i like this mascara. i got the one for longer lashes in black and its just as good as any other "high end" mascara ive used. i put on two or three coats, waiting for each coat to "set" (it doesnt become crispy and dull like a normal mascara does which is great) before applying the next, this makes my lashes appear thicker and fuller. i havent had any problems with the mascara smudging or flaking so far. i also love that this mascara comes in a reusable metal tube - good for the environment, but as well as that, the refills are about £5 cheaper than the refill + tube together. until a better "clean" mascara comes along (this fulfills all of my requirements for a mascara though), im going to stick with this one.

I reeeaallly wanted to love this mascara... I am always on the look out for good natural beauty products. I found its consistency better than other natural ones, as it doesn't run or smudge as easily, and does make a significant difference in lash length and volume. However, this mascara made my eyes quite irritated - teary and stingy. I am a contact lens wearer so maybe that had something to do with it, but it was the same when I was wearing my glasses. Sadly, I had to switch back to a mainstream brand and my natural mascara hunt continues in vain...!

About a year ago I switched from Dept store brands to paraben free, natural and organic cosmetics. It was a hard transition, for I was using what editors and reviews rated as the best of the best. Finding an excellent mascara was very hard, but I believe this is the best I found yet. Elysambre is a wonderful natural line that is sold at Whole Foods and Planet Organic in London. They are a great colour range and diverse assortment of products. The short lashes mascara is great. It doesn't flake or smudge and lengthens and thickens my lashes. For reference, I was using Dior Show before the switch.
