Pros:
-Love the way it applies(black side) . My lashes look great. Seriously cakes some product on there but still stays nicely separated.
-Pretty packaging.
-2 colors in one.

Cons:
-Brush/wand on colored (in my case, purple) side is floppy and hard to work with.
-Flakes alll day long. Drives me insane. The flaking is never ending.

I won't repurchase. And I think I need to toss this as I still occasionally grab it forgetting what a flakey mess it is.

I have to say this is my go to mascara (the black end) on a day to day basis. I does a good job, not outstanding, but for daily life it applies very easily and always look good (No clumps) which is really all I could ask for from a mascara. Plus I enjoy the glitter, though I don't really notice it on my lashes (my ex however did, so maybe it is a bit noticible than I detect.). The color end is awesome! Good color payoff though I don't find much use for a colored mascara, but it is fun to own.

I've been dying to get my hands on the purple mascara from PF in this line, and I finally picked it up. I was sooo excited to have a purple mascara!
However, the black mascara does nothing for my lashes, its very dry, and the brush is very flimsy, making it hard to get a nice thick coat on your lashes. As for the colors mascara, it also does nothing for my lashes. And it hardly shows up! It dries so dark purple I might as well just be wearing black mascara! I've tried it alone, and it's still far too dark to even notice.
Pretty disappointed in this, considering I usually love PF cosmetics! This one is a miss for me.

So, luckily I got this for free. I have the one for brown eyes. I don't have brown eyes (I am living a lie!), but purple is supposed to be universally flattering so it works.

It does clump significantly, so you have to be rigorous with brushing your lashes out after applying it.

Also, it irritates my eyes a little. Not anything excruciating, but a bit uncomfortable.

Overall, pretty meh! The purple color is nice, but if you don't care about being colorful that much, there are better mascaras out there for less money.

One day, I decided I wanted to go for something more colorful than black.
I'm very picky with my makeup, and always look for the best hypoallergenic product. This does a good job; but it may take a few coats for the color to show up. I bought the one for brown eyes (purple.)
Pros:
-The color is really nice, so many compliments too! In natural outdoor light, people tend to tell me that they love my Pink lashes. I'm fine whether it's purple or pink b/c both would look lovely.
-Doesn't smudge as much as I thought it would.
-Enhances my lashes
Cons:
-A little bit drying
-I don't like how there's more black than the purple. I mainly bought it for the purple, but it's too expensive to buy this continuously.
-I honestly hate the little glitter specks on it. Throughout the day, the glitter would tend to fall onto my cheeks.
OVERALL: I really love this product! I would definitely buy it again; but I just hope PF would sell ONLY the colored mascara, not the black!

I have this in the brown eyes version. I got it about a year ago and only got around to using it now, so I don't know if the packaging is the same (mine is black and bronze). I've tried the bronze color both alone and on top of the black and I hate it. It is way too light and makes my lashes disappear completely, so I've only been using the black side. At first I wasn't a fan of it since it made my lashes look too natural (I like my lashes to be bold and dramatic) as all the other rubber tip wand mascaras do. However, I started getting complements on it and even getting asked if i was wearing false lashes! I guess when you layer enough on you get a nice effect, so I was pleased with it. However, after a few hours it starts to flake. So although overall not a bad product, there are better things out there, and I have no need for the bronze side, so I will not be repurchasing.

i HATE this product.
worst mascara i've tried.
1-not extreamly expensive, but i could have bought two ok maybellen or covergirl mascara's, for the price of this JUNK.
2-packaging would maybe be a little better if they made the stoppers more attached, Mine came off the second time i opened this.
the black is okay, it's really black, and really nice, but they are extreamly smudgey, go on so clumpy.
i hate this more than anything i've tried.
will NEVER* think of buying again.

The only reason I would bu this again is because of the nice color I have it in green and purple ..... not cause I have green and brown eyes but cause I love the color lashes it colors really well but the black is just terrible it clumps so badly just like covergirls! I only get it because of the nice colors and thats it!

I am glad I tried this because it opened a door for me to a world of lashes that don't necessarily have to be black. I own the "Brown Eyes Duo" which is the black/purple tube. The purple is not too intense, but still noticable. I have only worn it a handful of times and have received numerous compliments on my eyes, especially if I wear this in conjunction with the purple eyeshadow. Purple certainly does amazing things for my brown eyes! The actual black mascara is nothing special. It can get pretty clumpy, which is a no-no for me. I like long, separated lashes that hold a curl. This mascara doesn't cut it. And I'm just going to comment on the weird goopy 'farting' sound that this mascara makes when I pull the wand out of the tube. Sorry, I don't know how else to describe it but it's a really gross sound - lol. I won't re-purchase this product, however; I will be on the hunt for a new, more intense purple mascara once this one runs out!

This is my favorite mascara I've ever used! I have every color except for the green one. I love the size of the black end of the wand, it applies like a dream. This thickens and gives fantastic volume. This will stay on my face for my 15-16 hour days with no flaking whatsoever. I do wish the colored end had a thicker wand like the black side, but the way it is does make it easier to get my lower lashes. I love everything about this mascara, and will repurchase when I run out.

