Great eyeshadow but it is a lot lighter than it looks, and the sparkle does get lost a bit

I got a small size of this in an Urban Decay eyeshadow primer package at Sephora. The SA showed me how to apply the shadow and I'm so glad she did, I'm a bit of a rookie at makeup application. I used a foam applicator and pressed it on the lower centre lid, and then kinda smudged it out across just my lower lid. It looks amazing! It can be done subtle enough that you could wear it for daytime/work and then bold it up for night. Overall, it lasted all day/night, looked great and really brought out my eye color. If you apply it right, the purple color will come through, use a foam brush (not a makeup brush) and you should get the results you want.

I have sample sizes of retrograde and bobby dazzle and I am IN LOVE. I am a big fan of sparkly eyeshadows, and I figured I couldn't go wrong with these especially since they are urban decay. When you apply it dry, it's a sheer wash of sparkle that can be wore over another color, but if you apply it wet you get the color intended. I like to use retrograde with busted or half truth in the crease for a pretty purple look to compliment my brown eyes. For Bobby Dazzle I felt like it was gorgeous enough alone so you get a soft white sparkle. Whenever I wear these I find myself turning my head from side to side just to see the effect that is has on my eyes. When I run out of samples I will buy the full sizes for sure.

Good. Has a nice sparkle to it. Good for dressed up events. I wouldn't by it again because it was very expensive and I only bought it because I had a voucher.

I got this for free @ Ulta In RETROGRADE which on my skintone & applied dry is a muted greyish purple with very little color & lots of glitter....which by the way is very smooth....applying this DRY does this no justice....I applied it wet & packed the color on to avoid glitter all over my face....& viola its true beauty revealed it became a pretty lavendar/greyish. W/silver glitter.....happy that I got this for free as I would not have purchased it on my own & even after liking this I would not repurchase....E/S is not really my thing.

I got stardust series in diamond dog and retrograde. I was initially set out to get diamond dog and moon spoon but when I tested out moon spoon I just wasn't feeling it on my skin tone so the sales recommended retrograde saying it was meant for brown eyes makes them pop and I told her I had enough purple shadows at home but she insisted this was "IT" so I said sure.. Man was she right I applied retrograde wet and it was intense violet with specks of blue my eyes looked phenomenal sadly there was minor fallout but I didn't mind as I expected it. I tried retrograde straight out of the pan and its a subdued lilac which is great by itself during the day or layered. There is glitter I can't see why people complain as the name of the series is stardust...anyways diamond dog is great wet and dry cocoa brown with hints of grey. Overall I live them applied with the primer they last all day even leading into the next morning lol

This eyeshadow sucks. I got a free sample in Retorgrade and I was so disappointed. The glitter is pretty, but that's all you get. The purple doesn't show up at all and the glitter just barely.

I have this in Retrograde. Color payoff is horrible. It went on sheer no matter how much of it I packed on. The glitter is a big disappointed as it did not stay on my eyes but instead went all over my face and clothes. I was a big sparkly mess. Will not be buying this again.

I got a sample of RETROGRADE with my V.I.B card, I had already bought DIAMOND DOG and loved it. This color was a lot of fun, blends in really nicely with a neutral pink or lighter purple. The only flaw is that the glitter gets all over your face and its hard to get off.

I got this in retrograde in the Sephora VIB bag. Pros: beats out almost any other glitter pressed eyeshadow in terms of brightness and levels, you can build it up or apply it sheer and it makes a great addition to black liner. Cons: a bit stiff to work with, doesn't blend as well as it could. While I enjoy this and would definitely consider buying Stardust in the future, I feel like I can get the same effect from Fyrinnae or other mineral pigment shadows for a lot less money.

Total and complete glitterbomb. The sparkle is all over your face and clothes within hours, even with a good primer. The color payoff wasn't fantastic enough to look past this unfortunately. I will probably give this to my daughter to play with or throw it out completely.

