I tend to have dry/dehyrated/sensitive skin. I've used the Aveeno daylight scrub as a previous exfoliator, and as gentle as it is, it still is too harsh on my skin. This Jurlique exfoliator is my first attempt at a chemical exfoliator. I have to say it has been much easier on my skin, with my skin looking much better afterwards. I would say it still creates a bit of redness, but it leaves my skin looking much smoother, with smaller poors, and looking less dull. But if I moisturize, in an hour, by the time I get to work, my skin is glowing. Even the girls at work are complimenting me/jealous about my skin now lol
The downside is that it is expensive. I would like to try the Juice Beauty Peel if I can find it in Australia, so I have a comparison of chemical exfoliators.

I love this exfoliator. I have somewhat sensitive skin that I don't like to burden with chemicals (can cause random eczema outbreaks for me). My skin also tends to be dry so I can't use scrubs. I put this on and my skin tingles & feels cool. I let it dry for 5-10 mins & wash it off with warm water & a microfiber cloth. It leaves my skin smooth & glowing albeit dry/tight feeling. You need to moisturise afterwards or use the herbal recovery gel. I use this only once a week max.
This product was everything it said it was for me & I will definitely repurchase. Watch the expiry date on these particularly if purchasing online. It can take a while to use a large bottle & it's not as effective if it's old.

I got this as a free sample. I've been experiencing whiteheads and breakouts in my T-zone. My skin is dry to normal and sensitive; this winter, it seems extra dry. I tried it three times and it seems to work well. It is not very strong but be sure to apply a moisturizer after using if you are in a low humidity environment.

I got a sample of this and used only couple of times.. but I did not see any changes. You are supposed to apply on clean skin, leave on for 5 minutes and rinse off. Its yellow see through color and thingles a little (tastes sour). However, when I wash it off, there is no any difference at all. I heard its really expensive, so I am not going to purchase this.

This product looks nice, smells odd, and doesn't seem to DO much. It wasn't BAD, but I am not sure what kind of results I was supposed to expect. I didn't really notice any ... WOW~.. just "hmm".

This exfoliator is so mild that I didn't see any noticeable difference with my skin. I'm not a fan of harsh exfoliators so I was interested in trying this, but it is really too mild. I highly recommend Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant instead. As mentioned previously, probably only for people with very sensitive skin (but even the Dermalogica is not harsh at all). Quite pricey as well!

First of all, I think the smell is awful.
I don't see any noticeable results, but my skin feels great. I don't know why, but I like the product anyway, and I think I would buy it again.

I read rave reviews about this product so was really excited to use it.
The packaging is lovely, it smells nice and is very light but it hasn't done anything to my skin.
I have been using it 3 times a week and was told by the sales lady to leave it on for 10 minutes instead of the 5 stipulated on the bottle. I haven't experience any stinging or tingling with that amount of time but I also haven't experienced the wonderful things that were meant to happen to my skin.
I am currently using an AHA based cleanser and it works better.
Perhaps it would be better suited to more sensitive skin or to someone who has never used an exfoliator before.

I sampled this today.I don't believe that this product is all that wonderful. The texture is lovely and my skin felt good but nothing amazing.

This didn't do anything for my skin. If you have sensitive skin, this might be the exfoliator for you. I left it on for the recommended 5 minutes and then washed it off, but I couldn't really see or feel any difference in my skin. I've also kept it on longer than 5 minutes but still, nothing.
For reference I have combo skin that isn't particularly sensitive. Chemical exfoliators and scrubs that I like include: DDF 10% glycolic toner, ExfoliKate, Fresh black tea mask, Aveeno skin brightening scrub.

I have only recently started using natural products, after finally realising that the ingredients in most synthetic products include things used in car paint strippers etc! I came across the Jurlique store at a shopping centre and went in to buy the rosewater mist that I had heard so much about. The sales assistant recommended this product to me, and as I am a sucker for exfoliating products (i have acne scars and uneven skintone) I bought it for a very pricey $50.
I have to say that I was disappointed. The sales assistant assured me that it was a potent formulation and that it would reveal 'brightened skin' however all it did was dry out my face. I didnt see any difference in skintone or texture (and i used most of the bottle before passing judgement): I just found that I had to use more moisturiser afterwards. For the price, I really don't think it is worth it. I just bought a sample of Ren's Glycolatic Skin Renewal Peel after seeing great reviews on MUA, so hopefully this will have better results!

I would only recommend this product for those that have either: skin that can't tolerate manual scrubs, have not used acid based products before, only need very light exfoliation or those that are allergic to the arsenal of things in mainstream skincare. This is too light otherwise to do anything. Cheap drugstore AHA cream does more than this. The level of exfoliation is very light and only superficial so if you are used to a manual scrub with results, this wont cut it. Juice Beauty green apple peel is a mile ahead of this and I recommend that over this. This did nothing for me and there is no room for it in my regime. It does however contain some nice ingredients and I can tell the quality of this is high as it is a very refined product. Natual based things always feel better than synthetic, but since its only on the skin for 5 min, I can over look this and stick with my usual scrub.

This is probably the most expensive exfoliant I’ve ever tried for my face, so I was quite intimidated and first, not knowing how it applied. Its in a gorgeous, frosted glass bottle with a pump, and isn’t your usual exfoliant where you feel the grains and you’re scrubbing it into your skin.
It is a light gel consistency and the fruity, limey scent is *gorgeous* and fresh, not chemically at all. You apply it over a clean face, just applying a clean film and leave it for 5 minutes. The first time I used it, wow! It was magical and tingly – a little on the stinging side but I think it was because its the first Aha treatment I’ve ever done! I felt like touching my face, whilst I felt the effect working but on 2nd and 3rd applications its much better, and can I just say? WOW, my skin, and the smoothness level has never been this good. Who knows what long term effect this will have, but I am completely sold and I am already envisaging within a couple of weeks, my skin will be as clear, and smooth as an airbrushed model! :P

I love most Jurlique products and was really looking forward to trying the sample. Upon application, it started to sting right away which was really unusual for me as I do not have sensitive skin. While I was impressed by the ingredients which was native to Australia, I am hesitant to try it again due to my unpleasant first experience with this new product.

I got a sample of the Fruit Enzyme Exfoliator from a Jurlique counter for free. I tried it in the morning after cleansing and toning, and put a thin layer of the serum over my face and neck as instructed, and left it for just under 5 minutes. I then rinsed it off with cool water.
I quite like that it's a serum based exfoliator (no beads or scrubbing) and my skin doesn't go red or irritated after using it. I find it smells a little citrusy (it contains Aussie Quandong, Desert Lime and Acacia). It's not recommended for sensitive skin as it is quite active (it tingled a little at first on me and I have a dry to combination skin).
I love how my skin feels refreshed, tighter and a more even tone after using this, and I haven't experienced as many breakouts on my chin since using this last week.
Will definitely purchase a full size - and it should last a while as you only need a thin film for it to do it's work!
NOTE: the lady who gave me the sample said to make sure to use sunscreen after using this, as the newly exfoliated skin is like brand new, and prone to sunburn.
