Hmmmm, after using this moisturiser for about 4 months, I feel the time is ripe to write a review about it....
I have combo/oily skin (depending on what I have that eaten that day it seems paha) and it is quite sensitive too.
I was looking for a moisturiser that was gel (for some reason I think these agree with my skin more) and that would help me with my acne which I seem to have suddenly got since leaving teenagerhood :( so I was looking around and this one seemed to tick all the boxes, so I thought I would try it out!
The pros:
-It has the most gorgeous smell! It is a bit clinical and like sun cream smell but for me its a winner!
-I do agree with previous reviews that it is a good base for make up if you put it your makeup whilst it is still sinking in.
-It does give a somewhat matte effect.
-I think the packaging if of a high quality, and I like how the hole it comes out of its small and doesn't collect old dried out bits around it!
-It has all of the antibacterial, non-comedogenic, 2% Lactic Acid Follicle Targeting system which is great......if it works for you....
So the cons:
-Erm, it hasnt worked for me? I swear since I have been using this (and I have given it a good chance to works its magic, way past the 3 weeks the product claims) my spots have gotten worse!! Also, they are a different type of spot now, and they are in places on my face where I have never really got spots before (such as ALL OVER my cheeks). wahhhh :'(
-In effect it is a cream, not a gel. This was one of the winning factors for me so I was a bit disappointed when I peeled off that silver lid all excited and found...a cream. Not happy.
-It does have a matte effect, but this is because it drys my skin out to to such a degree it goes matte!! Sometimes my nose has even peeled.....
-....But then after a couple of hours the matte effect disappears and I am left with an oily peeling nose with blotchy makeup which just loves to highlight all of my pores.
-Due to this drying effect my skin seems dull :(
-It is a tad bit expensive. I do not mind spending a bit more money for a product that actually does what it says, but when it doesn't I feel a bit cheated to be honest.
Now I am sure that this works for a lot of people, as it has done for a lot of people who have reviewed it before me :) But for me, it just wasn't working for some reason, so its back to the long long search for my HG moisturiser.
.

i was searching for an oil free face cream for my oily and acne prone skin because i saw the necessity even though i always use an oil free foundation, but my daily creams, even though speacial for acne skin, lacked that feature. first of all, it has a creamy texture (not gel) and smells like soap! but it smoothes the complexion (lactic acid 2%) and the results are really visible. also, it is a great primer! be aware though, it doesnt keep your face matt all day long, but i guess it is better this way because you know that it doesnt clog the pores. just use oil blotting sheets and it will not be a problem. thumbs up for this cream! update: i lowered one lippie because i find it too heavy to use it every day. i think it would work better if it was really a gel, and not a cream

Would I repurchase this product? Well I already have. I'm acne-prone, oily, combo and dehydrated all at the same time. I rotate my skincare products on a day to day basis and never stick to a brand for long. But then I ended up buying this cream on a whim one day and have surprisingly grown to love it. It is now my go-to moisturiser.
The benefits of this cream are that it's non-pore blocking, has antibacterial ingredients, unclogs pores (2% lactic acid) and is also suitable for sensitive skin.
The downside is that unlike some creams (Lancome Hydra Zen for example) it doesn't leave your skin feeling super soft and supple. But I'm ok with that. Instead, your skin is rather matt and there is this fresh almost after-shave type scent that lingers, my skin feels clean and invigorated. And Ive started to prefer this at times because after I finish my skincare regimen I always feel like 'aaahh'.. my skin just feels CLEAN and healthy. I do, however, occasionally switch back to my Hydra Zen occasionally if my skin is extra thirsty. And my boyfriend also loves this cream - surprising given he shies away from all of my other products I try to give him, so I guess the texture/smell of this definitely makes it boy-friendly.
I also quite like this under my make up. It has pretty much replaced my primer. My skin doesn't agree with those silicone-rich primers that make your skin feel like silk. My foundation would ALWAYS melt off and coupled with my already oily skin - my foundation always ended up patchy and melted after a working day. And water-based primers never did anything at all. Now with this cream, I LOVE that weirdly matt and sticky texture it leaves. I like how it GRABS my foundation and I feel so confident knowing that my foundation wont be melting off any time soon. It keeps my skin balanced. Of course I would love that dewy supple glow, but I know that with my skin, dewy = smudgy disappearing foundation. So I'll stick with the matt look for now.
I haven't given it 5 lippies because I still get occasional breakouts. Im currently on a low dose of Retin A (0.025%) and my acne is quite mild at the moment (a couple of tiny pimples here and there) - but I've been using this for about 2 months and if it truly delivered in it's promise to clear skin in 'three weeks', then my skin should be clear by now.
Nevertheless, this is a good cream if you are looking for something reliable and safe, that you know will not break you out, and won't be harsh on your skin. So if you're sensitive and acne-prone this would be ideal. I've tried La Roche Posay and Vichy amongst others, but this has worked the best so far on my skin. I've given up looking for a 'miracle' cream to cure my skin of all its imperfections. All I want is a cream that maintains the health of my skin and doesn't aggravate it, and this does exactly that.

