I think this is the most expensive piece of makeup I own, but I got it for a very good price when I redeemed my hudson bay reward points, even then it was about $20.
I use the Perfection Lumiere liquid foundation and wanted something on top that would give my skin an even more flawless finish. Although my skin doesn't look 100% flawless, it's a lot better than using translucent powder on my foundation.
I like how this comes with a brush instead of the usual puff. It also comes with a sponge that you can wet, but I've never used the foundation with a damp sponge and don't intend on it either.
The oil control is pretty good as I get oily on my nose really easily.
Not really sure what else to say about it. It's my touch up powder, finishing powder on days that I want to look more flawless, has a slight floral scent but doesn't linger.

This is the Chanel Vitalumiere Eclat Comfort Radiance Compact Makeup SPF 10.
The coverage is light to medium depending on your method of application. It comes with a powder puff and an amazing brush that can both be stored in the compact. Personally I use my Sigma F80 to apply it layer after layer. It leaves a smooth soft-matte finish to the skin which never looks cakey. As the day goes on (and take note: my skin is OILY and I live in a tropical climate), the finish becomes a dewy glow and not oily. Best powder foundation I have ever used!

I am reviewing Vitalumiere Eclat Comfort Radiance Compact Makeup SPF 10 in B20 Beige Tendre.
Lovely packaging and comes with a foam pad and a broad brush applicator - so you can brush it on or pat it on. Non drying - good color .

I love this compact foundation so much <3 I have tried many brands such as Lancome, Mac, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier but I have to say Chanel made me stop trying another brands. If you have dry skin and nothing much to cover, this is suitable because it gave u a fresh and light look. It did not break my skin out even my skin is so sensitive.

This has almost no coverage, sits on super-powdery top of my skin, emphasizes dry patches, wears off quickly and the hinge broke inside my makeup bag with after less than 3 weeks with no unusual use. The best I can say is that it has a nice, big mirror and that it doesn't irritate my skin. Maybe this would be better as a regular pressed powder over a tinted moisturiser, but that's not how this is packaged and I've got a problem with misleading advertising.

My skin is dry and this powder is perfect, you can literally pile it on without looking cakey. Using alone yields minimum coverage but paired with YSL Touche Eclat fdn, they are a perfect match, well, for me at least.
I am NC 30 at the moment and I purchased B40, which is a tad too warm so I will save it for summer but I will return for the B30 tomorrow. Just wish it is not that expensive though.
BTW, I use a brush for application.

This is the ultimate HG powder foundation for my dry - normal skin! It is the only powder foundation that does not go on looking flaky, dry and cakey on my skin! This would be extremely useful for dry winter season! Its powder is extremely finely milled hence it looks very silky and goes on unnoticble on the skin. It is my daily foundation. With 1 light layer, I look so natural like I am not wearing any makeup with it. The coverage is light but buildable to medium. The faint rose scent, as of all Chanel products, is lovely. The powder foundation is to be used dry. It hardly oxidises hence it remains relatively fresh at the end of the day. Although it is pricey, a box can last me for a year or more! Chanel also has the Mat Lumiere range for oily skin. SOOOO satisfied with all the Chanel makeup/skincare products I've tried so far!

I would give it 4,5 if I was able to.
Like others said its very silky and unnoticble on the skin. You look so natural like you don't wear any makeup with it.
So I really like it overall.
The only downfall is that it can be melty when your skin is too oily.
Te package has an exclusive quality as usual. It comes with a brush and sponge.

being dry skin,it's hard to find a compact powder that's not drying while doing touch-ups.Vitalumiere does the job even on cold winter days.No dry patches to be found, only refreshed ,even skin.coverage is minor since it claims "young and fresh",but coverage can be achieved when using a dampened sponge, which I am not typically used to .Chanel's foundation color ranges are generally on the yellower and darker end so I had no hesitation picking the lightest shade in yellow undertone which is B10, and it turns out to to a perfect match.
the only thing I've found uncomfortble with this product is the scent.there's WAY too much fragrance in it.being a foundation ,smelling overly good is not necessary, but I assume this a Chanel-specialty.
for the high end price,I am glad that 13g of product is provided, but the lightweight plastic packaging is just not so elegant for Chanel.

unlike most girls that bought their chanel foundations and feel psychologically drawn to giving a positive comment to validate their purchases, i received a free sample. Hence, it might probably be less biased. The sample pack lasts pretty long as well.
when first applied, the foundation is extremely fine and well powdered, the application is smooth and even as well. but the appearance is powdery, so if you fancy the powdery feel, it might be suitable. there is also a light scent that is quite lovely.
however, the foundation doesn't last long (i didn't use a primer), and when i remove it at the end of the day, the colour is slightly oxidised. overall, the colour is good and it doesn't break me out.

I finally find my HG power foundation. When I say that, I am comparing to Guerlain Paure Gold and Paure regular, Chantecaille Compact Makeup, Estee Lauder DoubleWear, Cover FX, Dior powder foundation, Chanel Blanc Esstentials, Clinique Almost Power, MAC Studio FX, Laura Mercier, Shiseido (all kinds) and MUF Duo Mat etc.
First, B20 matches my NC25 skin perfectly. Second, the powder is creamy smooth, it is not cakey and dry. Third, compare to other powder foundation in the market, this powder foundation doesn't enhance the look of my pores as much. Forth, flexible coverage; the power foundation looks equally good either using alone (with disposable sponge) on top my concealer or on top of liquid foundation (with a brush) as a setting power. Fifth, long lasting (one touch up is good enough). Sixth, doesn't turn into darker or more orange shade. Seventh, very natural indoor or outdoor. Eighth, doesn't make me look like a ghost behind the camera.
It is a sheer to medium coverage powder foundation. So if you are looking for full coverage, u need to use concealer or foundation underneath.
I wish Chanel never discontinue this powder foundation.

