My main gripe about this lipstick is how unnatural it looks. It's like a mauvey-berry coloured lipstick with a lot of frost (not shimmer), which makes it look a little old fashioned. It reminds me of a lipstick that my grandma or aunty would have worn 20 years ago (my mum doesn't wear much makeup)
The quality is okay, non-drying (wouldn't call it moisturising either) and the smell is, again I'd hate to say it, old-fashioned. It has an unnatural perfume scent - inoffensive, but a smell that is typical of some high-end brands like Dior.
I am a massive fan of MAC lipsticks which have a much more natural finish (even the most outlandish colours still manage to look somewhat natural) with the vanilla scent I love. I won't go off-topic though. What saves this lipstick is if you apply it with a light hand (even swipe your finger across your lips after application to take some of the colour off) and then applying a clear gloss over the top; this will take some of the frostiness off.

The colour is a perfect neutral blushing rose, of same exellent quality as always with Chanel. But alas, the frost shine destroyed it all for me. Won´t repurchase.

At first I want to return this because when i tried it at home, doesnt flatter me at all, i enjoyed my perle lipstick better. I was really looking for something that will pop my face up when im at work because most of my lipstick all turns out the same color at the end of the day kinda fuschia pink. So, I put it in my pocket and brought it to work and I LOVE IT !!! It's my second day to use it at work and I just look awesome :) This will be my work lipstick and it covers well , It looks so beautiful in my medium to tan colored skin.

Needed a lift after a week in the Midwest for my dad's final illness and funeral. Happened into the duty free at the airport and purchased this lipstick, a lovely rose on my fair skinned, ash blonde visage; the color brightened my face without being garish. Haven't yet decided if I prefer this over MAC Viva Glam IV, my usual HG cool lip color, however.

Organdi Rose is another favorite of mine. It's a gorgeous rosey pink with a hint of shimmer. It has a nice satiny finish, and it feels so amazing on the lips. On me, it wears really, really nicely. I get about 4 hours of wear out of this color especially, something about it just grabs on. This is just a perfect lip color.

I echo every single statement made in the previous review. This is my HG lipstick and that's coming from a lipstick fiend. I am NC20 and this shade is so versatile that it can be worn alone if you need to make a quick dash somewhere and don't have time to put on makeup or it is elegant enough to polish off a look for a formal setting. It is a medium-deep pinkish rose. It is a guilty pleasure for its cost, but a lovely way to pamper yourself. I have yet to find another formula (beautiful packaging is an added bonus!) that comes close to this. 5 lippies all the way!

I originally purchased Mademoiselle, but it pulled too orange on my cool toned skin, so I exchanged it for this shade. Organdi Rose is everything I was hoping Mademoiselle would be - a perfect, rosy MLBB shade. I don't find the Rouge Coco formula hydrating at all, but they're not drying either. I usually layer lip balm under lipstick anyway, so it's not a dealbreaker. I would repurchase this shade in a heartbeat.

Lovely shade of delicate rosewood (mauve rose) with a hint of shimmer to add dimension to the lips. Easily applied straight from the tube. No need to use a lipliner (that can often change the colour of the lipstick). Very longlasting. If applied with a lip brush it will looks more subtle and natural but it will not last as long. When it starts wearing off, after hours, it may feel a bit dry on the lips but it will not actually dry them. I also own Legende and Orchidee but this is my favourite one.

Beautiful color described well in comments below. It is a color that can be worn every day without thinking about or applied carefully with a neutral liner and touch of gloss (Seashell) for a very special presentation. Very subtle shimmer, mauve color that does wear well.

Organdi Rose is a warm mauve/pink with subtle shimmer. It is a color almost anyone can wear. I'm a NC40 and this l/s really brightens my face...perfect for the warmer weather.
Another great thing about this l/s (as with the rest of the RC line) is the amazing staying power. It lasts a very long time...even after eating. And the texture is so creamy, I love the way it feels on my lips.
Since there a slight yellow undertone in the color, I wear the Seashell glossimer with Organdi Rose...an awesome combination! I highly recommend this combination to anyone who wants a bit of luxury in their life. Chanel is definitely not the cheapest product on the market, but the quality of this product is phenomenal and worth every penny I paid for it.

