Intro:
$1 can be found on eyeslipsface.com sometime can be cheaper during their 50% off sale, kmart, target (some stores, not all), sometimes biglots & dollar store.
MY SKIN TYPE:
acne prone
combo skin (mainly dry & have dry patches)
Please keep in mind that this is a tinted moisturizer, not a foundation, hence the coverage is fairly sheer, and light. and have a dewy finish, I would not recommend this to those with very oily skin.
Some people are comparing it to BB creams, which you should not be doing so, mainly because BB Creams are sightly different compared to tinted moisturizers.
I've read some of the reviews some noted that there is a scent to it, I however have no recollection of a scent. Length of the product is a little over 3.5 inch. and comes in a small squeeze tube, which I love, its not messy like the pour out kinds, and making it great to carry in your purse or traveling.
I got this as an extra during a swap, and it have currently made into my everyday makeup routine.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It can be drying and if you put on your facial moisturizer (with spf) first and layer this tinted moisturizer it will show every single one of your imperfections, can get fakey if you have dry skin. TO FIX this problem, I mixed with my aveeno daily moisturizer with 15 SPF, and with the tinted moisturizer (half/half) it comes on smoothly and beautifully and this prevents creasing!!!
I've been using this for almost two months now and I am still on my first tube.
AS FOR BREAKOUTS: For the first week, I got this burning sensation but decided to give it a try since my skin rarely reacts good when I try anything new on it (when i used this product only I had a horrible breakout with cystic acne etc it was horrible and painful). I stopped using it until my face cleared up. Decided to give it one more try and end up mixing it with my daily moisturizer no breakout since and no burning sensation! with the exception of one huge cystic pimple due to time of the month.
With all that being said, I however, will not be purchasing this product. mainly because, it is a hassle having to mix it with my moisturizer and making sure it will match me after I have mix it. I might buy it if I know I have a trip coming and have limited packing space.

There are only two things that I have to complain about this product. One is it isn't at Target so you have to order it and that there needs to be more product, but it IS only one dollar. Not much coverage, but that's expected. Smells like citrus. Okay color selection and great blendability. Small and a great product to use with the tone correcting concealer.

This is way too dewy and greasy looking on my skin. I have combo/oily skin and the finish was not flattering. I had to powder my skin A LOT to reduce the shine and my face just looked caked up in the end! The coverage was decent and the shade 'ivory' was good for my pale skin but the finish and the scent were not nice.

This product is quite good, I use it as primer or just a foundation during weekends when I am not at school. It brightens the face but it has not a good coverage.

I did not like this tinted moisturizer! I bought the light/medium formula because thats all they have left (I usually use medium!) and it turned my skin a disgusting orange color! People even made comments about how orange my face looked. I used a pea size amount like I do with my BB creams. It didn't cover up any imperfections or even out my tone. Unless they considering turning your whole face bright orange "correcting." I will never buy this product again, I'm glad it was cheap. I would suggest a BB Cream like Garnier's, its way better coverage

I quite like this little tube! True, it has practically no coverage at all, but I find that it evens out my skin tone a bit and overall it gives me a glowy, healthy look. I bought this in light beige which is a perfect tone for my skin (in bourjois foundations; I use the ones ending in 2 (62, 72...).
I prefer to use this after I've moisturised because I find it doesn't blend very well by itself. I often moisturise with sweet almond oil and this goes on top like a treat, but it does make me look very dewy so it might not be for everyone.
I don't find the scent very strong, it's a nice chocolate orange that doesn't linger much. And it comes with an SPF which is really handy (but on thw downside prevents me from using it when I wear a stronger SPF because I don't want to mix sun filters). For this price, I think it's a nice product just for the luminosity it gives to the skin.

It's very red-orange when applied. It's also very hard to work with because of the red-orange tint.

This to me is a good started TM. It offers light (or non existent) coverage. If you're skin is pretty much clear, this'll help balance it out. I used to use this for going in to work, pretty much a less greasy sun screen was how I saw it. Something that'd protect my face on the drive over, and would help balance out the colors around my nose, under eyes, and chin.
But it's so light, whether I use it or not, doesn't change my appearance that much. It does have a delightful citrusy fragrance to it however that I enjoy.

This product is useless; it did NOTHING for me! The product is a tinted moisturizer so I was hopeful to get light, natural coverage out of it. However, even when layering it, I got zero coverage, even worse, it was quite oily. It made my skin look very shiny and it felt greasy. The product smells very strongly (citrusy) and although it does smell good, I don't want something so heavily perfumed on my face. Don't bother with this product, especially if you have oily or sensitive skin.

