I like this palette, but it's an occasional use product for me. All but the odd pale pink one look good on, and the darker shades are perfect for smoky eye looks. The lighter ones are great base colours. I just don't find myself reaching for it very often, and I'm not sure why. The case is cute, but the zipper flower is bulky, and I have an odd problem with bobby pins getting stuck to magnetic areas. That little problem is probably just me. The eye shadows are kind of powdery and fallout can be a problem. I probably won't use this up enough to warrant a rebuy.

I love Tarte, I really do. BUT. As you can see from my ratings above, I do not like this palette.

The shadows are mostly decently pigmented (the lighter the shade, the less pigment they contain), but they are hard to blend and are VERY powdery. There is lots of fallout when you pick up color with your brush, which is a big bummer. Also, the selection of colors in this palette leaves something to be desired... They just seem randomly thrown in with one another.

The last thing I'll say is that I cannot STAND the packaging. I know they're trying to be cute, but really I don't need this patent vinyl case with the giant rosette thing on the front... I just want functionality. The product would likely have been a lot less expensive if they went for a typical container rather than this weird thing. I won't repurchase this, simply because I rarely use it and don't find the shadows to be that great. You can get much better shadow for a lot less money... or try the Tarte cream shadows; they are a revelation! I just will most likely not buy any more powder shadows from them.

I've come to really hate this palette. I bought it for $45 at Ulta because I liked the look of the colors, but over time...let me explain.

The shadows are all chalky. They blend badly, particularly with each other. They are not truly shimmery, but rather seem like a soft dusty satin with some strange sparkle thrown in. I question why I bought the palette in the first place sometimes. There are so many strange pink-toned mattes. The best shadow in the palette is the green, but even then it doesn't measure up to a normal drugstore eyeshadow. The dust from these shadows fills the purple palette. They are extremely soft, but not in a good way. Once in a while, I'll come back to this palette to try and make it work, but I just can't. The quality isn't there and the shades are just bizarre. The brush in it is oddly my favorite eye brush ever, but that still doesn't make up for the crappiness of the shadows.

Bleh.

I got this palette during one of Tarte's sales. The palette is composed of mostly neutral colors and has both shimmer and matte eye shadows. They are fairly pigmented and are easy to blend. The color payoff is good, and the shadows work nicely with a primer. I can get the shadows to say for a good 6-8 hours. You get a good amount of product too - I believe each eyeshadow is about .06 oz.

The palette comes with a double-ended brush and pencil eyeliner. The brush is of good quality. Although I liked the idea of a double-ended eyeliner (one side is bronze, the other plum), I do not use it very often. The color shows up fine on me, but I don't like how it tends to tug on my skin (and I tend to prefer liquid eyeliners in general). Along with that, my palette came with a free sample of their eye primer. I've heard of some people getting a mini-mascara with theirs, so I'm not sure if that varies or not.

The palette itself is sturdy and has a strong magnetic closure. It has a generous-sized mirror and comes with an instructions card for two looks. The eyeshadow pans use a magnetic base and are refillable. Even with the good points, I am not a big fan of the packaging. While the case is very pretty, it takes up quite a bit of space (because of the flower attached on it). And even though the eyeshadow pans have yet to fall over or crumble, they just don't feel very sturdy in general. I can't see myself using this palette when I'm traveling.

I took one point off; however, Tarte's Femme Naturale is definitely one of the better palettes I own. The option of purchasing refillable pans from Tarte is nice. I will probably do that when I run out of a couple shades (unless buying a new palette would be cheaper).

I love the shadows in this palette! I got it as a gift. I like all the colors, they are very pretty, soft colors, with a mix of both shimmer and matte, although most are shimmer.

I found the eyeliner to run a lot on my eyes, even on top lashes. Terrible eyeliner.

I also love the brush! At first I put it aside since I already have brushes, but I recently started using it again, and have fallen in love with it. One side is a large shader, and the other side is a round blending/crease brush. The brush is soooo soft, and works really well.

I think I got this at $20 or so...I'm not impressed at first b/c the color looks so dark and old, but later on, I found the colors are amazing!!!!!!!!!! Each of it is very pigmented and the colors do stay on forever!!!!
Love, love, love!!!