I have both griffin and 54. Griffin is very pigmented and can be sheer or heavily layerered. This is my favourite. 54 was a big disapointment. The colour is too sheer and even after several layers it did not have the same impact as Griffin. With reference to the fallout, there is lots (for me). It is much better if applied wet and leaning over a mirror. I have discovered with 54 that when the pan became wet it has formed little lumps which are usually collected on the brush and diificult to get off your eyes without ruining the rest of the eyeshadow.

I bought this in Diamond Dog looking for something sparkly, sheer, and flattering, so I'm pretty happy. Diamond Dog is a really pretty neutral brown. I usually apply it sheer with my finger, but the color is buildable. It doesn't apply as well with a brush though. There is fallout, and the color fades by the end of the day, but the glitter is usually still there.
I loved the packaging when I first bought this because you squeeze the sides to open it, but somehow, after I put this into my makeup bag one day, the lid opened, and now there's a dent in the shadow and glitter all over the inside of my bag....sigh.

After a good couple hours trying to decide which one I wanted to try I ended up walking away with Space Cowboy. It is pretty sheer so I figured I wouldn't be limited to what colors I can wear it with. It is by far one of the prettiest shimmers I have ever found. I haven't played with primers yet, (im sure they will make a huge difference) but I will say that without them, it doesn't seem to stay on very long. By mid-day it looks almost completely gone. But despite this, I'm going back this week to get a few more!

I played around with these at Ulta for a bit so I bought these knowing that the color payoff is not like their other shadows. I got Retrograde & Diamond Dog. I have to say I LOVE them! I apply them with my fingers as suggested over & primer potion or I use them wet mixed with Visine. The colors are sheer but they build, I swipe my finger 7-10 times in the layering process to get the color impact I want. Retrograde is a grey-ish grape after application, Diamond Dog is also greyed out a bit but is a nice cocoa brown. Dry application with a brush is not great as there is more fallout & wet application with a brush is weird, the products gets a grainy texture & doesn't smooth out as well IMO. I don't know why UD would say no fallout because there is most definitely fallout. There is, however, less fallout with use of primer or when using visine or the transforming potion for wetting instead of water. BE weather everything should work as well but I haven't tried it. Visine works & is less $$
All in all I would buy these again but they are overpriced.

I kind of have 2 reviews for these. I bought atmosphere (teal) and 54(lilac) the day my Ulta put them out. Atmosphere is very pigmented, the most gorgeous metallic teal ive found. I foil each of these, therefore i don't have trouble with fallout like some people do. Atmosphere seems to have smaller glitter than 54, hence the more metallic effect. 54 is another story. I do like it, but I have to wear a purple base of some sorts underneath. It's not totally sheer, but it doesn't have the pigment of atmosphere. I do like the nifty squeeze packaging, saves my nails on opening the package. They are beautiful shadows when wore foiled, a little more pigment would be nice with 54 though.

Not all that pigmented, so it's good if you just want to add extra glitter on top of other eyeshadows. I personally love neutral eyeshadow colors but I also love sparkle!! "Space Cowboy" is the best of both worlds. Ever since I bought it, I've been wearing it nearly every day, always with Urban Decay's Primer in "Sin." It creates the perfect neutral, glittery look. Plus, the glitter is very fine. I don't think it's too noticable from far away but when you get up close it's a very pretty glimmer.

when i first saw these at my work, i wanted to like them, but when i tried the colors on my hand, there was no color, just glitter and lots of it..i was disappointed...so a week later, i played with them again..this time using primer which makes a totally different look...you can actually get color out of these eyeshadows...the glitter was still a lot thought....so then i thought about what would happen if you got the e/s wet...and holy cow..the color just pops!!! wet and with primer and probably the only way i would actually wear these e/s...
you guys probably already know what the bad part is: the glitter....way too much and i love glitter,..but at the end of the day when your ready to take off your makeup, the glitter will not come off...its just stay around...
xoxo

I played around with these shadows for a while in sephora. As everyone said. There basically no pigment to these colors, it's all glitter. So i just decided to buy space cowboy (which is a neutral tone). I like to use it on top of pigmented shadows or by itself with liner. I see no point in having different colors like black, grey, green, etc because they don't show up. I use it with UD primer potion and glitter doesn't fall out. I recommend this but not if you're looking for color.
