I really liked the coverage of this. It made my skin look flawless. It's just the fact that it felt heavy on my skin and it wore off pretty easily.

PROS:
-"airbrushed" look
- good coverage of your face
- felt soft on my sensitive areas of my face
-didn't have to use concealer with this

CONS:
- can make oily skin, oilier
- came off too easily
- the brush that comes with, is really bad
- feels heavy on my face
- made me break out a little bit
- you can end up using a lot to cover a little

I really liked the coverage of it. It was one of the first powder foundations that has blended really well with my skin. It's just not for people who have combo, acne-prone, or oily skin.

I love this product!! The foundation gives me good coverage without looking cakey. I wasn't a fan of the highlighter, but after reading some of the other reviews, I'm going to try mixing it with the foundation powder. I have no complaints about the brush--for me it helped me to apply the product well and evenly. The price turned me off at first, but this product has lasted so long! I purchased this product last April, and I still have tons left. Well worth it!!

I dont understand why a more expensive drugstore brand cant ever get their brushes right. They really should just give up instead of repeatedly annoying us with brushes that hurt, fall apart, turn our face blue, and disappoint us over and over. That being said, the powder is decent. I bought it on clearence for 3 bucks so im not going to complain but it def isnt worth the 14bucks it wasnt originally

The moment I applied this into my face I was horrified to see shimmers! It was really bad because it emphasized every pore, every line, every dry spot and imperfection I had! It gave me coverage, yeah, but the textures of my face were so obvious that it was like a one step forward two steps back kindda product. I'll try to work on his product a bit more and see if I can use it as a highlighter instead because it def. Failed me as a fdtn.

so i deffinitley love this product, everyone complains about the packaging but i didnt really have a problem i mean it just keeps everything concealed. so for me i have the lightest shade and i mix the powders i dont wear them separately. its not glittery and overwhelming it gives almost a dewy look and it stays on very well. it also has really good coverage, if i have a break out or problem areas i just go over it a little more. if your looking for something light, easy, and has good coverage i would recomend this product:]

I think it really depends on how you want to use this product. I have pretty good skin; fair, rarely have pimples, but blushes easily. I purchase loose mineral foundations to put over my daily lotion and that's all I would use on my face. This is definitely not something that should be applied all over your face if you're using it alone. It's best described as giving you that look you have after working over the counter at mcdonald's for 7 hours, except this is instant! It literally highlighted my whole face, and not in a good way! They mean it when they wrote "illuminating.." I look shiny and oily and this is not something you should purchase if you're just looking to even out your skin tone and hide uneven patches or even pimples. The design is by far the worst I've ever seen. You would lift up these cheap plastic flaps to get to the product and it's impossible not to make a mess. I guess this could be used as a highlighter but really it deserves to be thrown out.

I got this at a time I began experiencing facial redness. I think I expected too much given I had long used and loved Bare Minerals till that began irritating my skin. I should add I believe that was due to a medical condition that also caused the redness, so whatever makeup and skin care I could tolerate, I suddenly could not. I could not get even mild coverage with this. It was okay as a dusting to set other makeup but on me I just never loved it nor the filnish and already have other setting powders. If you are using this to try and cover redness its not your best bet, if you have basically clear skin and need to set makeup or powder your shine a bit, this is fine. The good thing is if it works for you there's a ton of product.

Loved this powder duo! As a foundation it didn't cover my imperfections, but I found another use for it. If I let my bb cream dry before I apply it, using my Eco Tools mini kabuki (which fits perfectly in the space the brush that came with powder was-I threw it out because it was just too scratchy and did not disperse powder well at all), it doesn't cake or settle into pores and lines at all. I can get additional coverage if I don't want to take the time to dot concealer and blend over the bb by using the 2nd powder. Then I use the 1st powder to highlight my brow bone, temples, jawline, bridge of nose, and around my mouth. It gives my face a lovely glitter-free glow. I can also use the first powder mixed with the second to blur a serious imperfection, like a full-blown red pimple. This powder had never contributed to a break out (I've been using it for a little over 3 months) and you only need a little if you're buffing it over concealer or foundation for a better finish so I have more than half the product left. The glow is not tacky or glittery to me, just a faint shimmer the particles of which you can't see. Only complaints- it smells a tad weird and transfers a little after some time. The smell is gone after it's applied so no big deal, and I keep it from transferring by blotting very gently at least once throughout the day. Any oilyness is gone then and it stops moving about. Without oilyness the powder does very well on its own. I recently found my Clinique BB makes a good primer to keep oil at bay and the powder in place.

