Having asian eyes, I thought this wand would be good for getting to the corners and catching my shortest lashes.

The wand is so tiny, and not much product catches on it, so I need to coat several times, which dries the product out and looks clumpy. The wand is also really flimsy. The best way to apply the product was clumping iton from the tip, then combing tit out with another mascara brush.

The formula is probably good, but would benefit from a better wand.

PROs
- L'oreal formua possibly good

CONs
Brush is useless

I love this mascara. I use it underneath Lash Stiletto to get a perfect lash every time. This mascara is great at separating and capturing in inner and outer corners. It does not give volume as much as it gives lift and length. When I top it with the Lash Stiletto I find I get a very intense, gorgeous lash.

I had to take off a lippie since I have to apply another mascara on top of this to get it to work for me. It also takes a lot of time and work to apply this mascara so I don't wear it much on its own/everyday. Just when I want to rev up my the more natural look I get with Lash Stiletto.

Good buy if you are willing to work for it.

I always heard this wasnt a good mascara but couldnt resist the 75% clearance at CVS and thus i have no problems throwing it out or letting it settle into drawer anonymity. Its very dry and clumps and is awkward to use. Its hard to build up any type of volume or length. The shape is a total gimmic, not sure how the Givenchy one actually applies but im not a fan of the concept so wouldnt splurge and try.

I bought this from the sale bin at the drug store and was pleasantly surprised that it actually does separate and lengthen the lashes. It gives no volume at all, but it can be combined with a volumizing mascara for the ultimate lush, full and long look. It takes careful attention to use the tiny round brush and it can be difficult without a magnifying mirror. But if you have time to be super careful, you can build up really long separated lashes like a starlet. I don't it every day. Just when I feel like spending more time on my makeup. I don't know if I would buy it again once it dries up, but I put "yes" because I like it, as it's unique.

Update: Sept. 26 - I now use this every day to separate the lashes after using other mascaras in my layering technique to build volume plus length. It works very well and feels like just the right finishing touch. No other brush separates them quite as well.

I honestly do not understand the bad reviews. I love this mascara. It can get a little clumpy but that's why you need to wipe off the wand and tip. It's great for getting those hard to reach inner and outer corners. You can also use it to apply mascara on your whole eye, but that would take a little while longer than putting on regular mascara. I personally love this mascara, and will re purchase it.

I really don't have anything bad to say about this mascara. The wand helps get the lashes on the outer corners of my eyes, and most other mascaras I've tried don't do that for me. It doesn't clump, and I feel that it makes my lashes longer, which is something else most others don't do for me. It doesn't help curling though, so if you're looking for curl this isn't for you. I put three lipsticks price wise bc it wasn't cheap, but under $10. But id buy this again.

This is cool for detailing and getting those lashes that you can't get to, but not so good to do lashes alone. It's a little hard to control, and takes long because it's a little ball. Also, the blackest black is not too dark. It's a little on the grey side.

This mascara is terrible. If i could have given it a zero, I would. It clumps, flakes, runs, and overall just turns my lashes into a wet mess. It was given to me by a friend so I didn't waste money on it, but I recommend ANY mascara but this one. Seriously. I am so disappointed L'Oreal! will not be buying again.

I've purchased this mascara about a year ago but I don't remember whether it was the red tube or the blue. Im sure I've owned both at some point. This is the 3rd tube I've owned, and I think that Loreal changed the formula. My current tube is not as lengthening as I remember this mascara to be. I still really like it though just for the wand. It really separates and defines my lashes. I'll be picking up the blue packaging next time. Maybe it was just the formula in the red tubes that are like this..

This mascara is awful. It could simply be the formula of the mascara, as it is just as bad as the normal telescopic one. But the little ball brush makes it even worse. The packaging is cute, I'll give the company that, but otherwise, an awful product.

i was scared to use it at first because of the sphere wand, but it's actually easy to use!
sometimes it does kinda hurt your lashes since the wand is pointy, and also can be very clumpy.
it does flake throughout the day, but I don't really use it alone, i'll put on a mascara and then use this for more definition and also on my bottom lashes and it works great!
I won't repurchase because I don't want to buy a mascara only for touch-ups, but it's still a great mascara, just not on its own!

This mascara was just ok, not a trainwreck, but I have owned better mascara in my lifetime. The brush is what caught my interest, but now I realize that the traditional brush is something I feel really gives my eyes that pop.

One of the worst mascaras that I've ever tried! I was intriqued by the different style applicator (as others have described it, like a "Medieval Ball " i.e. a Mace), and I've seen some postive reviews, so why not give it a try?

First off, the "Mace" applicator takes a bit of getting used to - I've found it best to start at the very base of your lashes and go up vertically. Do NOT use this in a horizon back and forth motion (talk about clump city). Applying it vertically (and making sure the applicator didn't have excess product on it) gave me nice lenght without clumping. Applying more than one coat risks getting clumps, so if you want to add coats, have an eyelash comb or clean spoolie handy.

While the "Mace" worked great for my upper lashes, I found applying the mascara to my lower lashes difficult to do without making a mess, which is a minus.

And speaking of "a mess", I found that this mascara both flaked AND smudged something awful. The flaking seems to start within 4 hours of application, and the more coats, the worse the flaking (but it even flaked with one coat). And within 6 hours, I had the dreaded black smudges under my eyes. Yuck! Sorry, L'Oreal, you scrwed up big time with this mascara!

After tyring mostly high end mascaras, I decided to go out on whim and try a drugstore brand. Maybe every six months I'll pick out a mascara from a drugstore for the heck of it. This one is acutally pretty decent. If your are going for fullness, or thickness this one probably isn't for you. The best thing about it is how much it lengthens your lashes and it how cleanly the application goes on your lashes. Also, it gives you a really dark lash. It is great for me, because I have naturally light lashes. Would I purchase this again? I put yes, because its a quick go to, if you are out of a mascara you typically like to use. In my case I was using Mufe, and it was getting dull, so I picked this up real quick at the store. All in all, decent product.

Really good mascara, adds a lot of length and volume. A good price too. A little bit clumpy, but the one i use is a little old, so I'm not sure. Worth buying.

When I saw the brush on this I thought how genius I have to try it. What a disappointment. Like others said it is thick & clumps my lashes together. Its like too much product is on the brush & it just clumps them together. The more I try to seperate them the more product gets coated on my lashes without ever putting the applicator back in. In other words I will never repurchase.

Honestly, I hate this product. It's the worst mascara I have ever tried. First of all, it's really confusing to maneuver around my eyelashes and I kept hitting my self in the eye with the spikes. Second, it is SO clumpy. All my lashes were clumped together and they looked like little spider legs. Lastly, It was really gooey and sticky like. If I accidentally got a little on my skin, I would try to remove it and it just kind of blended into my skin so it left me with this random black blob that just wouldn't come off. I really hated this product, It was a waste of money.

Clumpy, glumpy, flakes and is impossible to get off. Although it doesn't smear!

I got this mascara because I liked the way the brush was designed, however when I tried the formula I was extremely disappointed. It's gunky and thick and clumpy and made my eyelashes look awful. I threw it away immediately but used the brush with my other mascaras and saw much better results. It really gives a nice fanned-out look and even gets the tiny lashes in the corners. The brush is pretty flimsy, though. I'll probably be throwing it away soon, too, but it's driving me too get more spiky-ball mascara wands.
