So shocked with all the bad reviews on this pencil!
Its not groundbreakingly amazing or anything! But at the end of the day its a brow pencil, it stays on all day, it goes easily enough, And the colour i get is 'blonde' and i have mid brown hair so its really flattering.
People are saying stuff about problems with sharpening the pencil? I dont have this problem to be honest i make sure i apply a lot of pressure when sharpening and its fine.
It also has the finish of a powder rather than an oily pencil that slides off which i like.
Bit on the pricy side but you get a lot.

I'm very surprised with the negative reviews on this product because I love mine. I love the COLOR and I hope they don't discontinue it. I love that it's gray-brown and very neutral, compliments my face and hair. I haven't found any equivalent in other brands.
It easily glides on, powdery finish (vs waxy kind which I hate).
As for the sharpening, since I apply at an angle, I do get a great deal of the product on the wooden exposed part of the pencil but I sharpen with no problem. My tip is, be gentle with the sharpening, twist it gently so it doesn't crumble to pieces.
I'm already on my 2nd pencil so no doubt, I will continue to buy and hope that they don't discontinue this.

What a disappointment. I generally love BB products, and this pencil in Gray is the exact color I need for my brows but the cheap quality of the pencil is a non-starter. It is impossible to sharpen. I lost over 50% of the pencil in abortive attempts to get a point. The point shatters and breaks below the pencil edge and you have to grind it down to even get to the product which then promptly shatters again.
Save your $$. This is a loser.

I could have thrown my $22 into the gutter--instead I purchased this worthless product.
I'm a BB fan and own many of her products. This is the only one that has been a massive failure.
As other mentioned, it won't sharpen. I tried freezing it, using various sharpeners, etc., but nothing works.
I also posted a review on the BB site to make them aware of my displeasure, and suggest you do as well.

Worst. Product. Ever. Color not bad ( I'm a brunette, and like most of the others viewing this product, the SA matched me to blond, too. Go figure) and I was intrigued by the choice of a lighter palette on my brows, but sheesh, you only get to use this pencil till the first break or wear down, because forget about sharpening this thing. I tried, and stood aghast watching a very expensive waterfall of color pour out until there was nothing left. I gave this a "1" only because there is no "0"!

I have this in Grey. It is a ash blonde/grey that will work well with brunettes and asians.
It's just a little too dark for me to use at the start of my brows because I have naturally very sparse brows. I use this towards the end and to elongate the brow.
I like the texture that this gives, it's very natural and people really can't tell that I have filled in my brows.
Sharpening-wise, I don't have any problem, just don't twist the sharpener all the way around. If you sharpen too much, the pencil doesn't work as well.
Will not repurchase because I prefer the Shiseido Maquillage pencil.

This is just the WORST eyebrow pencil ever!!! Agreed with most of the reviewers, it just crumbled away while sharpening and while applying it. It will also crumbled by putting the pencil on the table. I sharpened it more than 4 times and still didn’t get the shape I wanted as it keeps crumbled. I don’t even get to use 20% of the pencil it self. NOT WORTH BUYING at all!!!

I am the queen of eyebrow pencils and this has to be the WORST ive ever tried, just a mess. Where do i start...I got matched to 'blonde', I am a brunnette/tanned but I dont like my eyebrows to look too dark and the SA rec this, shade is so off and strong. But i didnt give this pencil a ''1'' rating because i got the wrong shade. The pencil just crumbles away!! When i tried to sharpen it i swear to god i crumbled away 1/4 of the pencil!! I tried to eventually apply and its very powdery not waxy and i really had no control over it. Applied very badly. And rubs away if u literally just run your finger across the brows. So staying power is awful. For me shiseido used to do the best e/b pencils until they discont them and now have some very average ones, so for now LM in blonde is perfect for me, rimmel a close second.

Awful product - was matched by BB SA to Wheat and when I got home and used it - the colour was terrible - far too orange and very unnatural. I feel robbed and will go back to using BB flint eye shadow.

Please don´t waste your money on this pencil- it’s a terrible product. I have it in mahogany, which on the pencil looks like the perfect colour, but the consistency of it lets it down. I wouldn’t describe it as a waxy pencil OR a hard pencil (both of which have merits), but this is more CRUMBLY. By this I mean, it crumbles when you sharpen it, when you use it directly on the brow, and even when you use a brush, to pick up some of the pigment.
The pigmentation is also a major problem, not only is it incredibly rich, but it is not cosmetically elegant: when I apply, wither I get ‘Cruella de Vil’ type lines, or, if I try to smudge with my Laura Mercier brow brush (HG by the way) they turn into uncontrollable, blotchy caterpillars.
On to packaging:, the lid doesn’t stay on the pencil, which together with the crumbly consistency, spell bottom of handbag stain disaster.
I ended up back in MAC to buy their brow pencil in taupe, which is MUCH lighter, and looks natural on my nearly black eyebrows. When I want a little more pigmentation, I run Laura Mercier brow definer wax in warm.

I cannot believe this brow pencil has even gotten ONE positive review!. It's so freaking un-natural looking. I went to the bobbi brown counter, the SA looked at me and said 'you'll want this in 'blonde' so i trusted her and purchased it. When I got home I applied it and firstly I noticed it's crazily pigmented, even applied with a VERY light hand. Secondly, the color is completely wrong (thanks SA) it's very warm and my eyebrows are very ashy/light. This just looks horrible..... Please please pleeaaase try this on your actual brows before you buy or you might not be aware of how bad it is. I would suggest $2 drug store eyebrow pencils way before this.

I think this is a really nice product, especially if you are typically a fan of powder brow fillers. This pencil is almost more of a pressed powder. It makes brow filling easy and looks more natural than many of the pencils I've tried. I picked it up in the "grey" shade, which is actually not grey at all. It's more of an ashy taupe brown. Very natural looking brow color IMO. It can be applied lightly or with a heavier hand. It actually can get pretty dark if you aren't careful. Unless your brows are jet black, this will probably be dark enough for you, but it also works on more fair and medium skintones if you use a light hand. Though I like this product and think it's nice, I just can't justify the price to continue using it when there are comparable products for much less. I really like Rimmel's eye brow pencils and will probably go back to that once I use this up.

(Colour wheat)
Very nice and very good! Colour match is perfect, easy to use and looks completely natural - noone would guess you'd touched up your eyebrows. Pencil is so fine its practically a powder and therefore easy to blend so it dosnt look harsh. Can tell already this will last for a very long time, despite the quite expensive cost.
It is a bit of a pain to sharpen but I've been gentle and delicate with it and its been fine so far.
Edit: I have lowered this to a 4 - being gentle in sharpening worked fine for a while, but then it just became useless and was constantly snapping off! In an final attempt to rescue the pencil i decided to abandon being gentle and instead shapen it with a firm hand and very quickly, which worked and its now sharp with no snapping.
If you buy one of these, be aware to sharpen it firmly and quickly so it hopefully wont snap!

Bobbi Brown gets points for including a brow sharpener with this product, but the product itself breaks off in the quick when you try to sharpen it. I got the color wheat, which I thought would be a good color match for me, since I have medium blonde hair. It seemed to pull red on me, so it wasn't the best match, IMO.
I used the pencil about 2 days before I tried to sharpen it. Application is smooth and easy, you need a very light hand to apply. It's not hard or chalky. BUT, sharpening is a nightmare. I completely twisted off the point twice this AM - it just broke down to the quick. And yes, I've sharpened many pencils before, LOL. I wanted to try another color, but after this mess, I'll pass. Boo. Back to the drawing board this one needs to go.
