I absolutely love this product, for my oily skin it has been great! I was pretty reluctant to try because of my inherited very oily skin, I was afraid it would clog my pores! The first morning I woke up and looked in the mirror i was actually surprised to see my face wasn't as red as it usually is when I wake up! With time I definitely noticed an improvement on pore size and redness! I even started to dear to wear liquid foundation! I have only ever used powdered because of my oily skin! Now I am having trouble finding this product at the drug store and tried another product, Clean and Clear dual action Moisturizer salicylic acid acne medication, What A Difference! I've never had closed comodones but since I started using this product I've had three pop up...I will definitely go back to good ol' Clearasil!

I have been using Clearasil SA 2% moisturizer, then overnight serum, then Overnight Lotion for 5-10 years (I lost track). Though the packaging and names changed, these have been working for me just the same. I use Clearasil SA serum/lotion two nights a week because I need to use antiaging other nights. I use vitamin C serum (skip this if you're young), wait 10 min. Apply clearasil SA serum/moisturizer all over my face, wait for 10 min, then add a heavier moisturizer to my cheeks for antiaging as well as prevent dryness (skip this if you're young with very oily skin). This does make my t-zone looking oily but my skin feels cleaner after washing. This does not stop deep hormonal cysts, nor does it fix blackheads. And it definitely does not fix deep cycstic acnes overnight. But my pores just feel clearer through long term use. If I stop using clearasil BHA for a few weeks, my pores especially on the nose and chin are more conjested.

I've tried so many BHA products but not all are made the same. I do use neutrogena BHA cleansers, but their BHA treatment/moisturizer are too harsh for my mature skin. I also tried department store brands but they're too gentle and not effective. Clearasil SA lotion never irritates my skin in their dry nor oily condition and it works. If you find other SA products too harsh, try Clearasil lotion and see if this would work.

I've been using this for a couple weeks now and my face is usually always red but it is less red waking up in the morning these days. It reduces my pimple size too and I believe it is preventing more breakouts. I just wish it didn't have so many parabens and silicones!

I bought this on a whim, and I'm so glad I did! I put this on every night and my skin hasn't looked better in years. Less pimples, less congestion, and the redness of the pimples I do get goes away really quickly. Also seems to make a pretty decent makeup base, go figure.

There are not many drugstore face lotions available that contain 2% salicylic acid, most contain 0.5%. I was previously using Philosophy hope in a bottle (2% salicylic acid) but it got discontinued. I've been on the hunt for a replacement since. This Clearasil is pretty good. It has a light fragrance. You might not want to apply it too thick or else you will end up oily. After I wash my face, I apply the lotion while my face is still slightly damp. This helps against the oiliness. The only comparable alternative would be a higher end lotion. So for now, I will repurchase!

Love this, it reminds me of Neautrogena Clear pore gel that they use to have that you kept on your face all night, but this isn't clear. I wake up and see improvement every day!!! Very light, nice smell, doesn't break me out, prevents and treats breakouts.

I like the idea of this, but unfortunately my face is super greasy and when i wake up in the morning its like an oil slick so I would recommend just using it on areas of your face other than the T zone if you have oily skin.

This came in SUCH a small bottle, I didn't know if it would last even 2 days. I usually put on acne medication every night. (Yes, all over my face)

Surprisingly, over a month later, it's still here, and going strong. I find that it works better than my other acne treatments (Except my Clean and Clear spot treatment).

It just works! My skin gets clearer gradually, instead of very quickly. This little gem has saved me so much acne trouble, and concealer cost.

I really like this product and from when I go to bed to when I wake up in the morning with applying the cream, it does make a visable difference. If you have very oily skin, I suggest you don't use it but if you have very dry to moderately oily skin it is a great product to use! Not the cheapest I must admit, but you don't need to use much or even use it every night, so it isn't a regular purchase, but still a makeup bag essential for spot prone skin.

I used Neutrogena RapidClear gel (2%) on my nose cheeks and chin every day, but it was really expensive for a tiny bottle. ($7 for.5 oz). I saw this was $8 or 1.03oz so I picked it up. I wash my face in the AM and PM and put this all over my face,avoiding the eyes, and also on my neck and upper chest. I think laundry detergent breaks me out :(.

