I'm not sure if this is the right product, but my moisturizer isn't tinted--it has a tiny bit of shine due to the mica particles in it--but this is a lovely moisturizer chock full of great stuff for my aging skin (turing 40 this month)--I have fair/porcelain skin, some freckles, some discoloration/aging spots, and have sensitive skin--I use the pore refining daily exfoliating cleanser with my clarisonic and tone with my Clinique mild toner and use the serum and then this in the morning, and my makeup glides over this--it's so soft, not sticky or oily, and love the SPF 30. I get this at Bed, Bath & Beyond for $17.99, which is nearly 4 bucks cheaper than Walgreens, CVS, or Target.....Beautypedia lists this as a best product, which is why I tried it--and all of the products I mentioned above are listed as best products on Paula's site, which is why I tried them--they work for me! Will def. repurchase!!!!

Pros:
SPF 30 - the perfect amount for daily face protection.
Retinol SA - formula is mild enough not to inflame skin, but helps prevent wrinkles and heal blemishes.
Leaves skin smooth and somewhat more even looking.
Absorbs quickly.
Doesn't irritate skin, even sensitive skin.
Cons:
Doesn't make a great base for makeup as a moisturizer.
Cannot use around eyes - burns and causes swelling.
Doesn't moisturize deeply (left me with dry patches).
Tiny amount for the price.
Supposed to "close" bottle to maintain efficacy of formula, but doesn't close well and no lid.
Overall: This is surprisingly gentle on skin considering its ingredients, but it doesn't moisturize very well and requires either a night cream or eye cream (or both) to be used in conjunction with it. You don't get very much for what you pay and the pump bottle works (closes) poorly. My skin isn't really showing signs of aging yet, so I can't remark on the effects of the retinol except that it seemed to help clear blemishes faster but didn't seem to prevent them from occurring in the first place.

The only things I liked about this product was the high SPF and the pump dispenser. Otherwise, it just another daily moisturizer that didn't live up to its "tone correcting" claims. I've been using this for about 2 months and don't see any change in my skin; at $16 for 1oz of product I expected at least some improvement. I will not be purchasing again.

I've used this product for the month and it has worked nicely as a moisturizer. It doesn't make my oil-prone face greasy and provides a nice bit of suncreen over my BHA acne treatment. There's barely any scent, and it absorbs into my skin nicely.
I found two shortcomings: I don't think it evened out my skin tone as it claims it would, and the pump broke the one time I dropped the product. I would try this again in a pinch, but I might play the field a bit after I finish this bottle.

Bought this by accident (thought it was a moisturizer with SPF). As soon as I put it on, I noticed it was tinted, and put it right back in the box. I thought for sure this would irritate my sensitive skin, but at the end of the day I still had the same sheer coverage as when I applied it. I could do without the fragrance, but I continue to use this almost daily...hope they don't discontinue this!

My skin is too oily for moisturizers and this is no exception. It has mica in it so it gives off sheen which women with dry skin or aging skin might like.

I love this moisturiser! it instantly brightens and gets rid of the redness in my skin. I love that it is SPF 30, sunscreen is the number one antiaging cream! my make up looks so much better over it than any other moisturiser I have tried and it is slowly fading my acne scars (I have been using it for 2 months so I am trying to be patient but it is slowly fading them, just wish it was a bit faster, that's why I gave it a 4).

Initially, I really liked this product because it moisturized my face and it had spf. As the weeks went by, I noticed this product started to break me out, and it also made my face peel with dry flakes. I read the bottle and it said it was normal for this to happen i guess that's the process of the tone correcting by removing the top layer of the skin. I realized this isn't a good daily daytime moisturizer because who would want a face peel every single day for the rest of their lives? I think this would be best for a occasional treatment but not in a daily regimen. I dislike the packaging of this product too because it comes in a pump without a cap, instead it has a twist and lock feature on the pump. It originally was a white lotion, but without a cap, the air would seep into the pump and oxidize with the formula turning it yellow. I was disgusted seeing the color changes and threw it away in the trash immediately. I switched to neutrogena's visibly even daily moisturizer spf 30 and I am currently loving that product and it has a sleek package in a smooth compact tube with a cap!

There are actually 2 different kinds of this product, one comes out white and applies sheer while the other is a tan & gives you a tint of color...now I love the tinted one but it seems to clog my pores a bit kinda like foundation but the sheer non-tinted version is awesome! I seriously dont wear any type of foundation makeup anymore because it has evened out my skin tone completely! However I don't know if my redness would come back if I stopped using it?

I have been using it every morning for 2 weeks.
So far no tone correcting
The worst is, my eyesight became blurry just a few days ago.
I read the bottle "keep away from eyes".....
yet I need the sunscreen protection as I live in FL
(even with sunglasses)

I just finished my first bottle of this. There are a few things I like about it, the higher SPF, it comes in a pump, it didn't break me out, and it leaves a matte finish on my face.
However, using the whole bottle, it didn't diminish any of my age spots at all. This was the only reason I purchased it because I tend to use less expensive day creams and save my $$ for my night creams and serums. I have since switched to the antioxidant formula from Neutrogena which has a comparable SPF 20 and was $10 cheaper at my local commisary.

