My first MAC quad and by far the best I've ever gotten. It is THE perfect neutral quad across various skin tones, and on my golden tan skin it's subtle, but beautiful. All colors have perfect pigmentation--no patchiness whatsoever, and blend beautifully with other colors. Creole Beauty (golden brown w/ gold shimmer) and Flip (medium yellow-gold) are HG daily staples for me, and I would buy another of this quad just for those two colors as they're not easily duped by other colors in MAC's perm range . Aztec Brick is a pretty reddish-copper, but is similar enough to Amber Lights to not need both. Manila Paper (white gold) is much too porn-star-white on my brows. It might be more subtle on paler types, but I ended up swapping mine away. This would definitely be a 5-lippy worthy quad if not for Manila Paper, and also if MAC would just make the colors in quads able to be popped out to not only make depotting easier but also to be able to save the quad itself.

First MAC quad I bought and I love it. The colors work well for everyday wear and going out at night. They blend well together, too. I love coppers and browns on my eyes and when I saw this I knew I had to have it.

I really love this quad. I know several people thought it looked like dupes of amber lights, coppering... and a couple others I can't remember offhand. Honestly, I think they're pretty close, which is actually why I bought this quad.
I keep an "emergency makeup kit" in my purse. Just never know when it'll come in handy. This is the perfect size, the perfect shades and they'll last me forever since I so rarely use them; they're my "on the go" colors, great for touch ups or trips.
They're nicely pigmented, as are most MAC shadows, and they're a selection of neutrals that can be used for a day-to-day demure, no-nonsense look or they can be spiced up a bit for a smokey brown look. I'm super pleased and I'd definitely purchase again if I had the opportunity.

I really like this quad. I bought this as a present for myself and I'm so glad I did. Even though my skintone is quite fair, I can wear all the colours in this quad, even the coppery colour, Aztec Brick. This palette is very versatile and can be used day and night. I especially like to wear Manilla Paper as a highlight, Flip on the lid and Creole Beauty in the crease. The texture of these eyeshadows is amazing, they're very smooth and easy to apply. I also like wearing Aztec Brick with India Song by Nars (from the Modern Love palette) or with ME Red 160 by Shu Uemura (which is similar to Cranberry by MAC).
Edit: ended up selling this palette. It's lovely, but I didn't reach for it very often.

I passed on this quad the first time thinking that it wasn't unique or I didn't want to spend the money on an ordinary quad. However -- I finally decided to get it and recently tracked it down on Dillard's website. It's true that they may not be totally unique colors but they are all excellent finishes of each quality and the price ends up being $9 a shade -- so price wise, it's cheaper than buying all similar colors separately. Manilla paper is the most perfect white gold! So smooth and highlights the brow and inner corners beautifully. Flip is a great gold that ties all the colors together and I like that the brown color isn't the typical dark liner color MAC usually puts for the 4th color. I like it because it adds depth without going too deep -- perfect for every day! As for Azelea Brick -- it's my least favorite but it works and is also super pigmented, smooth, and blendable. I hate the new packaging -- it's so hard to open. Overall, I love this quad and prefer it over my Notoriety Quad or any other bronzey gold quad out there. Would definately repurchase.

Love this quad - I knew as soon as I saw it I would love it because it was the type of colours I always go for.
Ive found so many different combinations you can do with it and most of the colours are easy to use.

I LOVE this. I love bronzes and threw away my trusty L'oreal quad (respectable but dead to me now) once I got this.
I first discovered it when I saw an SA wearing it and had to know what it was!
I waited it out and thought about it for a while and then went for it.
The copper color is the nicest I have found so far.
We all have a million highlighting colors so thats not so exciting. The subtle gold is nice and so is the dark brown. The finish is very nice.
Really for me the star of this is the copper color, and the other colors are just there to help make that color even nicer.
This is my first ever MAC LE quad and I am totally loving it.