After using it for 1 day, I woke up with no bumps ANYwhere, and I was really excited because I can usually feel at least a few bumps along my face or jawline even if they aren't spots. It is really hard to find SA treatments in my town, most of them are BP which can be really drying. I like the exfoliating properties of SA.

I thought 2% might be a bit too powerful, but it has been just right. It doesn't overdry my face, and it absorbs pretty well and doesn't leave me too shiny like I feared. I have been using it about a week every day as a preventive measure and I am really happy with it. I still need BP for the nose and cheek area every other day, but this has replaced my Neutrogena spot treatment. NOTE: I don't use foundation over this, just wear it bare.


UPDATE 5/10/11: It isn't working as great in a humid (Dallas) climate. I may need to use less or combine it with a sunblock or something to reduce the shine.

If you are of an oily skin type like me, then this is not the product for you. I'm sceptical about most moisturisers and how they'll work with my oily pores and this just sat in the crevices of my face and made me feel as though I hadn't just washed my face but instead my face was coated in grease.
Although, it should be noted that it did not cause me to break out, neither did it clear up any spots so on me it had no effect. I predict that those with combination or dry skin will find this product to do what it claims and for a very reasonable price, but for me - it sits on my dresser gathering dust.

Overall this won't make or break your skincare routine, but is a nice addition. I prefer the serum to the lotion. Products with benzoyl peroxide work quicker, but this is nice if you want it to be a bit gentler. The serum and the lotion are similar in conisistency so it is sort of redundant to have both of them.

So i was so excited to try this product cause i break out alot.When i used it i hated it! Its good for dry skin but doesn't help reduce redness or pimple size.This made me break out even worse then what i was! I would not repurchase this product again.

I use this lotion in the morning and at night before bed. I love this lotion because its light, and not too moisturizing because I have oily skin, so this is the perfect balance for my skin type. I dont know if this would be moisturizing enough for people with dry skin, unless they keep applying the it over and over again. However, I feel that this did help with my occasional whiteheads. I will definitely be repurchasing this lotion.

Although the packaging is nice, I dont really like this product.... Maybe its only me, but it doesnt work for me. It doesnt really show any difference in my acne day to day. I barely use it anymore because it has never done anything. So i wouldnt buy this again

This product is brilliant. For years I have had problems with acne. I have tried tablets, gels and creams from the doctor but nothing has worked as well as this cream. AS long as you make sure you cleanse your face beforehand (with what ever product suits not necessarily a clearasil ultra one) your spots will have skrunk overnight.

After cleansing I also use the deep pore cleansing pads first on the oily areas and then apply the cream.

Even though it dries out your spots it doesn't dry out the rest of your skin surrounding the spots.

I'm so happy I came across the ultra range! Its marketed at teenagers but they really should advertise to others.

Red some great reviews and bought it. Now its standing and waiting for me to return it. It did nothing good. Made me break out, I think. My face felt greasy the next morning and after 2 days it was too dry. Will not buy again.

this product is quite expensive for a small tube, but the product works well. my skin dries up i the cold weather and this is the perfect solution! i put it on after washing my face at night. it goes on nicely, and doesn't just sit on top of my face. when i wake up, my face is nice and smooth. i only use it once a day (at night) because it works really well (doesn't dry up my skin or make it too oily). after using this, my skin is starting to clear up :)
i will definately repurchase once it runs out!

I have had severe cystic acne for the past 2 years and the amount of cysts increased in the begining of august through september. I had so many acne bumps (the kind you cant pop) that would grow around one area of my skin (mostly the tops of my cheeks) i used dans treatment and it helped bring them to a head in time, but it dried out my skin pretty bad :( and i noticed deep scars where left even tho i rarely picked at those zits! I looked up how bp can actually cos skin cancer if used so much and it also creates scars. So i started look for an alternative lotion for night time.
I bought clearasil ultra after seeing it first in the october seventeen magazine and then seeing it again on a youtube video (random one i cant remember). So i finally decided to buy this. One bad thing is the packaging is so small and I'm already needing to buy another! I started using this product october 4th and its the 16th and my skin is SO much better now. Its still a bit dry and stiff but not flaking off everywhere like before. I used to wake up with new cystic acne in the morning even with dans treatment but with this I never have a new cysitc zit. And for any zits I have, they come to a head and heal very quickly. I can honestly say that this stuff has worked for me and i'm going to stock up!
