Not bad for the price, but I don't see it as a drugstore favorite that I'd come back to time and time again. Too boring. I'd rather get Smith's Rosebud Salve, which now comes in tube form as well.

MMMMMM I looove the way this smells and tastes, I'm not a fan of the cherry or the original but this is sooo yummy. I love how great this feels on my lips, it's so cooling and tingly and smoothing. I have dry lips from Matte lipsticks and whatnot and within a couple hours of wearing this it really repairs my lips and helps make them supple and full. I love wearing this alone because it's so glossy, it looks like I have lipgloss on :) I also love wearing this over my lipsticks because it makes them look much more full and glossy, but not too shiny, just a pretty sheen. Overall my favorite lip product, I put this on several times a day, and I love the tube and how easy it is to bring with me everywhere. Definitely repurchasing!

Smells and tastes wonderful. Great for very dry lips prone to cracking.

I'd hate to say No about buying this again, but I'm not exactly sure.... It will depend on how positively or negatively Carmex affects my lips. I just started using it.

On the one hand, this product is really nice. I bought it on sale @ my local drugstore & though the mix of menthol & strawberry scent results in a bit of an odd smell, it's strangely enjoyable too....medicinal yet fruity, lol.

I really love the glossy shine this product gives on my lips. It keeps them moist, comfortable, protected, smooth. And it lasts surprisingly long...doesn't wear away quickly like I expected. This is a great ointment.

Then on the other hand, Carmex contains phenol, which straight up is caustic to skin & mucous membranes - I imagine this would explain the number of reviewers who said that overuse of Carmex dried out or burned their lips & gave them blisters or bumps. I think a few chalked it up to the menthol, but I believe it's the phenol that's causing the problems. Happily, the Carmex hand lotion & cream don't contain phenol. Why in the world would a company put phenol in a lip product??

That said, I'd use this product occasionally (only as needed) rather than daily or regularly. I tend to be a glossy lipgloss girl anyway, & I use those far more often than any lipbalm (even my fave lipbalm Dr Pepper LipSmacker).

This product works, but at what cost really?

I bought two of these at Walgreen as they were on sale. It definitely does an awesome job at moisturizing and protecting lips and I like the glossy finish, but I hate the taste...too mediciney.

I like that this can be used on it's own or as a gloss. The smell and taste is great.Works like a charm every time. I keep it in my bag all year round. An it's cheap but not cheap as far as quality.

Eh... I Like the smell, but hate the Taste... DX
and its a bit less moisturizing the the original.
The regular Carmex tastes Better too.
But I like the SPF 15 though, I just wish it tasted better.

I have 2 of these Strawberry Carmex in the squeeze tube as backup lip balms when I cannot locate my current ones. Every couple of weeks, I'll dig it out of my nightstand to use so these 2 have lasted me a long time.
I'm not really a big fan of Carmex, but this one always looks so cute with the strawberry. It doesn't smell amazing, but the strawberry scent does make it better for a few moments (when I'm actually paying attention).
The lip balm seems to work at moisturizing. It doesn't feel waxy, but I don't think it lasts very long on me.
Having SPF 15 is a nice addition.

During the winter I have really bad dry lips, and they get chapped so bad they are painful. I have very sensitive skin, and sometimes lip sticks and glosses can bother my lips, so during the winter I stay away from lip sticks and gloasses. But I've always used Cherry ChapStick, but this year, for some reason it wasn't doing the trick, so I went out and bought a tube of this. I had always hated the smell and taste of regular carmex, but I thought I would give this a try since it's strawberry, and I couldn't be happier that I did! I only give it 4 lippies because it still smells and taste a little like carmex, which I still hate, but it works wonderfully. I like it so much I went out and bought more to keep in my purse. I has helped my chapped lips so much, they are soft and mouisturized! I would tell anyone with terribly chapper lips to go out and get some of this! Plus, it only cost me $1!

I've always heard good things about carmex and I decided to finally try this. Well I must admit, it does the job at moisturizing and healing but I kind of can't stand the taste it gives off. The scent just lingers in my mouth and yuck! For such a good product why does it have to smell and taste so icky?

Carmex is wonderful. I've used everything before... Blistex, Burts Bees, Chapstick.... nothing has ever "sunk in" so well and actually moisturized my lips. Not greasy or waxy feeling.... My lips fee wonderful. They are soft and flake free (a major thing, since this a typical cold New England winter). I'm so glad I found this, but wish I had tried it sooner. I think it smells good, no weird taste, and it seriously works. Love it.

I use this lip balm all year long. Like all Carmex lip treatments I love it to death. It protects my lips from long, cold, mean winter months, as well as dry, hot summer days. It looks glossy and nice on without being sticky. It leaves a tingly, cooling feeling on my lips and smells really nice as well. +++ for SPF 15 :)

I can't live without this! Unlike other lip balms (Chapstick like) that just sit on your lips this actually sinks in and moisturizes. On top of that it gives a great shine, perfect for when your lipstick is fading and you don't feel like reaplying. Smells great and the scent is not overpowering at all. A++++++

This works okay if you already have pretty healthy lips and just want a sheen layer on top. Other than that, if you have slightly cracked or dry lips, this will just sit on the top of your skin. It doesn't sink in and moisturize.

Also, for some strange reason, the tube keeps splitting. The gunk gushed all over my purse!

I really like this product. There are just so many lip balms out there but this is cheap and it really works. Its not as great as the original. The original is really thick and works like magic. I have both! The original flavor bothers me slightly so i break taht one out when my lips are in some serious trouble.!!!

I was glad to see that carmex finally brought the strawberry to the tube. It's perfect for the winter time. I can just reach into my pocket and glide it across my lips(easy access). This lip balm sort of has the original carmex smell with just a hint of strawberry. The strawberry scent is very mild. The texture is thinner than the original one, but still does a good job at keeping my lips smooth. It gives a good tingle ( im not sure if it's the menthol or the spf). The tingle actually helps the blood flow in my lips, enhancing it's natural color. This does a good job at moisturizing, but once I wipe the product from my lips, it tend to be slightly dry underneath. I think that's due to the camphor in the product, or this cold weather I'm in. But I still like this lip balm, although I am addicted to the original formula (i just can't say no to that one). I will difinitely be repurchasing this one along with the original one.
