Unfortunately, I didn't get this brush with a kit, I payed full price for it, and I regret it so much. It is harsh on my skin (it almost feels like applying mineral foundation with a woolen cardigan), and it sheds ridiculously. I thought it would be better by time, but one year later, it still sheds as much as in the beginning. I am a bit reluctant to buy a new brush since they are quite expensive, but I will use this for a couple of months more and then search for a better brand.

This brush wouldn't be bad if it weren't for the shedding.

When I first got it, it worked pretty well to put the BE foundation on. It was a little rough feeling, but I can deal with that. But, the bristles started breaking, and then shedding all over the place. My neck, face, and chest would end up covered in little hairs that I would have to be picking off all the time.

I even took it back to Sephora, where I bought the kit, and exchanged it, and the clerk told me that she gets a lot of complaints and that these brushes are well-known for shedding. She exchanged the brush, though, and when I went to use it the next day, it shed right away!

I would NEVER spend money on this brush. I'm using a Sephora crazy-colors brush set that is far superior to this, even though it likely isn't made for mineral powders.

DO NOT ever buy this brush, unless it is in a kit... and even then, toss it and buy something else.

I received this brush in a Get Started kit - I liked it for the first few months when I thought the shedding would slow down.... But it never did. I continued to use it because I was new to foundation brushes and thought the problem was me somehow... but when I started learning the ropes I realized what a piece of poop this brush is. I washed and conditioned it once a week and it didn't prevent the bristles in the very center if the brush from breaking and snapping and getting rough and scratchy. It used to be soft but no matter what conditioning treatment I use the brush is literally unusable. I'm so glad I didn't pay full price for this - I'd have been furious. I've since switched to a Sephora mineral brush and couldn't be happier.

I would never have bought this brush if it didn't come with the kit. It's called "full coverage," but it doesn't actually do that great of a job. It's fairly soft, but for the price, it can be better. It also sheds like nobody's business. I expect brushes to have a certain amount of shedding, especially if it has natural hair (I assume this at least has partial natural hair due to the texture), but this thing loses several hairs every time I use it.

The most annoying thing about this brush is that it traps hardened clumps of makeup. I clean all my brushes on regular basis. I've never had another brush that did this. It's rather disgusting.

The brush itself: about 6 inches in length with fawn bristles and black handle. The bristles themselves are around 2 inches in length, densely packed and very "poofy." Washing it is a bit of a nightmare since it traps dirt and pigments very well. And again: shedding, and hiding clumps of makeup.

Out of the three brushes the starter kit came with, the only one I'm not replacing is the concealer brush. The so-called "flawless coverage" brushes aren't that useful. If you're looking for full coverage brushes, I'd recommend something like a flat top brush -- which is what I'm now using. I'd like to try a skunk brush in the future. The point is: this style of brushes -- especially this specific brush -- just doesn't do it for me.

I got this brush with my bare minerals set I bought a while back. This brush did provide flawless coverage, but this brush sheds like crazy & the handle of the brush broke almost instantly (& I'm careful with my makeup products). Also, over time the hairs on this brush start to get coarse & hard. This brush is cheapily made. Overall, I did really like the effect of the brush & how it made my makeup look, but for the price & poor quality of this, you can definitely find way better brushes. So, I will not buy this again, but it did work well for a short while. But, in the long run, this is not a good investment.

When I first got this brush in the starter kit, I liked it. I think I just preferred it to the flawless face brush because this one gave me better coverage. After buying the Everyday Minerals Flat Top Brush, I don't like this brush as much since it feels so rough on my face now compared to the flat top. I also prefer the coverage and ability to buff from the Flat Top Brush.

I got this brush in the Get Started kit, but I don't use it for foundation. I use it for blush and bronzer, and it works just fine. I've washed it tons of times, haven't noticed shedding or coarseness issues, it feels soft on my face. If I lost it, I might replace it or (probably) just go to MAC and get a regular blush brush. But it's not a bad brush, just not super outstanding. I use the kabuki brush for the Bare Minerals and the coverage and application is much better.

I have acne scarring and when i use this 'full coverage' brush with the bare minerals matte foundation it doesn't cover any of it. I tried out the Mac 109 brush with this foundation and it works amazingly at covering everything. Seriously don't waste your money on this brush.

Really, really coarse hair with this one, it really scratches my face and makes it feel like burning. Also the hairs keep falling out quite frequently. It does get the job done quite nicely, but it just feels so awful on my face I barely use it.

Scratchy, itchy, irritating and horrible, horrible shedding... ugh!

When I first got the brush (a gift in a set with the foundation), it worked great—& then I washed it. Even using the special Bare Escentuals soap, it seemed like the brush's quality completed nose-dived after that. It began shedding like crazy (and didn't stop), the brush fibers got poky and started to make my skin itch every time I used it, and worst of all, the brush lost its softness and started really, really irritating my skin.

Super disappointing; save your money on this one!

I think this product is awful. It is scratchy and it sheds constantly. I figured it must be a good brush because you MUST use a brush to apply mineral makeup. It seems to me that a mineral makeup company like BE should be able to get the brush right. I figured wrong. This thing was a total letdown. I finally stopped trying to "make it work" and pitched it in the bin where it belongs. My Ecotools will do just fine.

Such an absolute disappointment for me.

I was told by the MUA that I absolutely *needed* this brush if I were going to start using mineral foundation. As this was my first time with mineral foundation I took her advice and bought the brush with it.

First off, this brush stinks! It is my first brush that I've ever had a problem with stinking - and I have $1 brushes from other companies that never have a smelling problem. Even after several washes with good-smelling baby shampoo, it still manages to hold on to its stinky beginning smell.

It also shed a lot in the beginning and it was very scratchy initially, though the problem is not so pervasive now. Still, though, I have way cheaper brushes which have held up much better than this brush.

Lastly, and what was most frustrating, is that it was awful at applying my foundation. I don't know if maybe I was doing it wrong but EVERY way I tried applying foundation or powder with this brush, it just absorbed all the product and gave me no coverage, much less the "flawless" application I had been hoping for.

If it were a cheap brush I wouldn't mind but this was expensive! I was expecting miracles and got utter disappointment

This is really good brush for powder or mineral application. Not that I have tried many others but I tried this and I liked it. They are not shedding much (at least mine) and it's very soft. I do not like the packaging though, I want some nice box or something, please.

This is way too scratchy for my face - almost to the point where it irritates it. And it sheds like crazy, too! The first time I used it it started to shed - they're made very poorly. I use this to lightly dust the mineral veil on my face, but that's it. If something were to happen to this brush I wouldn't repurchase it.

Edit: I have a love-hate relationship with this product. I actually find that this brush gives me more coverage than the other brush I have been using without looking cakey, which I love, but it is still too scratchy. Regardless, I still wouldn't purchase this again.

I love this brush. Very soft and helps your makeup to lay even on the skin. Applys a good amount without putting too much on. Great for blending. I do wish that the handle was a bit longer. I have had my brush for like nine years and still looks and works great. I was my brushes with baby shampoo.

okay so this brush...this was one of my first true makeup brushes because i bought the getting started kit and that was my first real makeup. the brush is soft and a good quality brush. it is a great brush to buff the BE foundation out with. but i wouldnt say its a fluffy brush. its more of the full coverage powder brush (that will make skin flake if its dry) if your looking for a cheapish kind of powder brush to buff mineral foundation out with then this is the brush. i wouldnt recommend this brush as a makeup powder setting brush if you get what im saying