OMG i love this lipstick. i have been looking for a go-to lipstick for sooo long now. I thought that if i were going to find a lipstick to wear everyday it would have to be chanel. i mean, look at the amazing packaging. who wouldnt want to pull out a classy chanel lipstick to apply in public (well maybe in the bathroom lol)
packaging aside, it is a beautiful shimmery rose color, but the shimmer is subtle and not overwhelming at all. i definitely see the mauve in there but i think that it looks different on everyone. i have yellow undertones and warmer colors look better on me but everyone says this looks really good on me too so thats why i decided to get it. so it has some versatility in the color for sure. the formula is awesome! its smooth and lasts a while. this color is fool proof so you dont need a mirror or careful application. my advice is to go to a chanel counter and try it on and see if its for you because i see it not looking good on some people! i personally love it and i will always reach for it :)

I have all the pinks in the Rouge Coco range and Organdi Rose was one of the last ones I bought. I initially dismissed it as I had Camelia and Gardenia and somehow Oragandi Rose seemed simliar enough to both that I didn't need it. Oh how wrong I was.
Organdi Rose is the deeper end of the lighter pinks in the range but has more presence, pigmentation and colour than Ruban Rose or Rose Comete. It's one of the fine shimmer/frost shades but really really subtle and it stands out from Gardenia or Camelia because I swear there's a touch of gold in there. It's only very slight and I'm sure most people would deny it's warm but there's some hint of yellow in there which makes it instantly blend in and appear neutral when I put it against my NC37 skin tone.
If you care about that kind of thing, men really seem to like this shade, as I've had compliments from my dad, my colleagues and boyfriend about this one. I've been trying out a different Rouge Coco shade every day for the past few weeks and whilst I've waltzed in wearing Rouge Noir, Paris, Taffeta Rose and Beige Felin, there's been nary a peep from any of them but Organdi Rose (and Perle) seemed to gain their approval. You could team this up with a neutral pink lipliner for a really polished look but this is one of the shades in my make-up drawer that I grab because I don't need to bother with a liner or brush.

A definite re-purchase for this LLL, NC-20 brunette. Organdi Rose is a gorgeous mauvey pink with slight shimmer. It looks great as an everyday color. Wears well after having a drink of tea or a glass of wine. The scent is a light rose. I love the new Rouge Coco metal case this lippie comes in (Classic black with gold center and interlocking "C's" in white on the top part of the tube).

Well, this is the 4th Rouge Coco lippy in my collection and although I really like all of them, if I had to choose, this one would be my least favourite colour-wise (but I still like it!). The other 3 I own are Mademoiselle (a must-have for everyone!), Gabrielle and Orchidee.
I wanted to have a slightly more nude lippy in my collection from Rouge Coco, but something that is more natural nude vs. concealer nude and from that perspective, Organdi Rose fits the bill. In a million years I would not know how to describe this colour, so I borrowed the term from Karlasugar's blog - Organdi Rose is a shimmery mauve rose. I think that explains it well, although, if I had heard "mauve" before buying, I probably wouldn't have bought it as mauve more frequently than not does not look good on me.
Shimmery it definitely is and rose it definitely is. Not sure about mauve though.
In regards to my comment about this being nude, please note, as you probably know already, nude is a very stretchy term depending on the colour of your complexion, lips, hair, etc. On me, this lip colour definitely benefits from being balanced with a stronger eye makeup (I am light with yellow undertones, don't know my Mac colouring), but it is possible that on some other complexions that are lighter than mine, this shows up more strongly.
I like the colour enough, could've done without the shimmer (that's just my preference), but all in all it's a nice colour.
In terms of the texture, probably because this has shimmer, it is slightly drier than other non-shimmery colours from the Rouge Coco line. No, it is not dry and will not dry out your lips, I am just saying that, as I describred in one of my other reviews, the texture of this line depends on the colour your pick. This one is in a slightly less creamier segment.
For more details on various textures, see my reviews for the other 3 colours I own.
4 lippies only because this is not my HG colour, but I do like it a lot, especially with a strong eye look.
One big downside - super-duper expensive at $42 w/ taxes in Canada.