This looks beautiful, very satiny finish, really made me look fresh and healthy at first. So stupidly I went and bought 2 more... I thought if it's that good, I will keep one compact at home, one in my gym bag and one at the office. Unfortunately after about a week of use this started to break me out! Boohoo. Oh well... back to MAC I go.

This is suitable for normal to dry skin. If u get oily real quick, this is not for you. It fades fast, and by mid day, my face is really shiny. It only works for me if I put something underneath, like an oil controlling liquid foundation, BB cream or tinted moisturizer. Coverage is sheer if u use the brush, but using the sponge it's buildable to medium at most. Love the color selections though, for reference I'm a mac NC20, and use B10. I would say give it try if u do not have oily skin and looking for a light coverage natural looking foundation.

I have finally bought this powder! After seeing great reviews and also wanting to purchase a chanel foundation product in the first place, i decided to place my order online and collect from the local department store.
First off, packaging is great as always, black case and white chanel logo in center, and comes with a velvet pouch (i loveeee). but im starting to think its feeling a bit too "cheap plastic" for some reason. i never thought of it with the quads and lipgloss but this compact when i first held in hand, it look good but felt a bit off.
Price wise? Its definitely expensive. At the moment by far the most expensive foundation i have bought to date. I had bought a Shu Uemura one at £34-36 before (liquid foundation) and thought that was wayyyy expensive!!! So, this chanel compact powder foundation at £44 has hit the high for me.
I have combination skin (oily t-zone and dry areas around the nose and mouth area) and it is also very sensitive. I originally bought this foundation to act as the powder over my normal liquid foundation. I applied this foundation on half my face (which i applied primer) and i must say, the coverage is light with a brush, but can be heavier when applied with the sponge... and the texture feels soooooo silky and soft! Like a velvet touch to the face! I was so impressed by this and instantly fell in love. I am so glad that you can buy refils at £30 because i would LOVE to purchase this product again, but at £44 i dont think i can afford to keep stocking up!
I bought the shade in B30 and indoors, it matches my skin tone very well, i havent tried outdoors yet but i have a feeling it may make me appear a little darker or orangey. However, I will be purchasing B20, one shade up some time soon as it is still winter and i believe the B30 can be used during summer time when I am slightly darker.

This product has been fantastic for me. I normally use a small amount of sheer foundation during the day. However, it tends to get a tad oily by midway through the day and doesn't always provide enough coverage for the freckles and odd pimple. That's where this Chanel powder comes in.
It's out-of-this-world soft and feels completely breathable. I didn't want to feel cakey, otherwise I'd have just bought a thicker foundation in the first place. But this is lovely and has definitely helped prevent oily spots developing in the T-zone throughout the day. I've never needed to reapply either, despite working in a very hot office!
I wasn't expecting to find a shade that suited me because I haven't had much luck in the past with some other brands. I have warm pale skin but the B10 Beige works perfectly for this. My only concern is that I'd have to apply a heck of a lot to get the coverage that I want if I was going to skip the liquid foundation underneath. I would not use this in place of my foundation (hence only four lipsticks). It helps make my skin look porcelain perfect without looking unnatural, so that's why I love it.

For a Chanel product, I am extremely disappointed. I heard a lot about the softness and silkiness of this foundation and that is definitely true. Feels like heaven going on but it just makes me look orange - the colour selections are horrid, the next shade lighter was way too light for me so I went with this one thinking it would be okay. I can only really use this in the summer when I'm at least a little bit tan to use this....
Also, the lasting power isn't great nor is the coverage - I still feel naked when I wear this..
I paid AUD $112 for it and it's one of my biggest regrets.

The foundation was pricier than I expected but since it's Chanel, I decided to overlook that factor.
I was introduced to this product through a family friend who worked at a Chanel counter. I had been looking for foundation for a while and grew tired of the mineral makeup way so I tried my luck with this. I received the small tester version of the foundation and tried it out for over a few months (at least four, if I'm not mistaken).
The coverage is pretty good. Covers up my pores but unfortunately doesn't do much for scars and dark spots, which was fine with me. I was however, impressed by its lasting power. I'm usually particular with how I blot at my face with tissue (sweat) or blotting paper (oil) yet despite dabbing at my face often, the foundation doesn't get wiped away much. The finish is matte and velvety to the touch, which I love. I've accidentally scratched my face a few times and the color still remained intact.
I'm happy with this find although I wish it wasn't so expensive. But since I don't often use my makeup, I think the fullsize will last me for quite sometime.

Nup, not for me. I'm a devoted powder foundation girl, and I used to work for Chanel, so I was excited about this foundation. Firstly, I had to layer it, layer it and layer it to get a medium coverage. When I finally did it was far to yellow for my uber PPP skin. This is too dark for anyone paler than a MAC 15. Secondly, I have smooth skin from years of Dermabrasion, IPL and more recently, Retin A, and this showed up blackheads on my nose that I never knew I had! It kind of sat on top and highlighted them somehow, weird. I will say though that is forgiving on very dry skin, and it does look polished [as long as you don't look too closely at my nose]. I can imagine a lot of people would love this foundation, it's just not suited to us very very pale girls.
