I'm pregnant and had to say good bye to my loving Retinol products for the time being! I was looking for something I could use until then.. I got this Vichy Aqualia Antiox lotion a week ago and use it at night. It makes my skin very soft, I haven't broken out (yet), but this is a good sign because normally if I'm going to break out it happens within a couple of days. Also, when I wake up in the morning my skin looks glowy (not just from pregnancy, since I started using it, more glowy!) and feels refreshed.

I used a sample packet of this product and was not impressed. My skin can be sensitive at times and this stung a little as I applied it, had a strong chemical sunscreen smell and had a greasy feel despite being a light cream. I didn't notice the scent hours later once it was dry but my skin still felt irritated and my t-zone became really oily, more than usual. The product itself has a light tint to it and if you look closely it has a gritty looking texture, but it applied smoothly. I wouldn't put this on my face again simply because it irritated it and felt too greasy, but it would probably be an okay product for someone with less sensitive, dry skin.

This is great for a summer lotion - the sun protection is decent, it sinks in quickly and is not greasy at all. The fragrance is light and doesn't linger, and the tint is hardly noticeable so no problems with colour matching. The product also does not cause any reaction on my sensitive skin and does not make me break out.

I've taken one lippy off as unfortunately it's just not hydrating enough in the winter for me. I needed to apply a couple of times a day over the colder months so I have gone back to my clarins multi-active which has the lotion texture but is a little more hydrating. I do love this though and would recommend it for those with slightly oilier skin or who live in warmer climes. A good product.

Works good even on my oily skin. It doesn't look shiny and really help to hydrate your skin. Smells well and has a quite interesting texture. My skin absorbs it immediately after the application. Helps to reduce the rednesses, as well.

In all my life, I never experienced a product reaction until this Vichy Aqualia Antiox Pro-Youth Deoxidising Cream. Yes, I got the cream because it is supposedly richer and more moisturizing. The "beauticians" at Shoppers Drug Mart keep pushing those expensive lines. I asked for a good night cream and sure enough, they moved me from the Olay aisle to try this. BIG MISTAKE!! Yes, my skin felt soft but with each passing hour, breakouts were feasting on my skin! YUCK!!! Since I couldn't believe this was even probable, I gave it another go the next night. This time, I woke up to an architectural landscape on my face!

Yes, I know all of this sounds a bit hyperbolical but if you are someone who is not used to breakouts, you will understand just how traumatizing this experience was for me. I felt like a lawsuit was in order and still do. This product has made me paranoid about face products. I am soooo scared, it is not even funny. I gathered just enough courage to pick up an Olay night cream. This is the second night and it is clearing out Vichy's assault on my skin. Needless to say that when I ran back and dumped this toxin at Shoppers, the skin care associate goes "I don't see any breakouts...... Oh you mean those? No one's skin is completely smooth.......Well, the breakouts mean the product is working." The NERVES!!!!!

Love the result of this moisturizer. The vitamin C and slight pink tinge makes the skin glow and look more "perfected". With this on I either have to use less foundation (whether it be powder or liquid) or, on lazy or rushed days, no foundation at all.

I took one lippy off because I don't like that it has no SPF. When I put a sunscreen on top of it, the glowy perfected skin look is diminished. It'd be a perfect all-in-one if it had a built in sunscreen. Also the product can spill a little out of the tube if you're not careful with how you store or dispense the product. It's also quite expensive at $39 CAD for 40mL.

Beautiful product. Wouldn't reccoment for those of you that need extra moisture, but perfect for me. Evens out the skin and adds a little glow. Ideal for the daytime, eliminates the need for foundation.

