I love this body butter. This is one of the few fragrances that other can smell on me.It is a spicy scent. I will be getting this again soon.

Korres, how could you?? As a huge fan of korres, I of course was so excited to try this scent, it sounded so yummy. I honestly do not think that anyone would like this scent. When I opened my body butter, I thought that it had to be a mistake, like I got a bad batch, but the other reviewer described it accurately. Pros: beautiful packaging, nice consistency. But alas, the scent is murder. I am using mine up on my feet at night so I won't have to smell it. Try quince or guava, they are my hgs. (also try the lip butters, also hgs)

I love Korres Body Butters... they are really moisturizing (almost as much as my HG Kiehls' Creme de Corps), contain lots of natural oils, no mineral oil/petrolatum, and smell delicious. Usually. I got caught up in the sale code hysteria and scored what I thought was a great deal on full size Vanilla Plum Body Butter, Bath gel and Lip Butter.
Then, I smelled it. There is a hint of vanilla, and not really any plum to speak of, unless you are thinking in terms of spicy plum pudding type of plum. The scent is generally sweet and spicy, vaguely Christmas-y in that frankincense and myrrh exotic way. It reminded me of something I couldn't quite put my finger on. Then I realized. The smell is that of a Hallmark store in the late 70's or 80s, when they were chock full of candles and sachets and the fruity dessert type fragrances had not yet hit the market.
I'll keep this and probably finish it, because it's a fantastic moisturizer. The smell, while not my favorite (like Jasmine, Quince... or why won't they release an Almond Body Butter?) is sort of sentimental. But sale or no, I wouldn't buy this Vanilla Plum again.
