I am thrilled with everything about this product, including the shape and size of the can,as its a little wider and shorter than standard hair sprays-I can just throw this in my handbag if I need a touch up and it doesn't jab my kidneys or stick out. My hair has never been coloured, not even a rinse.... And it is fine and naturally straight and smooth and there's lots of it,...so due to all these factors (and oily skin/scalp) I need a good product to add lift and body to my hair. I have tried many mousses and powders (those oil absorbing ones, so called root lifting powders which just make your hair look waxy and unclean) and I will even freely bag the hell out of David Babaii's own "miracle volume instant hair volumizing powder"- one of the worst hair products I have purchased !! So anyone reading this review knows this is honest and for real, as I love AND hate within the same brand;)
This adds gorgeous Victoria's Secret type sexy volume and lift, does not go hard/sticky but is rather a textured feel without feeling producty, waxy, or unnatural. I spray this through the roots in panels and then around the top layers then just rough it up into my hair and boof it up ....and it makes my layered haircut sit the way only hardcore blow-drying,styling and rollers can. I am disgustingly in love:) smells beautiful, not like a "get high on me" hair spray but a classy subtle fragrance. Only comment is that it feels so nice and natural that I keep handling touching my hair .....so would need to touch up once or twice for continued effect. This is great though because it shows its not harsh on hair ....oh and by the way ?!?! Best dry shampoo hair saver after gym or next morning if rushing out the house....haven't found a dry shampoo that didn't make me look like a bohemian hippie.....until this fantastic spray.... Gush gush gush HG!:))))))) you get the picture. Price is great too compared to what I have paid for in some lower performing but higher end luxury hair brands.

This is my HG root lifting spray. I cannot emphasise how much I love this product. Its a clear spray (like a hairspray) that I direct at my roots and crown area and set in clips when air drying. Once dry, my crown area and roots have amazing volume, lift and shape. I only found out about this product because I had read that angelina jolie's stylist used it on her but I am so glad I found it because it does everything I want in a root lifter. It provides lift, body, and volume but without being crunchy, sticky, flaky, drying or damaging. It contains no sulfates, parabens or petro chemicals and its cruelty free- what more could you ask for?! The main thing I love about it is that I can use this product alone and I dont need about 50 other volumising products at the same time. For my fine, limp, flat hair this is indeed a modern miracle because typically, I have to use about 3 or 4 volumising products to get anywhere near the height and body that I crave. With this though, I can use it on its own and it still delivers the goods! This means that I use less products and therefore have less build up in my hair- so all in all I am very very pleased with this product. My only gripe is that it seems very hard to get hold of- I am in UK and its mainly sold in Australia. I couldnt find any UK or American websites that stock it and had no luck with ebay either. Consequently, Ive been forced to order it from an Australian pharmacy which means high shipping costs but I dont care- its that good that I am willing to shell out for it :)

I bought this product not knowing exactly what it was going to be like - I actually thought it was going to be like a dry shampoo type product, which absorbs excess oil/styling products, and therefore gives volume to the hair. However this is more like a hairspray. At first I didn't think much of it, but I tried it out on my fringe. I took the front section of my fringe, sprayed some of the product at the root, teased it and wow - the volume was amazing. So it's become a great product to give my fringe some volume when I want to clip it back. It also works great to give volume at the back, but the hair seems to require some teasing to get some substantial volume. However, I found that compared to hairspray, I get more volume from this spray. You can use it on wet or dry hair, but I have so far only used it on dry hair.
The down-side - I don't know if it's just the aerosol cannister that I ended up with, but the spray nozzle is a bit dodgy and at one stage, there was liquid product leaking out of the sides when I shook it. And the nozzle seems to get clogged up easy. However, the mist is nice and fine. This helps with getting the product lightly distributed, as it can be a bit sticky if you use too much. The fragrance is sort of a fruity-hairspray smell - I'm not too keen on it, but it's OK.
Overall, a great volumising product. Wish the packaging wasn't dodgy, which makes it a bit difficult to use. However it will become a staple in my hairstyling products.
