This is the WORST shampoo ever! It DRIED my hair horribly (my hair was in good condition before I decided to use this). After using the shampoo 3 times (a very small amount of it) my hair became damaged, completely dry and dull... my hair was naturally shiny, now itīs not. It is totally weakened and without volume. It damaged my hair cuticle.
Also the first time I used it I felt my scalp EXTREMELY DRY and itchy!! I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH A BAD REACTION FROM A SHAMPOO!!

I love this product! My hair is extremely dry, curly, frizzy, and unmanageable. No product has worked in controlling my hair, but this product has worked amazing for me. Prior to using this product, I went through gel very fast and conditioner as well. The first time I used this, I wasn't planning on going anywhere, so I combed out my hair and let it air dry. It stayed calm and relaxed, even after sleeping with my hair down, it was calm in the morning. This is the only product that has worked for me, I love it!

I saw online that many people recommended this product for a healthy alternative to most shampoos. Well I must say I am not impressed. I feel that if it was all that great for my hair then it wouldn't leave it feeling like hay. Also it has a potent smell not all that different than comet, and for those of you who may not be familiar with comet it's that powdery stuff many people use to clean their bathtubs. My husband wouldn't come near me all night and this was after I just used a mask made of Coconut oil and Maple syrup that smelled delicious. The L'oreal shampoo and conditioner undid all the good the mask did. You couldn't pay me to use this product on my hair again, but I may be using it to clean my bathtub if the store wont return it!

I've been using this shampoo for the last six months and I love it. I have to start by saying I don't use it every shampoo, but I use it at least 50-60% of the time. This leaves my hair feeling healthy and soft. Sometimes, I don't even bother with conditioner and my hair still feels soft when dry. I find this pretty amazing because I dye my hair regularly. I also haven't had any problems with my hair being oily or limp after using it. I like the herbal smell, but I could definitely see it turning off some people. Overall, I find it a good product that, at least for me, does what it claims.

Once upon a time there was a girl and her hair- who wanted highlights. This girl(me) made a trip to a salon she had never been to before. She gingerly walked in with a smile on her face and walked out with a HUGE frown. Long story short, the stylist fried my hair! My hair was so brittle and no matter what shampoo I used it was more dry than I have ever felt it before. I was in Target and decided to try this shampoo & conditioner combo, because of the big selling point for me-NO SULFATES(which can cause dryness)! Whoo hoo! At first wash and condition my hair felt a little better. I didn't see overnight results but I continued to use it because each time my hair felt better and better. It was like my hair was getting stronger and less dry with every use. Fast forward to two months later and my hair is SOOOOO soft, so shiny, and so silky. It felt like it did before I got my hair fried like chicken. Cons-The smell takes a little getting used to because I am more of a sweet floral/flowery girl and this is more of a fresh/clean scent! Another con- packaging the shampoo is kind of hard to squeeze through the tube, and the tube gets all squished up by the end of it, but regardless of those two things, I give this shampoo & conditioner combo FIVE stars! Also, I would recommend a good cleansing shampoo to use once a week so you don't suffer from build up or too much greasiness. :) Anyways, the girl and her hair lived happily ever after. The end.

I purchased this stuff along with the conditioner. I've been suffering from patchy dandruff, tightness and itching so I've been testing out shampoos to see what helps and what doesn't. I had great luck with my sulfate free face cleanser and based on research, I thought I'd give this stuff a try. While it slightly alleviated my symptoms - I noticed after about two weeks of use I started to break out on my scalp. I got couple of weird, big pimples - something I've never had before. I completely attribute it to this stuff - as after discontinuing use - they've gone away. In addition - the first few times left my hair extra soft and weightless, but by week 3 - my hair looked limp and tangly and well nasty. Since then I've been using a different shampoo/conditioner and my hair and scalp look and feel great. My verdict - complete crap.

