Wow! A lot of people say they find this lip balm gritty but I dont find it gritty at all. It glides on so smoothly and feel really great on the lips. I got the vanilla bean, it smells really nice, i wouldnt really say it smells like vanilla, it smells kinda candy sweet (?!?). You can tell its artificial scent so not really 100% natural. Rather than that, I pretty happy with the product. Decent lip balm with no petroleum and all that nasty stuff. Does a good job of moisteurizing. Not sticky or thick. Packaging is not the best. I love Nivea's lip balm packaging. Its the best ever (not the actual product inside though).

I have this in Pink Guava, and I really like it. It's a good balm - moisturizing, fairly natural, very little scent, and inexpensive. I'm happy and I'd buy it again :)

I bought this in Honeydew Melon. As other reviewers have said, it's gritty when first applied and while it had a nice scent, it has no flavor, which is somewhat disappointing for me. It did moisturize my lips pretty well, but the grittiness was such a turn off for me that once I ran out (thankfully) I decided not to buy another one. I was really hoping I would like it because the ingredients seemed like it would be so wonderful on the lips. Maybe I'll just have to make my own lip balm. LOL!

I think the one bad thing about this chapstick is that it is super gritty. I bought the acai berry and it is moisturing, but it doesn't last and I don't like the sandpaper feeling on my lips when you first put it on. The smell is ok and the taste is regular chapstick like but overall not my favorite chapstick. I do love Bonnebells regular lipsmackers, my fav is watermelon, it never fails me I love it. Well guess its back to that!

I got this balm in Honeydew Melon.

Well, let me just say that I disliked this product very much. The smell was pretty, but that's the only redeeming quality of this product.
When I put it on, I noticed that it didn't glide across my lips easily. The formula is sticky, thick and shiny. I did not feel comfortable with it on and it didn't moisturize AT ALL.

Overall, I pretty much hated it. I don't recommend this product to anyone!

Even though I love my trusty Blistex DCT with SPF 20% (check out my review), I found myself missing the good old Lipsmacker stick for a happier scent/flavour and for hygienic reasons when I'm on the go. As I was about to grab my all time favourite Dr. Pepper, I saw the Natural line AND it was on sale for $2.00 at SDM so I figured I'd give it a shot. This review is on Pink Guava scent.
I suspect if yours is grainy and you got it on sale, chances are, it wasn't handled properly and beeswax started to separate from oils. Mine is completely smooth; that being said, I anticipated "artificial-intense" scent/flavour only to be slightly disappointed that the scent of beeswax was clearly the star in this product. Nothing tragic but doesn't exactly make me look forward to reapplication. It goes on nicely, however it sits on the surface of your lips meanwhile I prefer my balm to penetrate and nourish a little but that's strictly personal preference. Some reviewers complained about averse effects causing lip dryness but I didn't notice any of that in the past few days of use. Lastly, the 100% Natural is a registered trademark and not a factual claim as there are synthetic elements present although to Bone Bell's defense, natural ingredients definitely prevail in this product compared to the rest of their happy artificial flavours.

The only reason I said I would give this product another buy is to see if maybe Acai scent would overpower the scent of wax but I'm not getting my hopes up. I also had an issue with the lack of proper sealing and thought that the excessive cardboard packaging was pointless even though it was earth friendly.

I bought this in Acai Berry and really like that it says it is 100% natural, with the ingredients being listed as Olive Oil, Beeswax, Pure Fruit Essence, Aloe and Vitamin E. It smells yummy, like a grape/berry scent, and is very moisturizing. I typically use it as an overnight treatment, it adds quite a bit of shine to my lips. It is very slick and a soft formula, not waxy or thick at all. It goes on very smooth, I did not experience any of the grittiness that other reviews have mentioned. I would like to try the other flavors now.

You won't be smacking your lips when you put on Lipsmackers 100% natural.
I bought the acai berry one. The price was about $3, very cheap. The packaging looked nice. However, the actual product was not good. There was no smell or taste at all, It was was girtty and slimy, and it did not moisturize all that well. Plus, 2 days after using it I have a red bump on my lip. I do not recommend it.

I have this in Vanilla Bean which smells like vanilla frosting. I personally dislike the scent because I find it too sweet and too strong for me. I love frosting but I'd rather eat it than have it sitting on top of my lips. The balm is flavourless. The packaging is that of a typical Lip Smacker, nothing special really.

It moisturizes decently, not the best and I find that it is really gloopy. I dislike the fact that the balm seems to have melted inside the tube leaving a complete mess even though I keep it at room temperature or below. It's quite gritty upon application and it feels like most of it is just sitting on top of my lips rather than being absorbed and moisturizing them.

All in all, I don't think I would repurchase. I love that it's 100% natural but it's just not for me.

I had a horrible reaction to a different lip product and my lips were so dry and swollen. I needed something to soothe my lips and that is when I turned to this. Let me just say, the healing started the moment I put this on! The olive oil is soooo soothing. This product has been a blessing. I used the Pink Guava one, which was my daughter's, and I got myself the Honeydew one today, because I loved it!

I have this one in the Vanilla Bean. It has no tint and goes on clear. It also has no taste or sweetness to it. The scent is a very buttery, rich vanilla; it's okay, not the best ever.

