Ignore how shimmery this looks when you buy it. for some reason the top layer is coated with sparkles...just wipe this layer off and underneath is the perfect overall powder. I find its a little dark to use strictly as a highlighter and a little light to be used as a bronzer so I just quickly brush this all over my face and its pearly finish highlights where I want it to but super subtly bronzes the rest (most bronzers look too harsh on me) so this gives a bronzed look without going overboard.

I have never found a highlighter that I liked until now. My skin is fair and prone to oiliness, and most highlighters just leave me looking like an oil slick a few hours after applying. This is SO different. Truth be told, I only purchased this b/c it was on sale at CVS for $6.99. I think the price point for many PF products is too high, but that being said, maybe I am wrong, because this highlighter rivals much more expensive brands you might see at Sephora.
You get a large amount, enough to last a year, in a sturdy, beautiful package that looks expensive. I like that there are no actual "pearls" that can get messy/lost, just raised indentations in the powder. Now, don't be scared of how shimmery the product looks in the pan, because once it is applied, it leaves a luminous glow, not shimmery or glittery. It gives you a radiant, "glowing from within" complexion. Although it appears to be a light pink in the pan, it is colorless when applied. I use this on my cheekbones, brow bones, and also as a highlighter for the inner corner of my eyes. I even use this when I am otherwise bare faced, just lounging around the house, b/c it makes me look healthy and "glowy" rather than dull.
The effect is subtle in that I don't think anyone would realize you are "wearing" highlighter....but they will notice your glowing complexion!
Best highlighting product I have ever used!

I didn't like this product at all! I thought that I could use it for a highlighter or over my foundation for a nice "glow," but all it accomplishes is to make my face look shiny! It doesn't work for me as a highlighter at all--it doesn't even show up. I think that for the price (it is more expensive than my revlon colorstay foundation), it should be a better product! I would definitely not buy this again. In fact, I am starting to think that Physicians Formula makeup is just poor quality!

This is a really good highlighter, Especially for a drugstore brand! It's not glittery or filled with an overwhelming amount of shimmer like you see in the pan, It's actually a really nice subtle look when you apply it. I use it on my cheekbones and I would really say it gives a nice luminous effect. The compact is very sturdy and includes a little brush and mirror. The little applicator they include is almost like what Benefit gives with their boxed powders, it's very small and thin. Rather than using the brush it comes with I'd recommend using a fluffy brush to apply it, It'll also help spread of the powder rather than concentrating it in one spot. I feel like this would probably even work as an all over powder for a luminous finish over foundation, because if applied lightly it's very natural but can also be builded up for a more noticable highlight on cheekbones. At $14 it's a good deal :o)

WOW! what a gorgeous highlight! absolutely stunning! i also have the bronze pearl from the same collection and love it. The packaging on that one is really sturdy so i was surprised when i opened this one up and thought it was broken bc the pan kept shaking. i was able to pick it up to get to the mirror side without it falling off as i was scared would happen. surprisingly the brush is very soft and not stiff. i haven't used it with the product yet but i will def try it out.

After reading many reviews on MakeupAlley, I finally bought this pressed powder. This colour is perfect for my skin (asian skin which is in the mid-mediums). I don't usually wear make up and hate the feeling of too many products on my face. This pressed powder is light and goes on the skin very nicely. It helps blend my concealer nicely in. It's definitely a good finish on the face. I simply love it. The only reason I didn't rate it as "5" is that without concealer, it does not cover up red blemishes. Also, the brush sucks. I tried to use it for a few days, but finally gave up because it's too stiff and hard. I would definitely buy it again!

Oh my, this is the highlighter I've been searching for! The sheen is absolutely gorgeous. I love that there's no glitter here, just glowy perfection. I don't have deep lines but I do have more mature skin and this powder gives me that youthful sheen and doesn't exacerbate the crepiness above my cheekbones. I was a little worried the color might be too light for my nw25 skin color but it's just perfect. I don't see any obvious color, just a warm, dewy glow. Would highly recommend and will definitely repurchase.

This is a very good highlighter. It gives a subtle shimmer. I love that there are no big chunks of glitter. It is comparable to higher end products. I originally purchased a highlighter that was twice the price. I prefer this to the expensive highlighter. I will repurchase when this is gone.

love the color, love the shimmer. It is not too shimmer. I think it is a bit expensive and there is no need for the little brush, so it is a waste of space. Please give more product and ditch the mirror and brush.

