I can't really explain what my hopes were when I was buying this eye cream, because I just had the idea that I should start wearing one ("It's time," I thought, casting an internal eye over my 23 years and my new paycheck) and the Shiseido SA directed me to this one as it was "on sale." I didn't realize how much money I would be spending even at a reduced price, and it definitely effects how I view the results. I don't have any wrinkles yet, but I worry about it because I have very sun-sensitive skin and can never get sunscreen all in my eye contour area (I tend to cry it away).
Speaking of crying: that's basically my big problem with my eyes. I cry easily from, you know, stress and sadness, but also from allergies and sensitivities (one point for this cream is that it doesn't make my eyes water, which is remarkable considering I have trouble with anything fragranced, and this is pretty fragranced). This, combined with an uneven sleep schedule and nights with too much alcohol and/or sugar, mean that I'm usually just kind of puffy and blue-ringed. This cream helps in the long run: it makes my eyes skin-colored again (even fairly immediately), and reduces the chances that I get really, grotesquely puffy from any indulgences/setbacks. One weird thing, which other people have noted, is that it actually makes you a bit puffier in the short term. I keep this in the fridge, which helps mitigate this effect, but it's still noticeable--I personally think it's a "healthy" sort of puffy, but I might just be fooling myself. I usually take too much product, as you need only the tiniest pinprick to cover both eye areas completely (making this eventually ALMOST cost-effective), so I usually run a little along my upper lip. The puffing effect is really obvious here, which is super-satisfying, since this is where I actually do have teeny tiny fine lines (teen smoker!).
This is a rambling review, but I think this is product is a sneaky sort of likeable rather than something I would wholeheartedly rave about. At first, I really hated myself for this purchase (leading to more eye puffiness, I guess) but I think it's been worth it for the flesh-colored eyelids WITHOUT concealer.

Another wonderful product from Shiseido. Instant plumping in a a pump-type container. I don't know how they do it, but their products work for me, hands down. I haven't purchased one that I don't like. I almost wish that wasn't true, because they aren't cheap. The good part is that they do last a few months so when I actually figure out how much a container costs per usage it's really not that bad. Especially if it's working. How many times do we buy products that don't work and we waste time and/or money?
Packaged in a pump that has a stopper also, Bio Performance Super Eye Contour is good for one pump for both eyes. The only downside is that you have no idea how much is left in the container. As I always say, when the pump stops pumping, I will disassemble the container to see just how much is left. (I've usually found anywhere from 10 days to 2 weeks left in these types of containers). I gave the packaging 4 lippies because the stopper keeps it super fresh and clean but it's a pump that you can't see through.
Within a minute of applying this hydrating cream, I saw a difference in my under-eye area. I saw an instant plumping effect. My fine lines instantly disappeared. I saw a firmness in my top eye area. My skin was hydrated and plumped and remained that way all day. The entire area was smoothed.
I alternate between Shiseido's Wrinkle Resist 24 for my eyes also. I think both work well for hydration, but Bio Performance is less hydrating than Wrinkle Resist. Bio Performance works better for firming and plumping. Each seems to work on slightly different issues, which is why I alternate using both. I like the way my skin feels and looks with Shiseido products.
I will definitely repurchase, and I will not go without. My skin deserves and has found what it needs. Now they've changed the packaging and introduced a new one called "Super Corrective Eye Cream". When I've finished this one, that will be my next purchase since this is no longer available. Ugh!

I've completely fallen in love with this eye cream and I'm on my second bottle. It's absolutely perfect for my dry under eye area as it's hydrating and wears extremely well under make-up without being greasy or heavy. One pump from the bottle provides the perfect amount of product to use under both eyes without waste. The formula is silky, moisturizing, absorbs very quickly, and contains beneficial antioxidants too. It's definitely pricey and I did a tonne of research before biting that big price tag, but overall I'm thrilled with this eye cream and would recommend it.

Good eye cream for night time. It does not serve a good base for concealer however it is very rich and beneficial at night. I find that I have to alternate with other eye creams because using this every night gives me little bumps.