I bought this a couple months ago, and I find that I only use the black half on the mascara. It doesn't flake, but I find it can be a bit clumpy. Overall it's just ok. I tried numerous times to use the coloured shimmer part, but it really doesn't work for me. Its becomes messy and clumpy, and the wand for the purple part is way too short, which makes it really hard to use. For me the point of buying this was for the purple shimmering half, so I won't be buying this again.

This mascara is fantastic! I was a little reluctant at first because I used the Organic Wear mascara for a while and it flaked terribly.. Not so with this mascara! I was also pleasantly surprised that the black side has a little bit of sparkle to it as well! I bought the purple mascara intended for hazel eyes (mine are green) because I thought it was a prettier colour than the mascara intended for green eyes. Because there was a SERIOUS rollback on these at Wal-Mart (under $10!!!) I bough the Glam mascara for green eyes as well and I love it. I'll definitely re-purchase. This is my HG mascara.

I bought the Blue one intended for blue eyes. The Blue mascara looks sort of like toxic waste or alien goo. I found putting the blue on top of the black mascara causes clumps, The mascara makes my eyes seem heavy. The blue is really only noticable on The top part of my eyelashes. I think i still prefer the organic brands. But i have to say my lashes are super long....

I bought the purple/black combo and it is the worst mascara ever for the damn price I paid!!! It is dry, it flakes like no tomorrow and it doesn't stay on my lashes very well...and I really like and trust Physician's Formula products!!! Am not going to waste my money on any of there mascara's again!! Yuck!!!

This is one of my favourite drugstore mascaras. I got this for $14.99 and at first, I thought it was a little bit expensive for a drugstore mascara. However, I saw that only the purple one had an extra tube of it as a bonus, at the exact same price as the other colours! And those other ones only came in one tube. I quickly snatched this one, of course because my eyes are dark brown (almost black), and let me tell you, everyone compliments me when I use it! It is a beautiful rich purple, and it ACTUALLY shows up on my lashes (which is no easy feat for most coloured mascaras because my lashes are so dark) with one swipe! I like the black side as well. The shimmer is only very subtle and is barely visible even in natural sunlight, but that is completely fine with me because I didn't buy this for the shimmer. It gives my straight, short Asian lashes a good amount of length and volume, holds a curl well, and stays on all day without smudging or flaking! I find that the brush is a tad too big, though, so it's difficult to coat your bottom lashes evenly if you don't have a business card handy. I would definitely buy this again!

Love it. You rarely can find colored mascara anywhere. So I was so happy to find these. I love the rubber wands, because it doesn't clump as much as normals ones. I have brown eyes, so I got the purple one, but I loved it so much that I got the blue one also. It is subtle, so you would have to look closely, or be in good lighting to see the color, but that's what I like about it. That way, you can wear it to school.

I am surprised to see that this mascara has had so many positive reviews. I got the version for Hazel Eyes. I had a really hard time getting the coloured wand to impart any colour onto my lashes after I applied the black. I also find that the black either comes off too easily or takes an extremely long time to dry (I am not sure which is the case). I often wear glasses and I get black lines on them when I use this mascara. I also find it can go on somewhat clumpily, at least at the tip, where a lot of the product likes to gulp together. I don't usually buy waterproof mascara but have never had an issue with it coming off before. Even though I waited two hours before going outside (thinking that maybe I wasn't letting it dry enough) on a snowy day (and let's face it, how hard is it for a tiny bit of snow to wash things off?), by the time I got back inside (I was out for maybe 20 minutes), I had mascara all over my lids and just under my eyes as well. On top of that, I don't find this mascara to be particularly thickening or lengthening. Sure my eyelashes are more visible with it than without, but this is pretty mediocre.

I bought this in the green and while I hardly ever use the colored end, I still love this product. It adds both volume and length which is nice. The brush I know has been problematic for a lot of people, but it really doesn't bother me at all. I will be buying this one again.

I am an admitted mascara-aholic. I wear it every day, and am constantly buying and throwing out tubes in my quest for the perfect one. This is the best mascara I have ever used, and I've tried some of the high end brands (Lancome, Stila, Estee Lauder, Avon, Mary Kay, and others I can't remember right now) as well as literally every drug store brand on the market. The brushes are fat and round with very firm bristles that comb through eyelashes beautifully. You get NO clumps at all. The formula is not dry but not wet either - it's perfect. The tubes seem to last forever (I have them in every color plus the new Pewter one for green eyes.) I wear mascara every day and apply it very carefully to get full, perfectly combed out lashes. This is by FAR the best brush and formula combination I have ever found. No clumps, no freaky spider lashes, great color and coverage, nice pigment, stays soft. This washes off very easily with water, so not a good choice for swimming, sweating, or rainy days. Women's Health magazine listed Lash Blash as the #1 drug store brand. I tried it several times and do like it, but this is better. The reviews here on Makeupalley show that Maybelline Full & Soft is the best drug store brand and it's ok, but again this is MUCH better.

I like this mascara, especially because of the colored side (which is rare in a drugstore mascara). I have the one with the purple mascara, and honestly, even though it's a very pretty blue-violet purple, I still wish it were more plummy purple and I could do without the shimmer. Anyway, the black mascara works great, although the wand is a little awkward. It gives me a very retro lash effect: pulled out on the outer corners and thick at the base, which I really, really like. The formula of the black mascara is excellent... just watery enough without being a runny mess. The colored side is a little dryer but the pigmentation is excellent and it colors my dark lashes perfectly. I'd like to own this in more colors.