I absolutely LOVE this powder!!!!! It makes your skin soooo gorgeous and glowing - and in photos?? oh my goodness, like a Victoria's Secret model or something. I get compliments on how beautiful I look every time I wear it. I bought it on a whim because CVS advertised it as BOGO 1/2 off so I was like eh, why not? I ended up loving it so much, I bought a second one while on vacation because I accidentally left it at home. Try it out!!

Im not one for powders, as i hate the way they make my face feel dirty and dry. Ive been looking for a powder for so long, which doesn't do this, and gives a nice youthful glow. Hallelujah!! I've found it in this, love love love this powder!!!! So beautiful, soft and glowing for my skin, bonus no cake face for me! Which is a huge deal as I am fair and have freckles, so you can tell when I'm wearing to much. Only reason I didn't give it 5 lippies, like others, is the stupid brush, plus due to the uneccisary brush, the extra part at the bottom makes it a little bulky. Other than I'm in love, and I'm sticking to it!!!

I love this. Powders usually make my skin flaky but this actually makes it feel quite soft. Makes my skin look all glowy. The brush is rubbish, but that's true for most brands, and the packaging is silly. I will still buy it again. This has made me want to have a look at other Physicians Formula products.

The sparkling overlay of this powder is just an illusion... under that it is luminous glow finishing powder that will highlight your skin. It gives more of a sheen than anything else and the variation of pearl colors blend into one even shade on your skin. The pattern reminds me of something Guerlain would make, like Guerlain Meteorites pressed powder. I came across this when I was looking for a dupe of Christian Dior Amber Diamond powder. I think this shade and the Light Bronze are the best options. They are really good every day highlighters, but the Shimmer Strips are awesome for a dramatic glow. The transparent shade is for very fair skin. It looks like a white ivory on skin. The bronze is for deep skin colors because it has a lot more pigment in a golden bronze shade.

I bought this product to use as a highlighting powder and it does what it says it does! It give my such a beautiful glow. I use it as a setting powder over my foundation and it give me that professional flawless look I was looking for! I took off one lippie because the brush that comes with it is just awful!!! It is more like a broom and it scratches. Gotta get a separate, softer brush to make it work.

I have medium tone skin and I really like the beige pearls. I use this as a highlighter and it is very subtle to give you a nice dewy, highlight sheen look. The product is not glittery and has a slight (very slight) shimmer, but when you buy the product it appears glittery on the package but this is only because of the overspray. I swiped my finger across a couple of times to get rid of the overspray glitter and thus to use the "real product" which I love. It has a bronzy tone when I swiped it, but all you see when you put it on your face is the highlight and doesnt darken/bronze your skin at all.

I have the NARs albatross which I use as a highlight that gold glitter/shimmer but it is a bit too much to wear during the day so i use this if I go out at night. I personally prefer the PP pearls to use during the day because it is very subtle and natural looking which I like.

Im happy I didnt get the transluscent pearl because it may leave a slight white cast on your face making the highlight more pronounced (i tried my friends) but if you have a lighter skin tone then the white cast wont be noticable. I am a Mac NW25, NC30-35.

The package is sooo flimsy and the pan fell out after the inital use and i was surprised to see how little product they give (i thought it would be thicker by looking at the middle portion of the plastic compartment. The product amount is probably half of whats truly in the plastic middle compartment)

I am in love with this product. I apply it to my cheekbones, nose, chin, and forehead. I never want to be without this product ..

It looks a little shimmery / glittery but it is not.
It literally looks like you took the "skin" of a pearl and translucently put it over your skin. Although, when I apply it -- it tends to wipe off some of my blush / bronzer. I most likely just need a different brush. I want to try the light bronze version next.

I actually got this in the "Light Bronze" shade, which is slightly lighter than the Beige Pearls. I am actually beige-colored myself and I wanted something lighter than I could use as a highlighter.

End result: this was EXACTLY what I wanted. I wanted something pearly but not glittery that could accent certain parts of my face like my chin, nose and cheekbones. This worked fantastically! It comes out as a more or less peachy-golden, slightly shimmery sheen and it looks great on warm-colored skin. (I'm honestly not sure how well this would work on pale skin; it'd probably be a good bronzer but not a good highlighter). Personally, since this is fairly sheer, I like applying it to specific parts of my face with eyeshadow brushes or some other brush like a concealer brush. I'd imagine that it'd look great/dewy/pretty if you use a large powder brush and put it all over, but I have oily skin so I avoid doing that in case I start to look shiny super early in the day.

I don't really have an issue with it fading away, but I usually have some sort of foundation/concealer on or lotion underneath for the product to cling to. The packaging is nice but feels kind of cheap (especially with that plastic pearl on top, haha). Overall, though, this is one of the coolest pieces of makeup that I own. I highly recommend it!