The texture is thick, smooth, and glossy. Actually, this balm starts off a tiny bit gritty, but it melts immediately on the lips. The only thing I have to complain about with the performance of the balm is that sometimes this stuff somehow goops up all over my teeth, which is nasty.

The ingredients are really nice for a Lip Smacker product, especially when you consider the low price. These are supposed to be dye, paraben, and gluten free. I didn't like how the package and tube weren't sealed at all; these should definitely be sealed if they're selling them at retail stores. And the print on the label is rubbing off in some spots already.

I wouldn't repurchase this balm.

I was soooo excited for this product, I thought all my dreams had come true. But I was dead wrong.

So I got the vanilla kind 'cause the others seemed gross. Unfortunately it was gonna be gross anyway.

It had everything that's good for your lips all in one package... olive oil, beeswax, aloe and vitamin E, etc etc etc. Sounds AMAZING, right? All natural? You've got to be kidding me! My EXTREME dryness for my lips is now cured! Say goodbye to the dead skin!

Unfortunately none of this was true at all. I mean, I guess it works, if you KEEP APPLYING IT EVERY MINUTE. But who wants that? How inconvenient. My hopes were dashed.

Not only did you have to apply it allll the time, but I have to wear a plastic retainer on my teeth at all times and it got all over it. So if you wear any type of braces or retainers be warned. This stuff is your worst nightmare. It got all over my retainer and STAYED there until I painstakingly scrubbed it off. Yuck. Every time I put it on (which was a lot) I had to take my gross retainer out. Who wants that?

Now for most of you this will be of no concern. But, to the normal people, even still this thing is gross. All slimy and it feels like it has little beads of... I don't know what all in it. Makes my huge lips look like two slugs on my face. Attractive? I think not! The feeling of this stuff is indescribable. Just disgusting. Like almost watery, but not. Solid enough to be really gross.

Now I guess it did help my lips. But it gets all in your mouth and tastes as horrible as it feels. Plus you often have to apply it. Not for me. But remember, I have EXTREMELY (I shout again) dry lips. Like chronic dry lips. I may go to the doctor eventually, cause there is no hope in sight. Sight.

A great lip balm. This really improves the condition of my lips much more than the regular Lip Smackers ever did. It also smells nice (I have Vanilla Bean), and the packaging seems better quality than the regular Lip Smackers (normally the logo wears off after a week of carrying it around). It's slightly more expensive (it's about $3 with tax in Canada) but it's still cheap.

Love it

I got this on a whim since I am sucker for all natural products! I got this in the vanilla bean and was surprised at the formulation. There are some good ingredients in here and no dyes, parabens, petrolium etc. The vanilla smells JUST like frosting and it melts into your lips quickly leaving them moisturized. It was $1.79 and I have paid MUCH more for much less. This is a fabulous product. I only wish the packaging was a little more "adult" and sleek, but since it's so great I will overlook it. If you are into natural cosmetics this is a KEEPER! I will def. repurchase.

I bought this in honeydew melon. I love the flavor and scent. I agree with previous posts that it's kind of oily. I can feel a little grittiness and the stick does start to lose its shape, but it's really slight compared to other natural balms i have tried that are not well-made. The balm goes on clear with a slight shine, and I also feel like it promotes my natural lip color. I definitely prefer Alba's Pineapple Quench and Burt's Bees over this. I would give this another try if the product changed a little (as in less melty and oily).

This is the BEST lip balm I have ever used! I have it in Vanilla. Not sure why others are mentioning any grainy type of feeling. I don't have that at all. Perhaps it may not be as smooth as one that contains more wax and preservatives than this one and that's what we are all used to.
It contains olive oil and while I can feel the slip of an oil in the product, it does not drip or feel as if you just put olive oil on your lips, but if you asked me if I could think there is oil in this, I can definitely confirm it's there....at just the right amount. I find the product uses up quite fast compared to a regular chapstick/ lip smacker/ other lip balm as the oil/aloe/vitamin E + beeswax mixture is all natural and therefore there are less waxes and preservatives to ensure longevity with a harder texture.
I use this every night at bedtime and in the morning to prep my lips for color. I haven't tried the other flavors yet, but I'm very impressed with vanilla! If you try this, please don't compare it to a regular lipsmacker, as it's not really fair to measure it to this just because of the name "lip smacker".

The only good thing I can say about this is that it'll add a little bit of shine to your lips. I bought the Acai one. It adds very little moisture. The product consistency is too soft and very oily. I didn't find it to be gritty though. It barely smelled like anything and had no taste or color (it looks white in the tube). Packaging is meh. Halfway through the tube, I threw it out because I think it clogged a couple of pores around my lips.

TERRIBLE! I love the lip smackers but this natural version is awful. I got the honeydew and noticed no particular smell or flavor, but that may be due to the fact that I took this off my lips after about 2 minutes. It goes on super GRAINY and the little specks of grit DO NOT melt away. Even after vigorously rubbing my lips together on a hot day in Houston, TX. BOOOO. Even though it was only a dollar and some change I will be returning it to Target ASAP. I can use my dollar elsewhere...like to buy an UN-natural lip smacker.