It's suprisingly a very nice product. My very dry, allergic and breakout prone skin is very happy with it. It is very moisturising and feels nice on skin.
It is not make up! But it somehow makes you look slightly better.. It gives nice glowing finish. I don't really like matt finish, but of course I don't want to shine neither! Therefore this one is perfect for me if I use solid foundation/powder (I love it under my shinseido compact sun protection foundation). And when I have a good day I dare to wear it without makeup at all

I am searching for the HG mosturizer ,oil free with high spf which i can wear it during the day,for my every day life, school, work ,but not for when i spend my day in full sun like hiking or for pool time.
In this time i test also other products from LRP,Avene and Olay.
The review is for AQUALIA ANTI-OX Deoxidising Pro-Youth 24Hr Hydrating Care UVA12.
This product is more for "Women aged 25-35 years who have begun to notice signs of aging and who seek younger looking, smoother and more radiant skin"
Active Ingredients :Vitamin C,Vitamin E,Pure Citrus Polyphenol(a nearly 100% pure antioxidant, to help protect skin from daily oxidation by environmental aggressors)
I do wear this product right now,i can't say is amazing but i can't say i hate it,I still like few things let's say.
This came in 40ml tube,i was surprised to see the fluid beeing colored in some pinky-yelow tones, but is not changing the skin color and i am extremly pale(i check this to be sure sitting in front of window with a big mirorr.
The texture is very fluid, really milky and u need only few tiny drops for entire face.Today i used this moisturizer after exfoliation and foaming cleanser,This is not really light ,not heavy or greasy but not light either.I try it to use in different ways to be sure if to buy the full size ..
I hate the smell who remainds me about old style parfum-alcohol-ss-some sweet gross vanila or cakes smell. The smell is really heavy but is gone after few minutes.Unffortunatelly after 5mins i comeback to add the foundation in top of this moisturizer and really bad surprise ,this is balling so bad :-((
I am completly disapointed about this product,i dont like the sensation on my skin, not really light ,more like normal moisturizer which u can feel it sitting on skin ,not pleasant at all.
I can't wear this with foundation ,but i test it once only with pressed powder on top and everything was fine untill.. few hours later i had to reapply powder on nose and chin coz the areea start to look shinny.
I dont think this moisturizer can do more then i already had.Pretty boring moisturizer.Too bad , was so excited about having so many anioxidant ingredients in it.
Also i dont think this is for oily or other skin type then dry.
I am uppset for not finding something to replace my Avene Optimale Legere which i am not alowed to use,on my gyneco recomandation.
I can get Vichy skincare products right in my neighborhood,in pharmacys on really decent money, but untill today just the Dercos line are really good quality the rest are..not worth it to spend my money on it.
I hit this with 3lipies only becouse is nice like moisturiser for dry skin and it didnt gave me any redness like other moisturizer with high spf .
Becouse i can't use this with foundation i dont plan buying the full size.
Edit: after i found the usa version for this product i realised how different they are,so i decide it to add in my review also the ingredient list, maybe it will he helpful for some people.

This is a lovely moisturiser, i have used it for 2 weeks now, and i see a huge difference in my skin; before that my skin was a little dull looking, and now when i wake up my skin looks brighter, and my pores are smaller too. I have combination skin that break outs from time to time, but this combined to avene triacneal at night makes wonders to my skin.

In general I like all vichy products. My face has changed for good since I begun to use vichy normaderm and aqualia range. I bought aqualia antiox two months ago and my face stays hydrated and smooth for all the day. I thought that this moisturizer cannot be used as make up base because was a bit shinny but then I discovered that I should apply the aqualia antiox at least 5 minutes before foundation. I use vichy aera teint pure fluid as foundation and I'm very satisfied. I don't think that I'll give up from vichy products!!

This is nothing to write home about. A totally average moisturizer. I am using the light version in the tube and it is ok. It moiturizes decently for a "light" product type and smells nice and th UVA/B protection is def. nice. But that is about it. Definitely leaves your face looking shiny. There are way better moisturizers out there. It is not BAD, just not GREAT either, and for the Vichy pricetag I expect this to be better than your average d/s moisturizer. Will finish this tube but won't repurchase

i really like this, i bought it along with the vichy antiox vitamin c serum and the Aqualia Thermal Baume in a 3 for 2 sale. i wasn't convinced after sampling the tester in store because it has a slight colour to it. it's slightly pink and contains little tiny balls which when massaged in kind of burst i guess and cause a slight glow. i'm extremely pale and on the back of my hand in the store this looked kind of like a too dark tinted moisturizer. but it was 3 for 2 so i thought i'd give it a try.
i'm so glad i did! on my face i don't see any of this tint really, it just shows as a slight glow. sometimes i might notice it near my hair line, but that's got to do with not rubbing it in properly i think. i also think that maybe the tester in the store had just kind of gone bad or separated a bit or something to cause it to make such a colour on my skin.
anyway, it sinks in really nicely and leaves my skin feeling comfortable, hydrated and calm ALL day. this is a revelation to me as i'm used to applying moisteriser, waiting 5 mins and then needing to apply more because my skin still feels tight, then getting greasy an hour or two hours later. i've used a lot of moisterisers in this price range before, but i don't think i'd ever been able to describe anything as hydrating the way this is. not oily or heavy, just feels like water constantly misting your face or something (maybe i'm getting a little romantic here).

