This is a great pencil! It's a soft champagne shade that's perfect for the inner eye. It's also the world's greatest highlighter. I dot it on along my brow bone, make a few "scribbles" on the tops of my cheekbones, and then quickly blend it out with my fingertips. I've been searching for the perfect non-powder highlighter and I've tried all the usual suspects—NARS, Benefit, YSL, etc.—and find they either a) are difficult to work with, and/or b) have no staying power. The precision of this pencil makes it very easy and, as long as I go over it with my fingers right away, it blends out beautifully. I can see 23L reaching "can't live without" status.

This is the absolute worst champagne/nude/waterline "brightener" I've ever used. Complete waste of money. Did NOT show up at all on the waterline - in fact it irritated my eyes because I went over it more than once. Stila Topaz is the way to go. This stuff is crap.

I use this to highlight my lower waterline and it just works fine! Recommend for those going to the pool, beach, or any water exposed environment. This is the most waterproof eyeliner I've tried (I have Chanel and Bobbi Brown) even though it is not so easy to apply. The downside is the texture is a way too thick which make me hard to apply them easily over the waterline.

For comparison purpose:
I have another shade which is dark brown (can't recall the shade number...) and their Aqua Cream in 16 Pink Beige. Both of the eyeliner works the same while the Aqua Cream which I want to apply on my eyelid previously is not working at all~It sets into my eyelids and crease...I end up using them as a waterproof blush on my cheeks~

The color is a great, it's a shimmery neutral champagne shade that's really suited for lining the waterline and the inner corners.

....however, maybe I've been spoiled too long by UD 24/7 liners, because this is noticeably less vibrant, goes on less smoothly, and doesn't last as long.

But until UD comes up with a peach/champagne toned 24/7 liner, I'll make do with this one.

This product is really great, i was searching high and low for a light pinky beige shimmery knolh to highlight the inner corners of my eyes and found this. I have medium skintones so this is great for me. Its also waterproof and stays all day. You do have to blend quickly as once its set, you can't move it. I lightly apply to the inner corners and blend to make it look more natural and love the effect. The pencil is soft so blending is very easy. Only downside is that its pricey.

Pretty color, but had the same experiences the reviewers below me had - had to go over and over to show up and didn't last. Don't waste your money.

I'm starting to think that all Make Up For Ever products are pretty much over hyped and over priced and this eyeliner is pretty much no exception. Like the reviewer before me, I also had a difficult time getting this to show up on my lids. I kept having to reapply. I had their Aqua Eyes in three colors and all them, the same problem. I also have the green one and it's smudged so bad, I had to wash my eyes and start over. I have way better luck with Cheap-o Drugstore liners than with this eyeliner and bbelieve me, I'm a high-end Makeup gal and when Wet n Wild is better than a $8 pencil, that tells you something.

If you want really good eyeliners,go with MAC or Lancome. Or if you want a cheaper one, Almay is always a good bet.

dislike!! on my eyes..i really had to keep going back & forth to get it to show up...it showed up a pinky champagne on my waterline..i feel it didnt really enlarge my eyes as much as products such as stila topaz or even cargo reverse liner..i expected much better results, esp for the price....returned this back to sephora!

Its awaful, the color itself is nice but the texture /payoff is baaaad. i bought it to use it to illuminate the inner corners of my eyes but the color does not come out evenly, in some places there is no color and other places there are chunks of shimmer..i had the blue pencil from aqua eyes and its ok, but this one really bad.

This is a great color for lining the waterline or the lower part of your eye to brighten them when you feel or look tired. I prefer this color over white because it looks more natural Also looks great on the tear duct area. Definitely a repurchase for me.

A true champagne color! Not too pink, not too white, not too gold, not too gray...a true champagne color (fleshy/beigey)! That was the first win. Second, this works heavenly for brightening up the inner corners of your eyes or you lower lash line (waterproof too). Since these were the two things I was looking for, this is full on 5 lippie win! Another note on the color, I swatched every similiar liner in Sephora and ALL of them came out gold, pink, white, silver or gray. None came out this fleshy champagne color, except this. I think everyone should have this shade just for that aspect alone...it truly is unique. FYI I am MAC NW20 black/brown hair, brown eyes.

I am a pale person, so I can get away with using a white liner on my waterline. However, I prefer this champagne/fleshy color as it does appear a bit more natural. Now, most liners do not stay very well on my water line as I am very allergy-prone and my eyes water a lot. MUFE and UD are the exceptions. This liner works for a few hours, which is pretty good for me!

This is an awesome eyeliner! Its a metallic pale pink/peach. Its super smooth and easy to apply, nice soft and gentle. I like to use it either on my water line or on the inner corner of my eyes. The pencil really brightens up ur eyes. It does have pretty good staying power, lasts a few hours given that you allow it to dry.
Very happy with it!

OK...I'm tanned. My eyes look off with white eyeliner. I bought this because champagne liner instead of white eyeliner is a good waterline color other than white if I want to look more awake. I really do recommend champagne and tan liners other than white. It is a great product. I highly recommend it. (MAC NC42/43).

This was a replacement to my Shu pearly pink e/l pencil for under eye waterline to brighten up my eyes and inner corner of my eyes.

23L is a light peach, shimmery Champagne color eyeliner that is supposedly water resistant. It does last from morning to night on me. It does apply smoothly as well. This pencil size will last me for such a long time if it's just for inner corner of my eyes or under eye water line.

this eyeliner pencil does not deserve the low rating that it has now, so I am going to put in my two-cents' worth (usually I am too lazy to do so LOL)

this is by far the best pencil for using on the lower waterline, I love it much much more than the raved MAC Fascinating Eye Khol, and Stila Topaz Kajal liner, for that purpose. It is a shimmerimng beige colour, and with this on my lower waterline, it instantly gives me a doll eyes effect!! what not to love?

For a doll eyes look, I will apply MAC sugarshot/all that glitters/naked lunch all over eyelids, and this pencil on my lower waterline, put on some black eyeliner, and apply mascara ... and viola! I am ready to go!

This sucks for the purpose I bought it for.

I swatched it on my hand in the store and it was a beautiful champagne color with a creamy texture.

I thought it would glide on my waterline well because .. well.. The black version does.

But this doesn;t get on my waterline at all unless I put a lot of effort/force into it, which I don't want to irritate my eyes with. So I use it just like the reviewer before me, I put it into my tear ducts.

I can find a lot of other products that would do the same job at a better price and a better product.. So...

I won't be repurchasing this.

I purchased this with the intention of using it on my waterline... alas, it is the exact same colour as my skin and does not show up there at all! But it's great for around the tear duct and just under the inner corner of the eye, because it just adds a really nice sheen, with no extra colour. I've found that it stays put all day, something that seems to be rare in liners. I'm not completely enamoured with this, but I really like it and will most likely repurchase!

I bought this for my waterline but it is so translucent, it does no good. Also these will last forever if you apply them to your hand, but on your eyes is a different story for me. Also I don't think they apply well on moist areas like waterlines...better suited for clean dry skin.

i really like this pencil. I bought it because i wanted to put it on my waterline for that trendy not-as-harsh-as-white awake look. unlike topaz from stila this doesnt have an opaque consistency, but more like UD's yeyo, meaning i had to pass the pencil a few times for it to actually show up and make a difference in how my eyes look. it looks good but it did take a few swipes.
I love it in my tearduct, but i coulda just used an e/s that i already have (well a million e/s tbh LOL).
i love this as an e/s base though, that's for sure. it doesnt move and it serves as a great base for e/s to pop.