I went through two bottles of this. It didn't break me out, it moisturizes my combo skin well, provided sunscreen protection by ultimately I stopped using it because for me this did not reduce discolorations nor did it fight my fine lines. The reason why this product is so expensive is because of the Retinol and discoloration claims. However after trying to replace my HG moisturizer that was reformulated, this is the only one so far that has good SPF without breaking me out. I just felt this was not a good value because it didn't work to the claims it promises. Also the bottle is glass and the dispenser inside doesn't reach all the way to the bottom. When you're towards the end you have to open the bottle which compromises the hygienic nature of the bottle and the efficacy of the Retinol!
Ugh I'm frustrated with this product because it can be so much better. I give this an overall of 3.5/5 total.

I thought this product would be more of a keeper for me than it turned out to be. I used it up but I'm not going to get it again. The "tone correcting" effects are not noticed after finishing the whole bottle, and I see more results with Neutrogena's Visibly Even (on my little patch of melasma)- which has the same SPF 30- and that is less expensive and you get a lot more product for your money. This formula is also murder if you happen to get any of it in your eyes, it stings like crazy. I also thought that it made my face a little too oily too quickly. As another reviewer mentioned, the pump mechanism leaves product stuck in the outside part of the tube near the top of the dispenser, and it gets dried out and yellow; also when the bottle only has maybe 1/6 left the pump does not quite reach the bottom of the bottle and you have to take the pump off to use it up. There are better products out there so this is a not a repurchase for me. Neutrogena Visibly Even is bettter, but it isn't that easy to find these days. However, I did recently find it at Target.

Bought this because it was loaded with goodies, including SPF 30. I wished it didn't come tinted, but luckily, the color is very sheer and blends in pretty well. I find that this provides an adequate amount of daytime moisture and absorbs cleanly and quickly. It wasn't revelatory, but over time, I must say that it did even out my skintone and also faded some of my old acne scars. Recently, I ran out of foundation (gasp!) and in a pinch, have had to leave the house with only this moisturizer and a bit of concealer on. I've been pleasantly surprised to see that I really didn't need much more.
Overall, it evens out skin tone (eventually), is easy to dispense, absorbs quickly, doesn't break me out, and has lasted several months with daily use. It's a bit pricey, but I think it's worth sticking with so far.

I bought this to use as a sunscreen, but foune I couldn't use it arouend my eyes, because of the chemical ss or maybe other ingredients. It's not too thick, but you get very little for the price. So, no rebuy.

I'm disappointed with this product. I have been using it for about one month and the bottle is pretty much empty. I don't feel like I used too much but used enough to get the SPF benefits. I think it ran out too quickly. I also do not notice any changes to my skintone and I find that it is not moisturizing enought for my skin.

My skin absorbs this moisturizer very fast, I like it has enough SPF as recommended by professionals.
I don't like the smell, I feel I have to use another moisturizer below this one, I have not seen or felt any of the "benefits" indicated and I think it is overpriced, very expensive for a DS brand. This product is, at much, average.
The SPF is chemical based. It has Oxybenzone which lately I have read there are many concerns about it.
I guess I will not be buying again.

This is my HG of moisturizers. I have olive colored skin which tends to look muddy, and this brightens me up and makes my skin look as close to flawless as it ever has. I love the fact that it is SPF 30--something that is hard to find without having to use "suntan lotion!" Now for the cons. They don't put very much of the product in that little glass pump bottle. I think they use glass to make you think there's more in there since it makes it weigh more (hmmm Neutrogena!). So because it runs out so quickly, it is actually more expensive than the department store brands, even though it's "supposed" to be a drug store brand. That said, I am addicted to this stuff, so I just keep buying it.

I felt compelled to right this review because I have really been surprised at the results so far. I am olive complected and tend to have extremely sensitive skin. I had acne in the past and have so residual scarring that I cover up with make up. I decided to try this moisturizer as well as the targeted treatement to try and fade the scars because Neutrogena has been one of those products that has not made my skin react badly - and my dermatologist has always recommended it. Let me just say the first two days using the moisturizer, my skin looked awful - The "sheer" moisturizer color did not go with my skin well, it looked red and irritated and made my skin very tight. I was ready to give up and stop using it, but I noticed every morning after I used the targeted treatement at night, my skin looked really clear and fresh. I decided to stick with it, and am I glad i did! The third day using the moisturizer, my skin calmed down - the color sits well on my skin now and my skin is glowing! Its only been 5 days so far, but I am hoping these results keep getting better! I also am happy that the moisturizer has spf 30 in it so I can protect my skin from sun damage. I recommend this product and will update in a couple weeks to let you know what the results are!

I decided it was time to review this since I'm about to buy my fourth bottle. This is worth every penny. It does what it says it will, has great ingredients and offers great sun protection. My makeup looks better over it. I will warn it has a slight sun screen smell/feel at first, but this goes away quickly. I usually stray from a product just because I like to try what's new, but this one is a keeper.
