparison shopped & as always Walmart has the best prices. Second, I like the tube because it can stand up. Much better than a pump container. Third, it smells & foams up nicely. I don't mind the Olay scents @ all. The consistency of the foam is very mild. After washing my face, my skin feels nice & silky, never dry. I will definitely re-purchase this item. PLEASE do not discontinue!!! Thank you, Olay!!! :)

This is a decent cleanser but not one that I would probably repurchase. Like the rest of the Total Effects line, the cost runs a bit higher than other drugstore products. I think it's justified as far as the moisturizers are concerned, which contain some quality ingredients. Not so much for a cleanser in my opinion. The product claims listed on the package are a bit ridiculous and not at all what I expected when I purchased this. I really just want a cleanser to cleanse my face :) This one foams up nicely, rinses cleanly and does a decent job of makeup removal, although it never quite got all my mascara (which isn't waterproof). It's not overly stripping. It has a pretty strong floral fragrance which I wasn't crazy about it. The packaging is perfect, a squeeze tube with a plastic film over the opening that prevents leaking. Overall I think this is worth trying for normal to oily skin but it didn't impress me enough to repurchase.

I started using this about a month ago and have definitely seen an improvement in my skin. I'm not a big fan of the perfume-y scent, but I got over that. It cleanses well, removes all my makeup, leaves no residue, and my skin feels clean, but not tight - which is perfect. It's a little pricey, but considering it's effectiveness, it's worth it. I'm repurchasing.

A great cleanser. It leaves no residue and my skin feels so soft and looks radiant. I will repurchase.

This cleanser came as a free gift with another Olay product. I find it to be almost the same as other foaming Olay cleansers in appearance and performance so I would buy it again, but only on sale. The increase in cost and name ( Total Effects) over the cheaper Olay cleansers is to me just a marketing ploy.

I was using this about 3 years ago and accidentally left it at my mom's after a weekend visit. Rushed out to pick more up because I was loving it then of course got distracted by some other cleanser since I'm such a cleanser ho, lol. Anyway, wish I would have continued using this. Have been through probably a dozen (literally) cleansers since then, and just bought some again. First time I've used it since I left it at my mom's 3 years ago.
Review: FABULOUS. Better than I remembered, since it removes makeup (blush, powder, concealer, eye shadow, eye mascara) amazingly well in addition to smelling incredible (hey, that stuff matters to me), leaving my skin clean yet not tight, lathering well, helping decrease my pore size, and helping control the occasional acne I get.
Conclusion: My days of being a cleanser ho may finally be coming to an end, lol.

My skin is in a weird place right now because I am on Retin A. I usually use jojoba and Cetaphil with a toner afterwards to remove makeup but the toner was drying me out majorly in conjunction wtih the Retin A and the jojoba and Cetaphil weren't enough to get the longwear foundations off.
I decided to try this-it did get my skin clean of all makeup traces but it also made me feel really tight afterwards and I felt like my moisturizer kind of sat on top and didn't absorb. After a few days I found my dry patches from Retin A were even MORE dry. I can't swear it is from this cleanser, but that tight feeling is a definite hint. I like its cleansing power but it is just a little too harsh for my newly sensitive skin.

So far I really like this. I like the Total Effects Line in general (I use the 7-in-1 lotion that Costco carries), and I was looking for a creamy or liquid cleanser to use with my Clarisonic, so I thought this would be a good choice. This cleanser foams up nicely as advertised, and I love the scent: very pleasant but not too strong. It seems to remove all my makeup, but that could be the Clarisonic. It rinses off nicely and leaves my skin feeling clean but not too tight, no weird film. The scent and easy rinse-off make this a buy-again for me.

Love this cleanser! I have combination skin in the winter and a little more oily in the summer. I just started using this now so I don't know if I will still like it in the winter. So far, I love the scent. I don't like fragrance free stuff so everything I use has to be scented in a pleasant way. This cleanser makes my skin soft and glowy after using and doesn't dry me out. I was using neutrogena extra gentle cleanser although I like but it wasn't scented so I am moving on to this. This is my new love. It's a bit pricey though for a drugstore cleanser. I paid $9.99 at CVS.

I got this in Big Lots with the Total Effects cream for $10. Since it came with the cream, i decided to give it a try, and it turns out that i love this more than the cream. It's not a super cleanser that wipes everything away, and it doesn't help with fine lines or wrinkles (it's only a cleanser, not a serum), but it leaves my face feeling smooth and soft without the tight feeling. Fragrance is a bit strong, but not unpleasant or unbearable. Overall, it's a good solid cleanser and I probably will repurchase.

Love this. I have dry skin, but I like that squeaky clean feeling when I wash my face. It removes all makeup, dirt, oil, but not all waterproof mascara. This product cleans without completely drying out my skin. The opening has that whatever -you- call- it-pluggy- thing--when you squeeze the tube the product comes out, but stops the liquid from leaky out when it's just lying about--which I would like to see on all liquid products. It has a fragrance that I like for the moment--feminine.

I actually wasn't expecting to like this since it's really hard for me to find something that won't give me a pimple the next day or dry out my skin. This has done neither. I've been using it for about a week now. It's very foamy and deep cleanses well. I get a tinge of glow from this too!My only complaint is that the scent is a bit strong for my taste.

This is way too drying for my combo, sensitive skin and the fragrance was irritating. Otherwise it's a nice cleanser so I won't trash it but I will pass it on to my mom.