I discovered this product through my friend. I had to go to work after school and had left all my makeup at home, so she lent me this powder to use. By the time I was done work I was amazed at the coverage I still had! I bought it for myself and tested it out for a whole day. I applied the duo powders at about 6:30am and now it's almost 8:30pm and the coverage is still flawless!

Based on the claims on the box such as "foundation coverage" and "Blend (shades) 1 and 2 and brush powder over face and neck to even out complexion," it sounded like a foundation-type powder you could put all over your face. What they don't tell you is this is a glittery highlighter, definitely not what you want to wear on your entire face! I was so disappointed, it made me look so sparkly, which made me look pretty greasy in the sun. If you're looking for a highlighter this might do the trick, but definitely steer clear of this product if you're looking for a mineral powder or foundation.

oh man. i am so in love with this stuff. i just barely bought it today, and so far, i have no complaints (besides the packaging. it sucks) it feels so nice on my face, and doesn't feel heavy or layered. it goes on smoothly and the duel colors is really nice. i find that it provides enough coverage for me. not too much, and not too little. also, it makes my face look a little bit dewy (not too much) which i love and haven't been able to find in another product!

I've never had much luck with mineral foundations, they always seem to emphasize my dry skin. A friend of mine had some physicans formula foundation at her house and let me try it out. I really liked the smoothness of it, so I bought some of my own. This particular kind was on sale for 75% off, so I couldn't beat the price.

Ok, so I hate the packaging. It's pretty hard to get just one of the powders out. The brush it came with is awful, its so rough and scratchy, I tried it out and threw it away. Also, the powder has kind of a weird smell.

As far as the product itself, I really like it. I don't love it though. It gives very little coverage, so I'll definitely need to use concealer if I'm only gonna wear that. I do really like the way it looks on my skin, when the two shades are used together it gives me a really nice subtle glow. Shade 1 by itself makes an amazing highlighter, noticeable but not unnatural looking. I'll have to wear it for a while before I can tell what it does to my skin. But for 75% off, I'm pretty happy with what I got.

Ok, I've tried to get the mineral wear products to work for me, but I want to warn those who have sensitive acne prone skin, this might not be the product for you.
I had run out of my regular power and decided to apply this over cover up and see what happened. It didn't look bad, the sheen was a little much. My face broke out horribly...it seemed to 'illuminate' my break outs as well. I probably should have just used this as an 'illuminator' or added sheen on top of powder, but overall its one of the very few products I would return.

I was using Merle Norman's mineral makeup, which illuminates as well. I loved it, but of course it was in the $20-30 range. As I just purchased my first house and have PLENTY to buy already, I figured I might as well give this a try to see if I can save a little money. First off, it looks really cute. I think most of PF's products look really cute. I bought the ligher shades, I think creamy light and natural or something like that. I got home and immediately tested it out.

Right away, I realized that the cute packaging was awkward when actually using the product. What I decided to do was open the covers for both of the shades of powders, and pour a little bit (equal amounts of each) into the dome shaped cap. Then I used my own mineral makeup brush to apply. The product was great! My face looks and feels great when using it. It lasts pretty well during the day, and touch-ups go on nicely, not cakey or anything. I noticed the slight illumination... not enough to make me look shimmery or anything, but enough to give me a little bit of a glow. I have combination skin and it's easy for my skin to look dull, so this is very important to me. The product buffed into my skin very easily and seemed to be a perfect match. I didn't notice a big difference between the two shades that came with mine, so honestly, either alone would probably work. I wonder if they have this or will later make this with single shades?

