I really wanted to like this lipstick. Probably the only reason that I don't like it is because my lips are too pigmented for it to show up properly. On me, it just looks like I'm wearing chapstick. But, like my other NARS lipsticks, it is very moisturizing and even someone with dry lips could wear it without balm underneath.

I am a blue eyed NW10 (NW20 when tanning from a bottle).

I freaking L-O-V-E this lipstick. my HG. Creamy formula. gentle wash of mauve color that matches my cool pale complexion. Never fails to get compliments. I love carrying around the NARS lipstick packaging, and have used this product every day since I purchased in the summer, and after 3 months, it is still halfway there.

This is a nice nude lipstick. It is not too pale, not orange , not brown. It looks wonderful with Nars Chihuahua lip gloss, thanks to izzybella's review. I have a cool skin NW20 and pigmented lips, usually nude l/s do not work for me, they wash me out. But I love this one.

A very subtle pink-ish/nude color. Perfect for everyday wear with minimal makeup looks. Also, a great bridal color if your going for a natural look.

I was a bit disappointed with this colour, it just looks so average and like 'nothing' on me. The soft mauve isn't a lot different to my natural lip colour so you can hardly notice when I'm wearing it. I think that because it's so sheer I end up using more which in turn uses it up quicker, which annoys me and makes me want to use it less anyway. I don't use this much now and I probably wouldn't repurchase. Very average.

This is a nice MLBB color for my pigmented lips. It looks very natural and it is slightly sheerish and perfect for a no makeup look or date night as the color won't smear all over your man when you kiss him hehe. I like the fact that this is also very moisturizing as well. I have no need for separate lip blam underneath as I do with matte lipsticks. The color is a nice warm pink neutral and brightens my face up subtly. I had to deduct lippies though because even though it is quite moisturizing it emphasizes dry flakes on my lips, does not last long at ALL and overall just not not very impressive for the price. Average product.

This lippie works with pretty much any color eyeshadow. It's pink but not TOO pink. It's a great neutral every-day color that gives just enough color to liven up my lips but still look natural.

This shade Cruising is defiantely one that I kept trying on over and over again at Sephora, never thought of actually buying til the 15% off thing this week sephora sent out. I finally broke down got it and LOVE it. It is nuetral which means it pairs well with most to all makeup looks I manifest. It looks good and natural pale..In MAC my complexion color would be NW45..it is stunning..I get lots of compliments on the dirty, pale, nude color...

I have gone through several tubes (which is rare for me!) of Cruising -- it is definitely my go-to, everyday, "my lips but better" shade. It's a lovely nude pink that looks great on a variety of complexions -- my own is very fair and cool-ish (NW5-10; NARS Siberia), and Cruising just enhances my complexion and pulls everything together without adding a noticeable pop of color. Some find NARS lipsticks to be drying -- and the Semi-Matte series can be if not layered with balm underneath. Cruising is part of the Sheer series, though, which I do not find to be drying at all. I will definitely buy this again, as it is now one of my staples!

Like so many reviewers before me this is a perfect sheer pinky-with a touch of brown nude lipstick. My lips have almost no natural color and many nudes don't look good on me. I am not sure when Nars came out with this lipstick .I can't believe that I have overlooked this shade when I shop Nars products all the time. I have owned and loved many of their colors and I will ad this to my list of favorites.

I have found it– my HG “my lips but better” nude pink lipstick. It was recommended by missglamorazzi on YouTube in one of her favorites videos. I already knew that I liked NARS lipsticks, but this one is my favorite one I’ve tried so far. I first put on a lip balm to smooth out any dryness, and then layer this over it. The lipstick itself is pretty creamy and moisturizing so the combo is really perfect. I think it’s a sexy color without trying too hard in a hot-girl-next-door sort of way. This color is superb for the office, an everyday look, the weekend, or even evening with a smoky eye. Of course it will change shape as you use it, but at first the lipstick has very sharp edges, allowing for a precise application. There is no scent to it. The only thing that makes it not 5 stars is that the color is totally dupable.

The packaging is sophisticated and simple, though gets dirty easily. With all NARS packaging, I wipe if off occasionally with a makeup removal wipe and that takes care of the smudges.

I wanted so badly to love this. It looked like the perfect nude pink, a touch lighter than Dolce Vita, an old favorite. At least that's what it looked like in so many swatches I viewed online. But in real life, this is less pink and more nude on my lips, resulting in a bit of a washed-out look for my NC25 face - but only when worn on its own. When I top it with clear gloss, oddly enough, it works, especially when I wear it with very dark, smoky bronze eyes.