Since turning 40, my skin has kinda lost that 'glow' I used to have--I'm not sure if it's my age, stressful life or what, but I don't feel like I look the way I did even 5 years ago.
So now I'm breaking away from my old tried and true stuff to venture into the 'age reversal' category...How time flies.lol
Anyways, I've been looking for my HG of eyecreams ever since that damn Yves Rocher stopped making the Wrinkle Fighting Concentrate--go figure they stop making anything that actually *works*.
So after going through six zillion products, I found on Beautypedia that this was one of their most highly recommended eye creams--Fab ingredients, good results, price wasn't too killer... So I bought some.
The bottle is awesome at keeping the product fresh and the ingredients from losing strength. The little hole the eye cream comes out of has a stopper that keeps air from getting in--brilliant!! Can't beat the Asian companies packaging--we could learn a thing or two because they are all on the cutting edge of packaging. So the bottle gets a rave review.
The eye cream is very moisturizing and does brighten on contact. Initially, if you use too much, it can look greasy--but either way, it settles in nicely and plumps up the eye area and really gives a pretty luminescence without being glittery or weird.
For a age-specific 'lifting' cream, it does a good job of walking the fine line of being moisturizing *and* lifting, without being overly dry or tightening so much it just emphasizes wrinkles...Something alot of products just can't do...they wind up being either moisturizing with no lift, or lift and tighten but are very drying. This is a very nice balance of the two, so don't expect to have botox-looking eyes because this product won't do it.
I love how nicely it helps my concealer to sink in and set without creasing. My eye area looks and feels plumper, more toned, and with a really pretty freshness that I haven't gotten from any products so far, including Kinerase.
I think I paid around $48 for this...Considering the size of the bottle which I think is about 1.5 oz, it's a pretty damn good deal! Most eye creams are less than an ounce, so if you break it down at the cost per ounce, this is a very good deal.
Only complaint is that Shiseido does test on animals--I do not agree with that, and hopefully we can work to stop it from happening in the future with the technologies being offered to them from PETA.
Overall, this is a stellar product and one I think most people would be very happy with.

I love this eyecream. The consistency is light enough and allows for concealer to go on nicely. The packaging is great - unlike other Shiseido eyecreams, the product in contained/unexposed and there is no need to dip your finger in a pot

I have been using this product for about a month and am not sure if it is rich enough for my needs.
When I put it on, my skin immediately looks great.
The texture of the cream in velvety.
Upon waking, my eyes area doesn't feel as moisturized as I like.
However, I will stick with this because after researching this cream on Beautypedia and on here...it seems to be a solid product.
Will keep you posted!

I did not have a good experience with this eye cream. I found it to be quite harsh for my sensitive/oily combination type skin.
This eye cream puffed out my eyes, not good, as it made my eyes puffier than normal. (It must do this to make wrinkles look smoother).
It also accentuated dark circles instead of making them less noticeable, and it made my eyes look and feel tired/irritated. The fragrance contributed to this as well, eye cream should not have added fragrance!
The other thing that was strange is that I had eyelash loss, as experienced by another reviewer here. Not sure whats going on with the eyelash loss as I had not experienced this before with any other eye cream. I always apply eye cream patting it in around the eye area and not too close to eyes, so I was not applying it near my eyelashes at all.
The only good thing about this eye cream was that it was moisturising enough and did feel smooth. I lasted about 3 weeks trialing this and was so glad that I had only paid for a trial size sample, I am now using this for the lip area as not to waste it. It did not deliver and in fact made my eyes look worse.
So for now its back to my Clinique Repairwear Eye Cream until I trial another brand. At least the puffiness and dark circles have gone and my eyes are no longer irritated.

I have been using this product for about a year and it was an unremarkable experience; as I do not suffer from significant dark circles or lines prior. But I recently realised that it must be doing its job, as when I slack off and not apply for a couple of days, my eyes do appear more sullen (dark and tired).

I wear contacts for years now, and with the use of this product, I have not seen any lines appearing yet, despite daily "tugging" of the lids to wear my contacts.

I won't claim this is my HG, as I still looking for something that will reduce my minimal rings to a zilch, though it is a decent eye cream (no milia seeds) and very rich that I only need a 1/2 pump for both eyes, each time.

I used a whole bottle of this eye cream for several months. I never had much issues with my eyes. I don't have bags or extreme dark circles or crow's feet. I did have slight shadows under my eyes prior to using this product. However, at the time I was using this, I was having a stressful time in school. This eye cream didn't do anything to help with the dark circles that became more prominent as the more stressed I got. For the price and hype of this product, I would have expected it to prevent my dark circles from coming on so strongly to a certain extent. Instead, during the course of using this eye cream, my dark circles just got worse. It's only pros are that it is a very moisturising eye cream and did not break me out or irritate my skin. Also, I suspect the packaging is unnecessary waste of plastic. I would not buy this again.

This is a HG beauty product for me. I've lurked on this site for ages and have never written a review, but for this product I feel I must as it has been the one staple in this beauty product junkies collection that I will buy over and over again. A few times over the past decade I've switched to another eye cream only to go back to this within a few weeks because of the wrinkles and puffiness returning to my eyes.

I've used this eye cream for almost 10 years. My sensitive skin never reacts to this. Other products cause redness and itching. When using this eye cream, the skin around my eyes is never puffy or lax, BUT..if I run out product and use a sample of another product for a few days I really notice a difference. Plus, it also seems to make the darkness under my eyes less noticeable.

Some people might think it is a "slight" bit on the greasy side, but then they might be using a bit too much. I use one full pump for both eyes morning and night. It's expensive but one container lasts for a few months.

My skin is very fair, green eyes and dark blond hair. This product works very well for me (and also my Sister - who switched from Chanel to this eye cream and now loves it too). I highly recommend.