anyway, i docked 1 point because this is only SPF 12. I might never buy another moisteriser if this was SPF 30. instead i'm using a light spf 30 on top of it when it's sunny, and it just feels like too many products. it takes away from the lovely fresh feeling the aqualia antiox has on it's own.

UPDATE: it's a few weeks later now and i'm starting to run a bit low on this product. there's still probably about 3 weeks worth left in the tube (only using at morning time), but what i suspected has finally happened - it's started to turn orange on my skin. it still looks the same when it comes out of the tube (white/pink with little flecks of brown), but once i start rubbing it in it goes yellow/orange on me like a bad tinted moisturizer. it ends up making my face look dirty. i'm very pale and cool toned and i don't tan and this just looks so wrong on me now. i'm heartbroken a little bit, i thought this was a great product at first :(

I got a full size teaster(unopen) from CVS yesterday because they did not have any samples on hand! I used this for the first time this morning and so far it feels pretty good. Really like the texture and light sheen(but yet not oily looking). I also used the new Antiox Vit.C serum this morning too. I will be reviewing this in a few days. I have normal skin with the t-zone in mid day. no big deal. No wrinkles, but do have some sun spots. Wait and see. Will be updating in a few days.
Update****Okay, I been using this every day know for about a week and I have to say that I'm loving the way my skin is looking! It's a lot smoother, pores are smaller and even my dark circles are lighter! That's a big plus in my book! I'm hoping I'm not jinxing myself now by posting this. We'll see.

Age: 19-24   Skin: Combination, Fair   Hair: Brown   Eyes: Blue

I have combination skin that occasionally breaks out, but is generally quite normal. I've always looked for a moisturizer that evens out my skin and leaves it feeling very fresh, clean and soft. Throughout the years I've tried pretty much every drugstore brand available to me (I live in Belgium) with mixed results, some of them were quite good, but there was always something that I didn't like. I do wear make-up, so my moisturizer should preferably provide a good base as well.

Vichy is a brand from L'Oréal and is only available in pharmacies over here in Belgium. The brand has always very much stressed the science behind its products, as well as providing special lines for people with skin conditions (for example their Dermablend range, which are foundations and correctors for people who suffer serious skin conditions, but is also used for covering up tattoos and such).

I got a few products of their Aqualia Antiox range as a gift for subscribing to a magazine here (quite a good deal, the set was worth 73€, I payed 30€ for the subscription), the moisturizer being one of them. It definately stands out.

The colour of the product is a light brownish pink with brown speckles in it, but it goes on very sheer and smooth. It is also extremely blendable so you don't need a whole lot, the tube is 40 ml and will last about two to three months, double that if you don't use it as a night cream. After a couple of minutes it is completely absorbed by your skin, giving you a bit of a glow which is highly flattering on the cheeks, but I like to mattify other areas on my face, which you can do just by pressing a towel against your face, no need for powders.

This moisturizer is supposed to work 24 hours, though I find that rather difficult to judge (when does a product stop working), I find that my make-up doesn't fade (I don't use primers except for my under-eye area) and when I remove it at night, my skin looks healthy and glowy, there is no redness or dry areas, which I'm happy about.

Vichy Aqualia Antiox is meant for peeps between the ages of 25 and 30, as it targets the first signs of ageing skin (fine lines, dull complexion, things like that). I am always rather sceptical about cremes' ability to prevent wrinkles, I find that most of them do a good job at hiding them, but none solve the problem (which seems logical, otherwise botox and plastic surgery would go out of business). I do, however, feel that this product is excellent for those with a dull complexion. My skin looks radiant, feels very soft and all of this without a sticky, rubbery or masklike feeling. The fact that it contains no parabenes or perfume, has an light spf of 12 and has been tested for people with sensitive skin only adds to the positive impression I have of this product. I will definately repurchase, it's a part of my skincare routine.