I had a coupon for $2 off of any loreal sulfate free shampoo or conditioner, and saw that this was what everyone was buying, so I wanted to give it a try. It was only about $6, so with my coupon, I only paid $4! I love the shampoo! It may be very drying, but it really does help hair loss (a verrryy big problem for me!) The drying does not really bother me. I have medium-thick light brown hair up to my chest and it is always in tangles. When I first purchased this product, I did not want to waste a bit of it. I had gotten the last 30% more one, and when I got into the shower I put about a quarter size into my palm and it surprized me how well it lathered! I didn't expect this from a sulfate free shampoo. However, the lather was creamy. My hair was a little dry after I rinsed it out. I do not use the paired conditioner because I haven't heard great reviews on it. Instead, I paired this with herbal essences long term relationship, and wow my hair looks really good! It is never in tangles, its so hydrating, it has the AMAZING scent from the conditioner, and I recommend pairing these two together! If you like your hair looking good, try it out. you won't regret it! I got incrediblee results.

Worked well for my hair, cleansed without overdrying. Don't care much for the scent but it doesn't linger in my hair so it's not an issue. Preferred this one over the everpure moisture shampoo I was previously using as I felt there was less hair fall with this product (I have issues with hair loss) and slightly less buildup. My hair does tend to get "tired" of a product after a few months of continued use so as it's now been a while I am going to try out the evercreme line, but I would go back to this.

I've been using this with the Eversleek Deep Conditioner. My hair rarely gets tangled, but after using this, it tangles more often and doesn't feel as soft. My hair is usually knot-free and almost slippery (I'm Asian), and this has never happened before with any shampoo.

i really liked this stuff in the beginning. it was a little difficult getting used to the sulfate free feeling - my hair didn't squeak. after i would wash and condition, my hair felt really weightless and lovely. that lasted up until about a week ago. it's been a month since i started using it and my hair has started reacting differently.
it's getting dirtier much quicker, getting WAY more tangled, falling out more when i comb it through in the shower, and feeling dry and gross. i'm thinking maybe i just need more moisture?
i will probably use this up until i'm done and then try something else. i love the idea, but something about it did not work for me.

Im sad because I wanted to find a product to remove my split ends...I felt like the overnight treatment worked pretty well so I bought this:
Pros:
Smell
Texture

Cons:
-Made my Asian hair feel weighed down
-Have to wash my hair more frequently
- Did nothing for my split ends
- My hair actually tangles and my ends looks horrible.
- End result: limp, greasy hair with damaged ends..at least give me body if you are going to do nothing with my ends.

I have been using this product for one month along with my overnight treatment. I think the overnight treatment worked better with my Halo shampoo and conditioner.

After reading all the rave reviews on mua, I was excited to potentially find a well priced non-sulfate shampoo compared to my $20 - 55 non-sulfate Alterna Shampoos. I tried this shampoo 4 times and I am sorry to rain on the parade of high ratings but I canNOT recommend this product.

Pros: nice rich lather, clean rinse-out, hair was soft, not dryer as stated from the reviews below.

Cons:
- my hair/scalp was dirty/oily much sooner than usual
- my hair suffered from static
- last but certainly not least my hair was so FLAT & LIMP! (compared to my Alterna shampoos, even Alterna's "Bamboo Smooth-Anti Frizz" gives my stick straight Korean hair some nice body). My hair was so flat that not even my normal routine for body (blow dry upside down, root lift spray, mousse at crown, set in velcro rollers) would make a difference (1st time a shampoo made me feel so homely)!

I felt so dowdy and homely w/ such flat hair that could not even be coaxed to have body w/ my usual styling (routine above). I'm not thrilled w/ the scent but if the shampoo is great, I can ignore it but w/ these "flat" results, I cannot tolerate this scent: herbal mixed w/ cheap men's cologne.

Oh well, I can't complain anymore about Alterna's shampoo prices ($20 - 55) when they give superior results!

I am 45, have fine (but lots of it) long (5" past shoulders), black, stick straight, silky Korean hair. Slightly oily scalp with dry ends. I also use: Kerastase Bain Miroir 1 & 2 Shampoos, Alterna Bamboo Smooth Anti-Frizz Shampoos, Kerastase masques (MasquIntense, UV Defense), Bumble & Bumble (Super Rich, Quenching Conditioners), Joico (K-Pak deep conditioners), Redken (Extreme Conditioner, All Soft).