I pretty much agree on the last few posts. This is a great "nude/almost nude lippie. On me, it's a quarter shade lighter than my own lips, so I don't get that pasty dead white out look, and it does not erase my lips. I also get a very delicate pink from this..almost like baby lips. Maybe most people won't notice, but it made my lips look plumper and moister. It goes on smooth, and is almost a sheer formula..as someone else said, it's almost impossible to put on too much. I didn't notice any scent. I like this, although not quite HG material, Once could do much worse when looking for a nude lip color, I'm fair and cool toned...it might be too much for darker or tan complexions, but there is a touch of warmth,,,,it's worth a try.
EDIT: This this will be going back for an exchange...when going through my stash, I found about 8 lippies almost exactly the same shade. Since this didn't do anything special, I'll bring it back. The artificial light used to enchance cosmetics in the store turned this a different color on me then when I used it in natural light.

I was on the waiting list for almost 6 months for this lipstick at Mecca Cosmetica and finally found it on ebay a couple of weeks ago. It was worth the wait.

I'm a novice when it comes to lipstick and this neutral shade is definitely a good way to start building confidence with applying a lipstick. I was always afraid to even go near lipstick as I have seen it on people and it doesn't always look that good.

However, this one is a breeze to apply. It is moisturising enough to apply on its own which I love because I have quite dry lips and I'm constantly applying lip balm. I even apply it without a mirror. It is very forgiving.

This shade is a pinky nude. I have quite pigmented lips so I'm in two minds about it. On one hand it is a lovely shade, but on the other hand it doesn't really look like I'm wearing anything. Maybe that's the point! I did try it before I bought it but maybe that's what sold it to me - that it was neutral and subtle.

I will try it with my Nars lip liner next and report back.

It is expensive, but the quality is impeccable as is the packaging.

EDIT: I just tried it with my Nars Tonga lipliner and it looks so much better. The product has something to sit on rather than being absorbed by the lips.

I like this nude! It has slight pinkish tint to it and it's one of the very few "true nudes" that doesn't make me look like a corpse! I'm a MUFE 118, MAC NC 20-30, just for reference. It's also sheer and the slight shimmer in it isn't over the top at all. This will look great with the NYX eye shadow palette in Secret Garden!

I had been looking for a nice nude for ages, which was not easy for my fair skin, brunette hair and very pigmented reddish lips. I looked "ill" with most nudes, plus when the texture was thick you could see the red of my lips beneath in the tiny creases of the skin... not a good look.

This one has a gorgeous color and the texture is just right. Not too thick but still gave a very flattering color.

I am giving just 2 lippies because of the scent. Some people here have described it as a slight herbal scent but I disagree. What is more, having paid the expensive price and loving the color and texture, I find that I cannot wear it because the smell makes me sick after 10 minutes. This is something that already happened to me with Mac Lip Conditioner in Strobe and with some Clinique Lipglosses. Maybe I am very sensitive to a specific component in the perfume, I don´t know.
However, in conclusion, even though the color and texture are just right if you have had problems with scents in the past I would not take the risk.

My favorite MLBB color. It's more neutral than Dolce Vita so I don't feel overdone, but it gives me a beautiful polished color. This is the one lipstick I keep reaching for day after day.

So far, this is my HG MLBB color. I'm not thrilled with having to pay $24 - which is why I didn't put 5 lippies.

I think it's kinda funny that NARS has this in their semi-matte line, because I don't think it's anywhere near being a matte lipstick - it is more like a MAC lustre to me - which is what I prefer.

I see that in one of the pics for this that someone is comparing it to MAC Hug Me lipstick - I don't know if this is because they believe they are similar, but this is WAY different than Hug Me, on me. Hug Me really warmed up to more of an orangey (but not ORANGE) nude that looked nice. Cruising on me is definitely more of a rosey/plummy almost nude. My lips are plummy on their own, and this makes it a good marriage between the lipstick and my lips in terms of being my MLBB color.

In terms of staying power - since it is a more sheer formula, you kind of expect that it isn't going to stay on really well - it does about what I'd expect - stays on for a few hours if I'm not eating or drinking (which is rare for me!), doesn't feel cakey.

I was really surprised at how much I liked this. I just picked it up yesterday. We'll see how it goes - I don't use lipstick very regularly, but maybe now I will!

Also a note - I don't notice any weird smell to this. I'm picky about lipsticks (or all lip products, really) for that reason, too, and I'm not picking up on anything.