I have light yellow-toned skin with hazel eyes and dark blonde highlighted hair. This is the best purchase I have made in ages! All of the colors look good on me, I honestly haven't found a bad color in the palette. I find the pigmentation is fine - they aren't completely sheer, just natural looking, but with enough payoff to be noticeable. The brush is of good quality, and the double-ended eyeliner is nice, too. Overall, a good set of shadows/liners for a variety of looks. I

I am so completely in love with this palette. I bought it on a whim, and it's one of the best purchases I've made at Sephora (and I've made a lot!). It's like it was made for me. My colouring's unusual, so it's difficult for me to find shades of eyeshadow that flatter me, especially palettes. I have very, very fair skin, dark blonde hair and dark brown eyes, and almost every shade of this palette looks incredible on me. The shades are:
a soft, shimmery buff (kind of a pale, milky beige colour), a matte nude brown (like butterscotch), a super-shimmery rosy gold, a super-shimmery (and quite pigmented) mossy olive green, a matte warm cocoa brown, a shimmery pale gold, a matte, pale lavender pink, a shimmery, golden mauv-y plum (my absolute FAVOURITE eyeshadow shade), a shimmery bronzy brown, and a slightly shimmery, dark grey-ish navy.
I use all of the colours, some more than others. But all of them none the less. The pale gold, cocoa brown, golden plum and dark navy the most. The moss green is my least favourite, it looks a little heavy on me so I don't wear it much, and when I do, it requires a lot of blending. I cannot express how much I love the plum shade though. It looks amazing with my brown eyes, and I get compliments on it all the time. I would honestly shell out for the whole palette just for the plum shade alone. It's that good! I wear the gold with the dark navy in the outer corners and creases all the time for a great (and easy!) smoky look. And I get compliments on it almost everytime I wear it. The eyeliners are nice, I really like the plummy brown (it looks great with the plum shadow!), and the brush is decent. The colour payoff is good, they blend well and last, but I give it 5 lippies for the colours!

I thought about this one a long time before I bought it. It looks great as packaged—the colors are just lovely to look at, especially the green shade which tempted me into buying the whole set. But I’m not as pleased with the set now that I’m using it. I strongly recommend that you try the shades out on your eyes before purchase. I swatched them extensively on the back of my hand, but I’ve discovered that it’s not the same as actually applying them to your eyes and seeing the effect under different lighting conditions.

Pros:
- A couple of the eye shadows are fabulous, like the golden plum and the golden green. The dark navy shade works well wet as an eyeliner.

- The eye shadow brush is excellent quality. The crease brush is okay though I find it a little large for my preference.

- I didn't like the matte shades at first, but they have increasingly become my "go to" neutrals. The two lighter colors (fleshtone and baby pink) don't pop on my skin, but they do provide a nice base on which to layer other colors. I use the reddish brown matte as a contour color on my cheeks since it has so little impact on my lids.

Cons:
- I’m dark-skinned, so some of the colors don’t show on me as well as they would on lighter skins, like the reddish brown color at the end. Also, the lighter colors can be too light and shimmery against my brown skin.

- Way too much shimmer and not enough matte shades. The colors are overly golden. I’m in my 40s and still hiding my age, but my eyes look OLD if I overuse these shimmery colors. I’ve started using some of the lighter colors for highlighting on my cheeks and they seem to work well for that purpose.

- The greenish-bronze pencil eye liner is very pretty as is the golden plum, but again, they don’t really show up well on my skin. Also, I find that they tug on my skin when I apply them and they have a strong waxy odor.

All in all, I don’t think I’d purchase again if I had the choice. This palette is okay but my money could have been better spent. However, I do think that my disappointment is more my fault than Tarte's. I didn't pick the right color palette for my skin tone. The quality of the shadows is quite good and I would be willing to purchase another Tarte palette in the future. Next time, I'll take greater care when choosing colors.

I really wanted to love this palette. But after many attempts, I have to say I just don't like it overall, and would not buy it again.

First, the good:
The double-ended application brush is lovely and soft and wonderful to use. The eyeliner pencil is great, too. The texture of the shadow is nice and buttery-soft. The package is nice and opulent looking (subject to my comments about the magnets, below).

Now, the bad:
The pigmentation leaves something to be desired; everything is too wishy-washy, sheer and subtle for me. The eyeshadow colors don't really "blend" conceptually with each other, color-wise. I find myself adding colors from other palettes just to get a look I'm happy with.