And back to the packaging.. it's very cute, but can be a little tricky. I might actually pour all of the product into my old Merle Norman sifter, which I still have. I think the sifters are a bit easier to use, as you can just tap a bit into the cap and pour the excess back. With PF's product, I pretty much had to use all of the product I poured into the cap, as it would be difficult to pour it back into the appropriate side of the container, especially since the colors mix. Since either color worked for me and I wasn't using only one, this was no big deal for me... but I can imagine it would be annoying for some. Luckily I also poured just the right amount into the cap. Now I know about how much I need each time so I don't get too much. I actually didn't use the little brush it came with. After reading the reviews and how others thought it was useless, I just went ahead and used my own anyway. I preferred one with a larger handle. The brush seems like it might work for touch-ups, but probably not the best for doing a full face of makeup.

I paid around $12 or so at Target for this. It's probably half of what I paid for Merle Norman and the product actually seems VERY similar and I get the same end results... yeah! I am very happy with this. As I mentioned, I might pour the powder into my old sifter to make it easier, and more portable. The other day at my grocery store, I found this for $6.60 in a clearance bin! I also found the PF shimmer strips duo mascaras.. unfortunately only the pink/black, but at $4 for that I decided to buy it too... but I preferred either the blue or purple (btw, the mascara seems to work well too- although I probably don't really want pink mascara- I'll use the black a lot). I hope they aren't discontinuing these! Maybe they are changing the packaging in the future? Who knows. Anyway, I snapped up another for when I run out since it was such a great price.

If either of the sets seem to be close to your skin tone, I'd recommend these! They didn't have any lighter than mine, so if you are VERY very pale, it might be slightly too dark (I'm pretty fair, but I use a light self tanner so I'm not the lightest shades of foundation- probably like the third color into the line), or if you have deep skin, they might not have one dark enough. Good stuff!!! My skin looks pretty flawless! Oh and I didn't use any liquid foundation or concealer underneath... didn't need it with this stuff!

I purchased this product because I really like the PF mineral powder in natural beige and wanted to see how the illuminating effect of this one would pan out. First of all, yes, the brush and packaging are horrible! Secondly, the beige is pretty spot-on for my skin tone, so I think the natural shade will be rather useless for me.

Many powders leave skin chalky, flat, and dull. This one does not! However, perhaps there is a fine line between radiance and sheen, and for me, I don't particular like the sheen. I dab at my face lighly with a tissue to counteract the effect a bit, but really I need to find a shine-absorbing finishing powder that will do the trick.

The coverage is fairly light, but also somewhat buildable. In addition, I LOVE using the PF Perfecting Mineral Concentrate (powder concealer in a clickable pen-like container) for any necessary spot coverage. The creamy natural is wonderful for my undereye circles, after which I dust the beige powder over them with a powder brush to blend the tone. Then, after applying the beige powder all over my face with a brush, I use the natural beige perfecting mineral concentrate over the powder for any areas that need additional coverage. The process is pretty quick and does indeed leave me face looking flawless and radiant! I just need a good finishing powder veil. Do keep in mind that the powder does fade a bit over time and your t-zone will get a bit shiney, but at least the product is amazing for sensitive, breakout-prone skin!

I bought this on sale in Natural/Beige. I really like this product. I love putting a light powder over my Laura Mercier oil-moisturizer and this product is one of my favorites. It goes on very even and thin. It doesn't give much coverage but it is buildable. The color is the perfect match for my skin. It never broke out my face and doesn't transfer easily. *thumbs up* The only complaint I have is the packaging as we all know, its terrible! I would def buy this again and I really think it has some competition with high-end mineral powders. Also, this product doesn't know get greasy as some mineral powders tend to do after hours of wear. I would def reccomend this for anyone who likes a glowy (but not overly glowy) look. Perfect for all year round!
