Salsa is a beautiful colour when swatched. When I apply it on my lips, it looks like a gross fluorescent neon pink colour on my light pale yellow Asian skin. Luckily, blotting and reapplying it twice reduces it to a gorgeous rosy warm-toned pink colour that suits me extremely well and also makes it last longer. I need to put lip balm over the top because it's a bit drying after being blotted.
In terms of longevity, it lasts 3-4 hours without eating but it definitely needs to be reapplied after eating light meals and after drinking liquids other than water. Salsa leaves a even rosy pink stain after eating which is great - I hate having the dreaded "white ring" in the middle of my mouth which I always get from Rimmel lipsticks after eating. The scent is also quite pleasant to me, but of course it may not suit everyone's taste and I'm not highly offended by most cosmetic scents.
The packaging is typical Australia: black with stylish pink highlights - just gorgeous. The lipstick also has SPF 15 (love, your lips need sun protection too!).
It's not as long-lasting as Face of Australia's Lip Quench in Peaches & Cream and is more expensive at $12.95. However, it's still a great lipstick with excellent colour payoff and reasonable lasting power.
EDIT (17/04/14): Dropped my rating down to 2. After experimenting with both low-end and high-end lipsticks, this lipstick really isn't worth a 4/5. I can't stand how this smears outside my lip line and makes my lips SO dry even with lip balm on. There are MUCH better lipsticks out there. Tossed into the bin.

I quite like Australis as a "cheaper" alternative to a lot of makeup brands. I really liked their Colour Max range until it got discontinued, so I figured I'd try out the new lipstick.
Salsa was the best colour offered, its a vibrant rich pinky coral. I absolutely LOVE the colour, it's just an absolute shame it won't stay on my lips. It drys my lips super fast leaving all the wrinkles visible. The formula is just all wrong. It smells like that cheap makeup/crayon. I was quite disappointed, save the $A12.95 and instead pay a little more for a Revlon lipstick.

This is one of the most intense, unpearled and great colour lipstick that I have come across at chemists. It outdoes most of drugstore brand lipsticks in terms of its intensity. It applies like a matte lipstick - slightly sheerer to the MAC amplified range. At the same time it has a moisturising quality and a bit of fragrance which I do find good. It is a coral pink/red with a bit of warm undertone to it. The colour compliments my warm skin tone - NC 25. Worth every cent of my money spent.

Colour Inject Mineral Lipsticks are a new line for Australis in a range of mainly very bright colours. Salsa is a warm bright pink that would suit people will yellow undertones to their skin, or people with olive skin or darker skin tones. It can be worn full strength or applied lightly for a pretty daytime look. I bought it on special for $9.95AU but it normally sells for $12.95AU. It has a fairly creamy opaque finish and is a tiny bight drying, use lipbalm first. I have put that I will rebuy but considering how rarely I will use this lippie by the time I've finished it, something better may well have come along.
Edit - I have worn this now for three days and have lowered my rating as this has absolutely no staying power and is somewhat drying.