The 40 ml tube sells for 18€ here in Belgium, given the fact that I usually spend about 10€ on moisturizers, that's quite a lot. But, contrary to many other products, I find that the product justifies the higher price. Like the Fix + spray from MAC, some products with a certain level of quality you just cannot find in a drugstore. I don't mind spending a little more when there's no cheaper alternative and a product works very well. The Vichy Aqualia Antiox is one of those products for me.

This is a good moisturizer: i have used several samples lately and I am quite satisified. Mind you, this cream is nothing extraordinary, but it does its job in moisturizing.
I have combo skin and, as it's winter here now, I use a serum underneath, then moisturizer, then sunscreen , then foundation, powder, bronzer you name it(!), hence my moisturizer must not be too heavy.
Vicky does the trick! It's a pinkish/orangeish cream (I agree the colour is weird), with a light texture; spreads evenly, gets absorbed rapidly into skin.
I like that it is packed w/ antioxidants and contains Vit C... I have read that this should be used in conjunction with the Vit C serum (of the same line) that you make "fresh" from a powder and u need to store in the fridge, but I have not tried this one yet.
All in all, a good product with a good price.

Aqualia ANTIOX for Normal to Combination skin. This one is a review for the tube that has the lighter texture.
What the company says it is:An advanced moisturizer that has antioxidant properties and it suits better the ages over 25 years old that start the first signs of ageing.Refers to lack of radiance, slight discoloration and very slight marks to a young skin. Also it is a 24 h cream.
How I find it:Fantastic! When you are over 25 and less than 30 and have a skin that it doesn't have any visible signs of ageing its difficult to find a cream for your real needs. The simple moisturizers are not enough, the first antiage creams too heavy and you cannot easy find a cream that works out. This for my skin does it all. It moistures,it gives radiance, it smooths all the small expression lines and makes skin feel extremely comfortable for an entire day and the best is that it doesn't grease. Also you feel fressness on skin.
I have to say that i have combination skin, prone to dehydration and a lot of moisturizers make my skin feel dry in some areas. Even though I have this strange type of skin(oily in T-zone,dry under cheeks)this actually fix all these problems plus you feel it is more advanced than a simple moisturizer.
Now for comparizon I can only compare it with Avene's Ystheal Emulsion that is for ages 25+ and have already used a tube of that and have to say that ystheal is indeed a good product has a little bit of more antiage properties and it firms a bit,but doesn't moistures enough and is a little bit heavy for a young skin. Also Aqualia Antiox it is a more efficient formula from the ordinary Aqualia line. I have been using this around 20 days until today.
INGREDIENTS:Aqua,glycerin,dimethicone,octocrylene,ethylhexyl,salicylate,alcohol denat,propanediol,butylmethoxydibenzoylmethane,butyrosprmum parkii butter,shea butter,hedyldecanol,hexyldecyl laurate,sucrose stearate,silica,propylene glycol,poly c10-30 alkyl acrylate,cl14700,cl77891,cl77491,cl77499,cl77492,stearic acid,mica,glycolic acid,triethanolamine,dimethicone,dimethiconol,triethyl citrate,neohesperid,dihydrochalcone,sodium polyacrylate,phenoxynethanol,ascorbyl glycoside,tocopherol,disodium edta,boron nitride,caprylyl glycol,synthetic wax,xanthan gum,aclylates,fragance.
RETAILS for 19EUROS here In Greece. Reasonable price for a cream.
I will keep using it and rebuy a second tube. I am also looking for antiox serum that is a powder with 10% of pure vitamine C that lasts for 21 days in fridge and has a lot of benefits. But dont need this treatment at the moment. If you want a good and advanced moisturizer try it. But watch out if you have problems with glycolic acid. I dont have any!!!
Update1/5/2010: I recently moved to an antiaging moisturizer of Lierac that I like it better. I am going to put a lip off because it is not good as a makeup base. Because of vitamin C or glycolic acid it oxidizes the foundation. I wont repurchage this one.