Worst of all, while the pans are removable, the magnets that make them cling to the case fell off. I had two glue three of the magnets back in, with contact cement. Not what I expected for a palette I paid CDN$50 for.

Got this with my beauty insider money around the holidays and am still glad that I did! I use all the colors except the 2 pinky mattes (2nd column from left). After many years of thinking I was cool toned, I have recently discovered that warm colors actually flatter my skin tone much better...since these are removable, I may try to swap these out with some lovely MUAer.

The brush is AMAZING, one side is dense and great for packing on e/s and the other is the perfect blending/highlight brush. Most palette brushes are junk so this is a pleasant surprise!

I have one very important tip with these shadows. The shimmery ones really need to be applied with a damp brush to prevent them from going flat and muddy. That's the only reason I rated this a 4 instead of a 5, I wish the color payoff was more of what you see in the pan. But the colors look so lovely on the eye when applied this way that it makes it totally worth the extra effort! Tarte is a great brand and I will definitely seek out more of their stuff in the future.

I got this pallet for 40% off during a F&F sale. I love the packaging and I love the brush it comes with. The colors look much better in the package than they do on. The green color looks like dirt. Most of the colors are pretty pigmented and there are some really pretty ones that I use on a regular basis. They are good quality. They do stay on throughout the day which is a plus. I guess the main reason I don't like it as much as I though is because the colors don't wear like they look. For example the brown color looks plum-ish on me and the green color looks charcoal gray on me. The lighter colors are beautiful though. The eyeliners are decent. I wouldn't want to pay full price for this.

Pros: Good packaging, good quality, long wearing, great brush, nice eyeliners
Cons: Some colors do not wear the same color as they look, esp the green and brown.

I find it really odd that I hate this so much but, I HATE this palette. The packaging is the worst part about it, the eyeshadows all fell out one by one and as they did, they all crumbled together. Within a few months of buying this palette and only using it on occassion, all I had left was a box full of crumbled eyeshadow. I would like to say that before that happened this was a great palette and I loved it but that's not true either, the shadows were poorly pigmented and too sheer. I know it is supposed to be a sheer, natural looking palette, but it's pointless. I would put on an eyeshadow and it immediently looked like it was fading away from hours of wear, and I would put them on pretty heavily too. All in all, the colors drew me in and I wanted to love this, but it's definitely the worst palette I've ever bought and in my opinion, you are better off buying cheap drugstore eyeshadows over these ones.

This was my very first purchase from Sephora, and I'm so glad because this eyeshadow palette is fantastic. I love and use all of the colors, and I find the quality to be wonderful! To me, there are two downsides (and they are not that big of a deal) - I don't like the flower thing on the palette because it makes it hard to put in my drawers or to put away smoothly, and second, I wish these had names, and the ability to re-order the shades you use often. Tarte claims for you to be able to do that, as the eyeshadow pots are only held in by magnets for you to change out, but these colors are not available on-line. Oh well! This palette seems to be staying around for awhile and that's fine with me! The brush is great too, as is the double ended eye-liner.

Age: 18 & Under   Skin: Combination, Medium, Warm   Hair: Black, Relaxed, Coarse   Eyes: Black

After contemplating and swatching this palette almost excessively at Sephora, I decided to bite the 59 CAD bullet and purchase this palette.
Not so much as for the natural ingredients or the claims that Tarte makes as a natural company, more for the blendability of these colors and the mere fact that these colors are right up my alley.
It wasn't until I had time to play with them that I realized how much I adore these shadows. All are buttery soft, with the exception of one glittery shadow, which does not fall all over my face. I sweep colors on with the brush provided (double ended paddle brush and crease brush), and it literally stays on all day over a primer. Now this is a claim in which my MAC, UD, NARS and Dior shadows cannot promise, yet Tarte can.
After my 12 hour day of not touching up my eyeshadow, my lids still shimmer beautifully with no creasing. It has faded slightly, but significantly less than most of my shadows.
I then line my eyes with the liner provided, which tugs a little, but has decent staying power for a pencil liner. One side is a bronze, and the other is a deep purple.
The colors are beautifully pigmented, ranging from bronzes, to whites, to dark teals and greens. There are 3 mattes, one glittery, and the rest are shimmer. I would say that these aren't finely milled shimmers, but finely milled enough to reflect light and create an iridescent look. Some of the mattes are on the chalky side, but still feel like butter strangely =.=
The packaging is a let-down honestly. The couture-looking zipper flower is cute, but definitely not practical for storage. There is virtually no way for me to store it sideways without taking excess amount of space. While I do like the fact that these are refillable pans, I am skeptical of traveling with this palette with the fear of all these pans crumbling into each other since none are secured in the palette itself.
Overall, I enjoy this palette, and would only rebuy because I love the staying power of the shadows.