Was super excited to try it after reading good reviews but as soon as I got it and used it. My face automatically felt a burning sensation. I really Love elf products and try to see the good in every product but this was pretty bad

This feels like a foundation on my face. It's really thick. I really don't like this tinted moisturizer. It has this orange smell which smells foul. Why would you want an orange smell on your face ? I bought mine in Rosy Beige. I'm glad that it wasn't that much money if not i would of been more angry. I do not recommend this to anyone.

I own this in the color Light Beige. It was actually sent to me for free within one of my E.L.F. orders. And, I am totally glad that I received it for free instead of actually wasting my money on this stuff!
First off, I don't understand why E.L.F. finds the need to add fragrance to alot of their face products (including this one). Fragrance is meant to be worn below the neck (on our bodies), instead of on our faces. And, even though this product is meant to have a sugar orange scent, it really smell terrible!
To see if this moisturizer had any redeeming qualities to it, I decided to try it on anyway. It goes on light in tone. But, over time, it does start to oxidize. Also, it made my face look overly shiny the longer that I wore it. And even though tinted moisturizers are supposed to give off a lightweight feel, this one felt like more like a liquid foundation going onto my face.
Overall, I highly recommend just saying NO to this stuff!

I don't understand all the good reviews for this product. When I first got this, I was so excited for it. When i opened it up and put a little on the back of my hand, the smell just made me want to throw it away. I'm usually not sensitive about smells of products at all, but the smell of this i just can't stand. It smells like oranges, but not a pleasant smell. It's not something you want on your face. Thankfully, the smell does soon go away. I feel that it's very greasy and doesn't cover much. The only positive things about this product for me is the price, ($1), and the SPF. Elf does impress me with alot, just not this product.

this tinted moisturizer covers well. But there are no colors to choose from. My closest color was beige and it was really to dark for me. It looks really greasy on your face and doesn't blend. Its good if you are just beginning with foundation or have dry skin. I have combo skin and it didn't work to well for me. The price was great being only 3 dollars.

I honestly HATE this product so much.
I thought it was pretty nice and bearable when I used it the first couple of times.
I soon noticed how orangey it looked on me. It's super hard to blend, and it just didn't work for me at all.
I have it in the color Porcelain.

Normally I would not buy this again if I need full coverage or anything more than light, but me having freckles and really pale skin it seems to work really well for me for a very light covering. It evens me out a bit and even reduces my red spots. I like it overall for my skin type, but anyone wanting more pigmentation should not buy it.

This tinted moisturiser does just what it has to do: moisturises the skin and gives it a really light coverage. it still looks like your skin, only slightly better! I have been using it everyday since I have it. You will end up going through it really quickly if you use it every day, because the packaging is quite tiny. But the price is so cheap it's definetly worth. I am not bothered by smell as well, it's a sweet orangey kind of smell, but definetly not too strong once applied. I noticed that it leaves my skin very soft even after I remove it. It's just an easy product to use in the morning if you want a no-makeup look. I think I will repurchase it sooner or later in one of my next e.l.f. orders. all in all, a nice easy product for everyday looks.

I bought this on an ELF haul and based off another NC15 review. I think it will be perfect for spring and summer and the light beige is a perfect match.

I absolutely LOVE this product. It's cheap, it's cheerful and best of all, it works! I have a very dry skin, and as such prefer to wear either a moisturising foundation or a tinted moisturiser. This product is great if you are looking for a tinted moisturiser that gives you a natural, dewy finish - it just looks like my skin, but better! And best of all, it's only £1.50. Sure the tube is pretty small, think it's 10 ml but for that price it's worth it. I've tried a myriad of foundations and tinted moisturisers over the years but this is the one I keep returning to. On a day where I don't want to wear much make-up I simply pop a bit of this on my face and I only use a tiny bit of foundation on my cheeks and around my nose where I tend to get a bit of ruddiness.
This product works best for a dry skin tone, I think it would just look greasy on an oily skin, but it has a lovely, light texture - it feels like I'm not wearing anything on my face. And it's great for those pale skinned girls out there because I have the lightest coloured skin and the lightest colour ivory was slightly too pale on me (which never happens, I find it so hard getting foundations to match my skin tone)
If you're doing an ELF haul, I definitely recommend getting a tube of this to try out.

Unlike the 3 dollar version this one has an over powering orangey scent. The scent carries on to your face and takes forever to go away.I find that this doesn'thave good coverage and only leaves your face with a dewey finish ..
It just isn't worth it for how little product is in the container.