This is the only eye cream I have ever bought more than once! It is my HG!!! Although I am young, I have dark circles, which I inherited from my mother's side of the family. It has not gotten rid of my dark circles (not that I expected it to), but it has faded them beyond my expectations. Now I use much less concealer, and I can often get by with only using my foundation. It makes the skin around my eyes so soft and supple. I can't comment on whether it works for wrinkles (since I don't have any... yet), however I think it's great for undereye circles, as long as you stay realistic and don't expect a miracle.

I adore this eye cream. I was using a kinerase cream before this and my eyes were looking worse and worse. I'm only 26 so I'm in more of a preventative stage than a corrective one. This eye cream is pretty light in terms of texture but I only need a tiny dot for both eyes. It doesn't give me milia which I am prone to. I really feel like it protects my eye area. I've been using it for almost a year now and I have noticed a softening of the teeny smile lines around the outer corners of my eyes. This preps the area perfectly for concealer too although I've noticed that my circles aren't as prominent as they used to be (this could be from a lot of things but I think this has helped). The other awesome thing about this is the price. Looking at comparative brands or even other eye creams from Shiseido this one is pretty affordable at 55.00. I'm very happy with this product and don't feel the need to search elsewhere. I think it will continue to help prevent wrinkles. Also, remember how I said I only need a tiny dot? I'm just now, after almost a year, running out. Win.

This product was horrible. I had high hopes for this - I have heard such great things about Shiseido but I guess I can only use their cosmectics. Not only did this make my eyes puffy but it made lines under my eyes even more prominient. I was using this cream as a preventtive measure - I don't have wrinkles around my eye yet, but this thing aged me! I have stopped using it and the puffiness around my eyes has already went down and the lines are decreasing as we speak. This reaction makes me nervous to try any other eye cream!

I tried to like this and in the beginning I actually did. It is very hydrating around my eyes BUT it seems to leave a film over my eyes which makes it hard for me to see. It actually got so bad that I thought that I needed reading glasses. Live and learn wont buy again and I am returning my second bottle... the search begins again ugh!!!

Update: I am trying to keep away from eyes and it's much better. I tried MAC fast response and it made my eyes worse when they were starting to look better. I decided to keep the shiseido in conjuction with cetaphil my eyes are nice and plump with no obvious lines.

I do have a special place in my heart for this product. It comes in a pump bottle with a little flip cap on the opening of the pump! But that's just one reason I love this eye cream. It is extremely hydrating without being greasy and never causes milia. I use one small dot of this at night only. With eye creams I use at night, I like to be able to see where I've put it and not look and say "where'd it go?" At my age, I need a lot of moisture and replenishing in this area. This does leave a nice veil of moisture, absorbs well, and has never caused puffiness. I would think you could apply it well before makeup if you want this much moisture in the daytime, or apply even more sparingly. I am sensitive to fragrance and cannot use many of Shiseido's products. (My other favorite eye cream is Estee Lauder's Verite in the tube) Only problem now is, my teenage daughter has taken to using it, and it's quite expensive. She smiles with her eyes, like me, so is noticing little lines already. No need for this yet, though. Highly recommended nourishing eye cream!

Before to review this eye cream i want it to use for one month, then i couldnt decide it,if is is good..i didnt had any real change, but now i just finish it the tube.I use it this eye cream every night for the last 3months.I want to be honest and say,i used so many brands and always expensive, with so huge expectations and same was with this super eye cream.
I have few nice things to say like: this eye cream is for all eye areea use,for eyelids too,no problem with migration, the texture is very nice, not too heavy also not too oily.I could use it without any iritations and i do have very sensitive eyes.I also like it how easy is to apply and just a pea size for each eye,so the 15ml tube can be enough for 1year.Also this is having retinol who can help in fine lines.
I didnt got any milia after 3months,like other Shiseido gave me.
This eye cream i like it more then other eye creams,is really basic, for woman after 30,for normal to dry skin and i had some good changes in bags and "tired' eyes. This is great to use for the very first wrinkles.I doubt for this beeing good for real wrinkles.
I decide to dont buy it again becouse it didnt helped me in wrinkles and i am really dissapointed seeing exactly same ,maybe more lines under eyes. For yesterday i start to use another eye cream from Shiseido i had it before and i like it.
Maybe now is the age when i realise nothing will stop the wrinkles, but still..i can't stop hoping. What else i can do then..beeing always in hunt for antoher eye cream? :-)))
Right now i got another eye cream but i am not sure in future i will not comeback at this product.
Just 4lipies only becouse..the fine lines look same like 3month ago..not even a tinny change.

It's not a miracle eye cream, but an honest, well designed basic eye cream. I would have given it 4.5 stars if I had the choice. It does its basic job pretty well. Pump bottle design is perfect. It's hygenic, and one pump is just right for both eyes - like the instuction tells you. The cream itself is rich enough to smooth out fine lines, but not too rich so it doesn't give my spots or puffy eyes (well, slightly after a night). Takes a little while to sink in (any cream of that texture would do that on my skin, so I can't blame it), so eye shadow has to wait. But I've tried plenty of high end eye creams, some are more than double the price. I don't think they perform signficantly better than this one. So I am going back to this one. As other reviewers said, it is probably more suitable for medium to dry skin type.