I got this as a gift as I requested organic make up since I'm trying to become more safe and natural with my make up obsession.
This product is a must have for anyone loves eyeshadows.
From start to finish it is a great buy. First the packaging is gorgeous, so cute with the flower, and the snappy magnet makes it easy to open and close plus the lack of plastic makes this environmentally friendly.
Secondly the eyeshadows are gorgeous, a little chalky so you really really need good primer. The colours are all gorgeous neutral colors some matt and some with shimmer and all of them very wearable for every kind of look. You get a double ended pencil with a goldy browny colour and a deep purple colour. The purple is amazing, I never wore purple eye liner before but discovered that it suits me amazingly! More than black, brown or khaki which is what I normally wear. The brush is also great quality and does the trick to apply the shadows perfectly.
The one colour that is missing are some base colours like: a white so to bring light to my inner eye and eyebrow.
Also there is no black. But this is a nice palette.
Perfect for travel and creating neutral cute looks.
Love it.

I like this palette a lot. But it does have it's flaws.
Pros:
They're pigmented.
They are better than ordinary e/s bc of what they're made of
I found some wonderful colors that I like
Cons:
They are a lot chalkier than the original day to night palette which I LOVE. - bc of that u do need a good primer. I use a primer plus a paint pot to give the e/s a good sticky base to stay on since they're chalky.
There are some colors that I don't like but well there's no palette that'll ever have everything that I like. haha

In all, u just need a good base for them to stay on.
I wouldn't repurchase only bc these will last me a lifetime. haha

This is a good palette if you want a good choice of colors and don't want to carry all of your goodies with you. It works well for both cool and warm skin tones- and love that it gives you a brush and an eyeliner. Pretty satiny shiny colors. Not for everyday use, but fun to have to small amounts of colors i would never buy full size!

I was on the fence for a while with this palette. I thought the shadows had a great texture...like butter. But when I applied them I was wishing for more pigmentation. The more I use it now, the more I really like it. This palette is designed to give you a light natural look, and thats just what it does. All of the colors look great and my girlfriends have even given me compliments. What's even more great is that this is refillable! So I will have this palette a long time. Also the brush and eyeliners are of good quality!

WOW! I love love love this palette like I have loved no other! 10 gorgeous mineral based eye shadows!

I am so happy that these are full sized eye shadows, can come out when you want refils (tartecosmetics.com...sephora does not sell the individual eye shadows right now)

each color is wonderful - neutral, yet all unique and very easy to wear. I have green eyes and brown/red hair and skin with neutral/yellow undertones. there are shimmers and matte in this kit and I find that the shimmers are *just right*. I'm 38 and I seriously don't like glittery / overly pearly sparkly shadows. these are perfect and you still have both matte & shimmer in the palette!
the double ended brush is fantastic. super soft, no fall out with bristles. one end is for all-over shadow application the other end is for smudging. I am usually not a good eye shadow applicator person, but with these shadows & this brush, it is so easy!! I've never had such great looking eyes. with my primer (i use BE Prime Time Eye right now) they really do last all day and stay true. I have not tried them w/out primer.
the eye liner pencil is also double ended. I'm just "ok" with these colors in the pencil, but they certainly are not bad. you can easily just swap out the eye liner and thrown in your own pencil. :)
the case is gorgeous and I dont even like stuffing it in my drawer. I leave it out! so cute with that flower, and the purple case.
over all, I am won over like never before on these. I wear these shadows exclusively now...my Chanel, Origins, Mac, Estee Lauder shadows are not being used any more.

DOES NOT CONTAIN:
mineral oil, petrolatum, paraben, phthalates, sodium laurel sulfate, gluten, synthetic fragrance,

cruelty free & dermatologist tested

colors:
Top row (l-to-r): shimmering buff, soft sand, golden peach, shimmering sage, soft sienna

Bottom row (l-to-r): golden tan, soft petal pink, golden plum, shimmering cocoa, golden navy

Double-ended eyeliner: golden bronze and shimmering auburn
