This is gorgeous. I love a statement lip, but I've never gone bright before Orchidee (usually preferring strong or dark shades). I was feeling blah and the MUA put this on with Rose Initiale blush and it a) brightened up my whole face, b) made my green eyes pop, and c) took 10 years off me. Okay, maybe 5. Orchidee is a coral pink, definitely a bit warm in the tube, but my pigmented pink lips neutralize it somewhat. It wears well on its own and is also very pretty with Wild Rose Glossimer on top, which takes the edge off the brightness and softens the effect a little. Orchidee, paired with Rose Initiale and just a little highlighter on the brow bone, inner corner, and top of the cheekbone, is a beautiful fresh, young look: perfect for "spring" in January!

All the Rouge Cocos have a fantastic silky, luxurious feel, are non-drying and smell nice...Plus I love the packaging, this last little click when you close the cap...Just saying, this is pure luxury and makes me feel elegant...I also have noticed that they last a long time without changes in the smell or the texture, mine have been around for more than a year, perhaps two years, and they are still the same as when I bought them.
This shade is my favourite so far, it's a very flattering pink, a bit more intense than a nude shade though...I wear it to work once in a while but am almost feeling a bit ambiguous about it, for private occasions I adore this.

It's like someone shone a tiny spotlight on my lips and managed to light up my face. Orchidee is so lovely. Would suit most any coloring but WOW on blondes it's stunning. I just know I'm going to burn in hell for paying the crazy price of this lipstick!!!!!

I love these Rouge Coco's. This is my 3rd one. I have Lune rosseau (sp?) and Cambon. I find these very moisturizing with good color pay off. This one is no exception. I find this is a more wearable daytime lippie. It is a lovely pinky/magenta rose petal kinda shade with a hint of maraschino cherry. I find that it has a little bit of a "metallic" to it as well. Nothing that dramatically noticeable in the metallic department. It look lovely against my summer skin tone NC30ish and I think it will look just as great when I'm a few shades lighter during the winter. It swipes on opaque with one swipe, which is nice. It's feels cushion-y on my lips. Overall fantastic lipstick I'm glad I got it!

This is an absolutely charming lipstick shade...It suits my NC20-25 skintone perfectly, giving it a kiss of colour with a lot of depth without being too bright but not too washed out. The colour is beautiful and in my opinion un-dupeable...It is a shimmery, pink, rosebud red colour veering toward red, but neutral enough so that you can wear dramatic smokey eyes. It is also a day safe bright, meaning you can wear it without being nervous you look like a call girl (as red lips often do during the day). I love this lipstick and will definately repurchase. I had taffetas rose and that was gorgeous too, but more violet/fuschia red with a metallic finish.

This is probably my HG lipstick right now. It pops without being over-dramatic; a great day to night shade that will surely draw compliments and color envy. And to think I picked it up on a whim!

I agree 100% with other reviewers who love this product and color.
If you are looking for a lip color that will instantly brighten your face, buy Chanel Orchidee (#17). At 63 years of age I've purchased more than my fair share of lipsticks but none have wowed me more than this one. A bonus is that the formula is fairly long lasting. Along with Orchidee I wear Chanel Lift Lumiere in #30 with Chanel Rose Petale blush.

Beautiful lipstick shade. I find it's hard to find lipcolor that brightens up the face and at the same time isn't too harsh. This is the perfect shade. Photographs brilliantly, long wearing and not drying like a lot of products that wear for longer periods.

This colour is gorgeous beyond words. It lights up your complexion, takes 5 years out of you and gives you a healthy, young, radiant glow. Believe me, it´s one of the best lipsticks ever I tried. The shy ones can wear it in the evening but I´m among the brave ones and I wear it during the day, keeping Cambon for the evenings as it´s a very similar shade but more intense, red and bold. I advice you to try it for yourselves, you´ll see what I mean.

Agreed with everyone that this is a beautiful pinky red l/s which flatters my NC20-25 skintone as it really brightens up my face. I wear this ususally with darker clothing and/or will wear extensively during the Autumn months.

Previous reviews are excellent, in fact they are what inspired me to give this shade a try. And all are correct, Orchidee does make teeth look whiter, it is a "safe" red (rose-red) and looks fab on your lips. After a looong day and week at work, I was going out to a baseball game with my family, swiped on my new Rouge Coco and somehow it really did give a boost! I have pigmented lips and usually pull fuschia and was afraid this would happen. Truthfully it does a little, but not enough to truly distort the color of the lipstick. And yes, it is red rose or a red pink, but it does work for a warmer fair-medium skintone. I think it is great right now for summer, but I also plan on using to add oomph to black cashmere in the Fall/Winter.

Honestly, I can't imagine a skin tone that wouldn't be flattered by this gorgeous lipstick. I've had a weakness for Chanel lippies lately and this has strengthened that trend. I would describe this as a "safe" red even though it has quite a bit of a pink undertone - think 2/3 red + 1/3 pinkish-beet. This is a color that you can wear to work (yes, even bankers) and wear to a formal outing as well. It is quite moisturizing and can be used alone or with a hint of gloss for added sparkle. This color also offers the added boost of whiter-looking teeth. All bases are covered with this lovely red.

I like the way this slightly shimmery red rose shade makes my dark brown eyes pop but I do not find it to be as wearable as e.g. Estee Lauder in Apricot Sun (a warmer shade), already mentioned below...I do not know whether it is because this shade is too bright or too cool for me...

After some research into Rouge Coco I decided on Orchidee. It's really far exceeding my expectations. It's pigmented, creamy, has a slight scent (exact scent of Body Shop's Vitamin E Body Butter), and the color - the COLOR - Orchidee is a beautifuly pinky red. It's slightly coral. It's similar to my Estee Lauder Apricot Sun but not as warm. It brightens my whole face. I enjoy a brighter lip so I find this just fine for a workday/everyday look. I need more of these....

Orchidee is a mid-tone pink in the Rouge Coco range with a faint shimmer. It's a pink with a good dose of red in it and veers to the warmer side. It's one of the less creamier shades in the range but I don't find it drying (actually none of the Rouge Cocos are drying on my lips even after hours of wear). It's really pretty and looks great whenever I wear it but it does need a co-ordinating pink blush. I mistaken wore this out wearing a peachy blush and felt a bit weird the entire day.
It's very close to Legende in the same range, close enough that I don't think you'd need both if you're choosing between colours. Legende runs cooler with slightly more blue tones but.

Supposedly, the Rouge Coco line is replacing the Hydrabase one in Chanel and is meant for daily wear and not just a special occasion as are the Rouge Allures, although of course one can wear any lipstick anytime. I have to say that this one is a gem. Orchidee is a pinky red coral with no brown or gold in it, and livens up my face like nothing has in awhile. There are no sparkles in the formula. It is perfect for summer, and feels very silky on. It is hydrating and plumping; with a satin finish.
This is old-fashioned, real lipstick; like what was made years ago only updated. Real lipstick; not gloss. It is smooth not sticky; and feels light on the lips with a moisturizing quality. It lasts for about three hours, at least on me.
Orchidee is a keeper; and if I ever use it up I will most certainly run out and buy another. I wear it during the day or evening, and am looking at a couple of others in the Rouge Coco line. If you want a glamorous lipstick ladies, go out and take a look at this one!
