Received in a swap, can't get it to show up at all, even with a base. It's not matte so I expected it to be easier to work with, sadly, it's not. Oh well, lesson learned.

I waffle on this one. I've seen others wear it beautifully but it doesn't do a lot for me. On my very fair skin it seems to just disappear, unless I really pack a lot on, which case it gets chalky-looking. I rarely get the flashes of pink gold I see on others. I think on more medium-toned, golden skin it picks up a lot more dimension as a highlighter. For me, it's only useful as a light wash combined with a plum or grey crease -- and lots of shadows can do that job, many more interestingly. Too bad. I'm giving it 3 because I've lent mine to a couple of people with warmer skin tones and it's been incredibly lovely on them.

I want to like this. I often look at it in the pan in the morning, but end up bypassing it. In the pan I can see MAC's description of chilled lavendar but on me this goes on as a chalky grey meh.
I've tried this over a number of other purple es (Crystal, Purple Haze, Scene) to see if I can get any use out of it, but it either vanishes or makes the other shadows look greyed out and milky.
Very disappointed.

Very dissapointed by the pigmentation. MAC suggested this color as a highlight to wear with purple eyeshadows. It doesn't even show up on my skin.

I really wanted to like this! It was recommended by an SA as a base for my hazel eyes and pale, yellow skin. It looks like a light purpley/silvery shade in the pan, but goes on purpley/pinky/red. It had very little impact on my pale skin- you can barely see it except for an unappealing reddish tint. There are so many similar, better shades out there for yellow skin. I can see this working with dark skin. Cloud by Stila works much better on me.

For a WOC, this is a pretty color. People compliment me every time I wear this. Try it

COLOR: the MAC website describes this shade as "Chilled lavender pink (frost)" but the swatch online is much darker than this shade in real life. It's more of a pink/lavender shade of off white, very similar to the color of a white (not cream/beige) pearl. The finish is multidimensional. It's not "white" though, you can definitely see the pink/lavender when it's on.
WEAR: I am able to get a long (full day) wear out of this shade without fading or creasing.
USES: This is an excellent highlighter when doing cool toned shadows. It's like a cool toned version of 'Claire de Lune' which was LE.
[+] It can be used an all-over lid shade, because it is multidimensional, but I can't do this in the summer because it looks too white against my skin (NC42).
[+] It's great as a base/all over lid shade (starting point) for adding and blending darker, cool toned shades that you wouldn't want to wear alone. I am on my 2nd Seedy Pearl, which I bought because it was recommended by the SA at MAC for blending with Parfait Amour, which is a deep indigo shade, and it worked well for this purpose.

I will certainly repurchase as this is a very versatile shade that is extremely useful to have around.

When I first tried this on I was "meh" about it...I would've given it 3/5 stars, but after I wore it with "Trax" I am overwhelmed with the beauty of this shadow. It is such a beautiful lavender pink and is perfect for a soft, plummy eye.

one more beautiful iridescent color,it is a silky pink-white with purple undertones which doesn't have a chalky shimmer, but a lovely sheen.it works great as a highlight color, but on my nc15 skin,I often use it as an allover lid color.looks perfect with Deep truth, sketch or any other dark cool shade.it is one of the must haves of my 15-pan palette.I think the effect is similar to pink opal pigment, which I also adore.

When I swatched this in the shop it seemed a lot more irridescent duochrome pink then the one I have, my one is too powdery, not irridescent at all and barely shows up. I think I need to work with it more, but so far I am not impressed and I wanted to love this!

I ended up returning this. I've been hunting for something with a pink duochrome to layer over other shadows. I didn't want to buy Pink Opal pigment because of the new packaging MAC's put pigments in, plus I already own Vanilla (and love it!). I thought perhaps Seedy Pearl would be the eyeshadow version of Pink Opal, but it wasn't. The pink duochrome part came through loud and clear but unless I piled this on, I couldn't really see any base color to it. I instead went and bought Ulta's Pearl eyeshadow, which works much better as a highlighter since it's pink duochrome in a white, frosty base. Seedy Pearl is not a bad color, it just wasn't for me. Glad it works for so many others, though!

I know this e/s has received mixed reviews, but it is one of my staples. On me, it is not really flashy (or trashy!) or multi-tonal, and definately not frosty. It is just a soft highlight of pale pink, sort of. It brings out my brown eyes. I switch between this and Shroom as my base/brow bone shade. It looks beautiful with Mulch and other browns, but I also use it on it's own when I need to be bright-eyed.

Out of all my eyeshadows, I hate this one the most. I dont know if I got a bad one, but the formula is awful for me (which is uncommon for a frost). It's a very light grey/white shadow with an opal shimmer to it. I can barely get any on my brush and the color payoff is next to nothing! Definitly a big waste of money for me...swatch it before buying.

My all-time favorite eye shadow. I've been using Seedy Pearl for about 7 or 8 years now and I've never stopped wearing it. It's my go-to, everyday shadow and I wear it often for nights out. I wear it all over, especially on the lid, and it looks great paired with Stars 'n' Rockets in the crease to give my eyes pop.
I have noticed that there can be some problems with the consistency of the shadow, however if it is applied evenly and a little heavily then the color should look great and even. Also, if it is not used fast enough sometimes the pigmentation can start to change a bit, losing some of the pretty pink in the color.

I seem to be one of the few persons who isn`t besotted with that shade. I bought it in an online shop because of the many good reviews here and was very disappointed when I received it. To me the multi-tone, iridescent quality produces a trashy 80s effect that I don`t find flattering in the least. Maybe this could work on a teenage girl. What I wanted was a classy rose- to mauve-colored, less translucent shade to create an elegant nude eye. In that range of colors, yoghurt, pen n`pink and digit are more to my liking.

Seedy Pearl is definitely pretty in terms of being unique in my stash ... I can't say I've been able to find a good dupe for it. It's a gorgeous soft pink that has an opalescent lavendar flash ... it morphs into a different color upon application, which is part of what I like about it. The texture of this one is what fails to really grab me. I have a ton of MAC's frost eyeshadows, and this one just doesn't deliver the same way in terms of pigmentation and ease of application. This is one that requires a little bit of layering, and even with that, the color payoff is more iridescence than actual color. It's very soft and delicate though, and is amazing paired with a smokey black or deep charcoal. Overall, one I reach for more often than not, and looks amazing on brown eyes!

I really do like seedy pearl, seeing as though it was more as an impulse buy when the m/u artist at MAC suggested I try it and I didn't have high expectations. But I have come to enjoy this eyeshadow, I also like the sort of duochrome it has going on, looks very good on my NC 25 skin.

I wasn't impressed with this at first, when swatched on the back of my hand it looked great, BUT on my lids it didn't really show up. I have found a use for it though!!
I appy matte shadows on the lid and crease e.g. blanc type and fig or copperplate and then use this a subtle wash over everything to help blend the lid and crease colours. The pink/purple duochrome really shows up when I use it like this.

I love this! I have about 10 MAC shadows that I ordered online and this is the only one I really like besides Shroom. The opalescence is pretty, it does kind of have a strange finish but I like how buildable it is. I chatted with a MAC artist on their site and she recommended I use Seedy Pearl on my lid, Girlie in crease, and highlight with Sweet Lust. She said I could swap Seedy Pearl with Vex to mix it up. I ordered all those and I'm expecting them tomorrow, so I'll let you know. She also recommended Shale and Quarry used with Shroom. So if you already use and like those colors, grab this too; I'm sure you'll love it!