I have been on the fence about this quad ever since I got it. I still cannot decide if I want to keep it or swap it away. I love neutrals, I'm actually obsessed with them to be quite honest. The colors to me are all dupeable. I really do like this quad minus the aztec brick color, I cannot get this to look good on me at all, it's just too orange and coppery. I have so many other colors similar to the other 3, that it's just not too exciting for me. I also hate the fact that depotting is almost impossible with the new quads. A serious bummer. I obviously like 3 out of 4 of the colors but would not repurchase.
Update: I swapped my first 1 of these away and missed it so purchased another. I also figured out how to depot them. So obviously yes, I would repurchase

Love this quad. It's from MAC's Spring Colour Forecast Collection - Colour 4. The shades are Manila (a white-gold), Flip (pale gold), Aztec Brick ( a golden copper), Creole Beauty (brownish bronze). This palette is so versatile. It can be used for work, a beachy bronze look, a warm evening look, a sultry look, the colour combinations are endless. The pigment payoff is excellent, and the colours blend easily together. This palette works well with the MAC 239 brush. Oh, and you can find a colour in this palette that will complement any skintone.

First of all I really prefer the new packaging! I was waiting for this quad for so long and well I'm a bit disappointed....I wish the darker color would have been darker, I have to use an eyeshadow like embark to darken it a bit. The gold doesn't have a great texture but the other colours do. I can still manage to do something nice with it but this quad isn't exceptionnal at all.

I just bought this as a treat to myself and I am quite happy with it. I'm a sucker for gold eyeshadow, mostly becuase I think they make my blue eyes pop. The colors are really smooth and shimmery. They compliment each other so well. I would have liked to have a matte color instead of the creole color, only because I think that brassy shade is hard to work with and theres already a lot of shimmer in this. It's a good price for 4 shadows. The new packaging is nice, but I don't thing de-potting is an option with this one. Overall, I think this is pretty and a great set to use.
Update: Took off a lippie because I almost never find myself reaching for this palette. It can look pretty, but a few times t has just been a shimmery mess.

Great neutral quad! Colors are richly pigmented and blend extremely well. The only thing that would have made this quad a perfect 5 for me would have been the addition of a more matte darker shade than the creole beauty. It's stunning, but not quite "enough" as other reviewers are mentioning. I believe all four are vellux pearle...and that's a lot of shimmer, I for one would have really enjoyed it more with one more matte shade. All that said, I do love it though!

I was going to pass on this, since I can find a dupe/almost similar shade for every color in this quad, but I gave in when I saw how pigmented and creamy these are. WOW! I can also do so many different looks with this one palette and I'm a sucker for neutrals. I think these shades will work for every skin tone. I am very fair and even now they look great. I am excited to see when I get color in the summer. I am very pleased with this and highly recommend it!

Very nice quad, comes in the new packaging that i actually like better. This new packaging looks much more sophisticated, the old one looked cheap. The colors are really gorgeous, especially if your a neutral person...they go very well for an everyday use, however the darkest color is just not so dark. I wish they could have added a darker color, but overall its a very neutral quad thats really nice. If you like neutrals, this is a must, if not, than you probably wont want it.

This is the golden quad from the Mac Spring Forecast collection 2010. While this quad is not the most unique, it is stunning. The colors are shimmery and beautiful. They air on the warm side. Manilla paper (VP) is a shimmery white, Flip (F) is a light gold color (repromote from Blonde, Brunette, Redhead), Aztec Brick (VP) is a frosty coppery color (a cross between Amber Lights and Coppering), Creole Beauty (VP) is a bronzey frosty color, similar to bronze eyeshadow. All of the colors are very frosty/shimmery, so if you are not a frost fan you might not like this quad. It's very wearable. However, I do wish that the darkest color was darker to add more depth to the look. I added Embark to deepen the look and it was realy pretty. I do not think that this quad is like the Notoriety quad from the fall. I own both. Notoriety has much more of a satin finish and the colors are not as warm. I think that owning both can be justified.