I absolutely will NEVER use this product again!! If I could figure out how to return it (besides taking it to the store) I would. Ive tried lots of different shampoos and I would honestly rather use sauve. This shampoo left my hair drier than before I started and I've given it 3 tries. I cant give it anymore because my hair started coming out in fist fulls tonight. For what I paid for this.. I expected better results!!

To start of off, I have thin, flat, dry hair. This shampoo is amazing. After going through so many brands, low and high end, (Redken, Joico, Pantene, etc) this one definitely is my HG shampoo/conditioner and will not be purchasing any other kind. First of all, it is sulfate-free, which is great for lessening the chemicals we put into our hair. On the other hand, its lather is extremely creamy and rich (yes, a little goes a long way) and it definitely feels clean and is cleaning your hair.

My hair has gotten a lot healthier and looks a lot healthier and less frizzy. This product doesn't cause any sort of build up, especially on my thin hair. I use it everyday and have not seen any damage, just better looking and feeling hair. It has definitely given be softer hair. Price is very reasonable. Totally recommend this!

I have so much love for this product. It's my favorite shampoo to date.
Before I started using it, my hair was bushy and frizzy, and it felt dead.
Now that I've been using it for a while, my hair looks and feels so much healthier and less oily. I used to wash it every day, but now I only need to every other day, which is nice. This shampoo also smells absolutely wonderful. I'm a big fan of rosemary. It just smells so fresh and clean, and organic, I love it. Unless I find a better sulfate free shampoo, I will most definitely repurchase constantly. :)))))) (I'm so happy about it, my smiley has six smiles!)

Love this product line! My hair is long and I color it. When I would get my ends trimmed I kept hearing it was dry/damaged. Not any more. I don't mind paying a little more for this product because it works.

I absolutely LOVE this line, especially the reconstruct. I color my hair alot (naturally light brown, but my inner blonde cries out on a regular basis) but this shampoo is great because it helps my base color last longer which let's me add about 1-2 weeks to my normal coloring cycle. Add that in with the sulfate free restorative-ness and my hair feels INCREDIBLE!

I see that some users are reporting that they're seeing oiliness in the hair, but I have to say I've never experienced that with this line. As a matter of fact, I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week and all of the oiliness I experience is from shaking it at Zumba class. :)

It's a little more expensive that drugstore brand shampoos, but only a little. Most of the shampoos on the shelf will run you $3-6 for something decent, so $7 isn't a big deal to me. Plus I save money in the long run because I don't have to wash my hair as frequently or visit my stylist for touchups.

I absolutely regretted buying this product. It felt so nice while I was washing and conditioning. However when I washed it out it felt like it had left sooooo much residue and grime. To say I didn't get that pretty clean feeling is an understatement. I blow dried my hair and it felt like straw and was coming out by the handfuls. I had to wash and re do my hair and that can be very damaging. I had spent the majority of my summer working diligently to get my hair to shining health and a decent length. After this I feel like I'm back to square one in a sense. My hair feels literally terrible, so now I'm on the look out for a product to get my hair back to looking at least normal. Needless to say this product has been returned.

This shampoo rocks! I've used this over the last few months off and on, as I have other products I was trying. But I really love using sulfate-free products on my hair. It makes a world of difference(to me anyway) in how my hair feels, and the condition of my color, as well as texture of my hair. It brings out the shine and smoothness, and it's easier to style. I do have a slight problem with the tube, how it's hard to get it out when the level gets low, but I can deal with it! The formula is so rich and it lathers nicely, and you can tell it's different from other shampoos. At first I didn't like the scent, but now l like it. It actually helped to tone down the 'just colored' smell from using Preference a few days ago:-p The fact that it is a reconstructing shampoo helps, since I've put my hair through some damage with color, and heat styling---so that is definitely a plus:-)
