Absolutely gorgeous cool purple shimmer. The shimmer, not sparkle or glitter, just shimmer, reflects a lighter fuchsia shade--a really, really outstanding color. Applies pretty standard, and the packaging is quite basic. The worst thing for me about any Illamasqua nail color is the price(US$17 is a bit steep)but the application is consistently a dream with every Illamasqua varnish I'd tried, and I've yet to experience any chipping, ever--so I've always gotten my money's worth.

I Just picked up this color, I was interested in it for a while. I have never been big into shimmery nail polishes, but I had recently found my eyes caught on this color. I know there are other duplicates of it in other brands, like Nars, and Mac, but for some reason the shimmer always seemed much more pronounced in those than this one. I Love a deep purple, an aubergine. I find the shimmer to be interesting contrast of pink/purple to the deepness of the base. Very lovely and eye catching. I am wearing this nail polish right now with a contrasting matte nail to make it pop even more in my opinion. I also like that this polish goes fantastic with my skin tone, doesn't bring out the red in my hands (gah that drives me nuts)
The packaging is nice, I like square (rectangular) packaging more than other rounded containers. I don't know why, easier storage maybe?
Not bad in price currently $14 for a 0.5 ounce. I have seen worse, I am looking at you Dior polishes... 0.33 ounces for $24 >.>

Today just for curios... I put on Baptiste on one hand and MAC Rain of Flowers [Posh Paradise Collection] on the other. I am amazed how close these two are in shade.
I say they are 98% similar with indoor light. But if you put them under bright light or sunshine, Baptiste is much solid and deep. Rain of Flowers is more purple shade.
The shimmer is very very close!! About the same really.
The texture - Baptiste is much better than Rain of Flowers. Hands down!

If you can find Baptiste, snatch them all up!
It's a beautiful, rich, deep purple color with fine shimmer to it when in light. I absolutely LOVE the application and staying power of Illamasqua's polishes. It goes on opaque and clean, not goopey, thick or streaky. In fact, I can get away with only one coat of Baptiste. It is definitely my HG "dark" polish. It's smooth, creamy, and deliciously shiny and long-wearing.
For $14USD it's around the same price as MAC, and even cheaper than other designer polishes, but with the best coverage, wear, and shades I've ever seen. The bottle is also quite large, so you're getting a lot of product for your money and based on the little amount needed for a great result. This is the one and only nail polish I've ever worn that makes both men and women stop, grab my hands, and shift them all over so they can see how awesome it is. It's also a great present for polish junkies!

My favorite purple polish! I love that it's not black indoors and sparkles in all light. The reddish shimmer just makes this polish look alive. Truly gorgeous. I'm on day 4 now and absolutely no chipping or tipwear even! 2 coats with gelous and SV but I could have easily gotten away with 1 generous coat. I did put a coat of Barielle ME after day 1 so we'll see on wear. Illamasqua is expensive but totally worth it. P.S. I don't love the short handle & polish pools on brush but if those are my only gripes I'll take it! EDIT: got a full 7 days of gorgeousness. Wow!

Absolutely perfect colour! It looks so gorgeous on, and itīs a dream to apply. (as are all of the Illamasqua polishes in my experience) Good durabilty (two coats + base and top), a bit slow to dry though, but nothing major.
Canīt stop looking at my nails :)

This is a gorgeous deep shade of purple w/shimmer that I have been searching for for years. It's not too dark that it reads as black. It actually looks purple no matter what light you're in. The coverage is fully opaque w/just one coat. I like how easily the formula glides on. It did chip after 1 day but I only had 1 coat on + top coat. Also everything chips immediately on me.