This is a range by Eucerin that is targeted for blemish-prone skin. Therefore, I would assume that it is more suitable for oily skin.
I didn't like the fact that this moisturiser sorta mattifies my skin, making my skin look lack lustre. I consider my skin more to normal-dry, therefore, it made applying makeup cumbersome (makeup doesn't glide on easily, and streaks show up). However, it didn't break me out either.
Prolly would be perfect for ppl with oily skin or if you used a hydrating serum prior to moisturiser.

I don't understand this product - I have combo oily skin with blemish problems so was looking for a light moisturiser that would help with problem skin.
This is advertised on Eucerin's website as a moisturiser but it sucks every element of moisture from my skin, not in a nice mattifying way but in a dehyration way. I actually feel as though my skin is shrivelling up when I put it on and it feels sticky.
I'm not sure if it helps with blemishes in the long run as I cannot stand to keep putting it on my face.

It was not very oily and it's the best cream I've used. Others would cause me more pimples but this product calms my skin although sometimes it is not strong enough to cure pimples. Overall, it is really worth it.

I am a 29 yr old male suffering from ecezma and mild acne due to extreme combination skin (dry + oily), tried many moisturizing / cleanser products but none are really suitable and some even makes matter worst. Nevertheless, under the persuation of one of the Eucerin promoters, I relectantly gave this a try and ever since I can't do without it everyday. It not only treats my acne problems, of course not completely but to a good certain extent, most importantly keeps my facial ecezma under control too. About 4 years ago, I start developing reddish patches on my cheek and it got worst every year, for awhile, I literally sit around without doing anything to savage the problem until the condition goes out of hand. As a man, I find it quite bothersome to apply moisturizer on my face 2 - 3 times aday but thankfully a least there is a product out there that alleviates my problem.

I have oily skin that gets oily within the first 2 hours after washing. I was looking for a good oil-free, lightweight moisturizer that's frangrance free. After using this for a month, I can say it doesn't break me out, and seems to control oil only very slightly. It leaves a semi-matte finish after application. However, it can feel a little heavy sometimes. To beat this, I spray my face with evian water, wait awhile, then apply a tiny amount. This makes it absorb much better. A tiny amount is needed to cover the whole face. Avoid putting too much on, as it can feel heavy. Overall, very affordable, and can last a long time.

This is excellent for blemish prone skin. Clears my ezema (sp?) during the time of the month too.

I have used up two of this and am on my third one now. This works so amazingly on my Asia acne-prone skin. Much better than the LRP E-K products.
It helps clearing my clogged pores when I had used it for like three weeks to a month and my pores are much smaller. I am using it now to control new breakouts by spreading a very generous amount of it on any potential breakout, which will just fade after a night or two. During night, I will put on a thick layer of the product evenly on the entire face, avoiding eyes. It works very well.
The cons of this product is that after it dries on my face, there will be like a muddy residue over the face - this may be due to my generous application. But it does create problems if I put sunscreen, e.g. Sofina very very cut SPF24, over it. But otherwise, this is an amazing and effective product for acne-prone skin.
Sadly, this is not available in the US. I bought mine from my home country and decide to accumulate more.
Highly recommend~!

This is really good for acne-prone skin.Usually my skin is so sensitive it can't handle any anti-blemish products cause they all tend to dry out my skin or cause me to peel. This one is gentle on the skin and helps to matte out shine and clears my pores of the blackheads and whiteheads my t-zone is so prone to. I apply this to my t-zone after my toner. So far my skin has been able to agree with Eucerin products. This is oil-free and fragrance-free. It is very light and immediately gets absorbed. No sticky feel or dryness at all. Just a nice comfortable matte finish yet skin feels hydrated. I took out one lippie because I wish it had been able to shrink my pores.
