Got rid of small spots
Bit of an odd smell
Bit pricey as well
Didn't get rid of massive, red spots, sadly.

With in the first use of this product on my chin and forehead (i get hormonal spots on my chin and the off spot on my forehead), the spots had minimised dramatically! I love this product and recommend to everyone who suffer with breakouts. Even smells nice too!

The pricetag is not bad considering the small bottles always last me forever.
I use this every night after cleansing and it's great. It has significantly reduced my breakouts! Instead of having frequent breakouts, I get the odd spot every now and again. It's like it keeps all your bad skin at bay then gets it all out in one blemish.
The smell isn't overpowering and it dries quickly so you can slap it on just before bed. Doesn't feel greasy or oily in the morning either.
Great product and will continue to use.
UPDATE: It has been about 4 months since I have run out of this product and not repurchased, I'm not seeing much difference. I still get a few spots and clogged pores. I'm starting to debate if the Dermalogica serum was helping at all. I am tempted to repurchase this again because I have blocked pores that no matter what products I use, I cannot get rid of them and I like using a product with salicylic acid.
May repurchase but I'm starting to think my skin is actually ok without this stuff.

I'm not sure how I should review this product but let me say this:
When I first got a sample from sephora, it worked AMAZINGLY on my skin and literally made my breakouts disappear completely super fast. I had clear skin thanks to this. I went and got another sample once I finished that (yes to procrastinate on spending $30 lol) and again it worked fantastically. My skin was completely clear. A few months went by I didn't get a new one because I hadn't gone to sephora in a while. But I got it again a month ago, and it did absolutely NOTHING. It did not remove pimples at ALL. My skin got used to it, which is weird because it was actually a while since I used it last. Oh well, I went to sephora again today and decided to try something new. I got B.Kamins treatment and will do a review for that to see if that will help me :(

This is one of my favorite products from the clean start line!
It worked quite well for me and with a few weeks my skin has already dramatically improved. I've been using it for quite a while now but although my skin is still not perfect, I believe bedtimes for breakouts has helped my skin significantly nonetheless. I love how you just put it on your face and the next morning you would wake up with your skin hydrated and soft!

This product made my skin kind of red, irritated, dry and caused a few break outs.
My skin is pretty clear and healthy at the moment, I have been looking for some insurance.... a night moisturizer to keep my skin on track ect. This was not the ticket.
I used this product for about 4-5 nights, I thought maybe my skin just needed a few nights to get use to it ect. There was no improvement and my skin was better before usage. So I think I was sensitive or allergic to an ingredient, I had never used anything with salicylic acid before so that might have been responsible for the havoc?
But..... I tried one other product from the clean start line and I do like the ready, set, srcub. I have used it every other day for 8 days and so far so good, it's cooling, makes the skin feel clean and polished.

I actually really, really like this treatment. Pros:
***It doesn't irritate me at ALL! Most treatments do, but this is so gentle - and I'm so grateful, because it really is keeping my breakouts at bay! There's no redness, stinging, etc.. just no irritation! And my skin is so sensitive I can't even use a scrub/exfoliator!! I've had the worst experiences with other treatments - with this, nothing!!
Cons:
***The packaging really isn't good. At least on the little tester thing it isn't. Every time I open it, a ton pours out. When I buy the full size, that isn't going to be something that makes me very happy seeing as how expensive it is and how much I would have wasted. I found a trick, though: When you open it, make sure the cap had been facing up for a little while to let it all sink back down into the packaging.
Other than that, no cons. I don't even care about the price. It's worth it!! Try a tester of it!!

I love this gel. It works for ME. Don't just not try it because of the bad reviews on here. Try and get a sample bottle first, because it is a bit pricey just to try.
It goes on clear, and the smell is fine. It doesn't sting my skin. It probably would dry it out and I would experience what others are experiencing, (the red, dryness and burning) however i use a tiny bit of misturizer at night.
It reduces my redness, and seriously keeps my pores clean. I wouldn't say it's the best acne treatment for pimples that are already developed--- it helps. But really, it keeps my nose spotless and my other pores unclogged. It's not as potent as other gels, and it's goes on thicker so that I can put it all over my forehead, cheeks, chin, and nose.

This is the SECOND tube of the Dermalogica Bedtime for Breakouts tube that I have finished.
PACKAGING: Firstly, I think they changed the cap of the tube. Previously, there was a somewhat pointed opening, which was helpful because this product is viscose. The newer tube has a rounded opening, which sucks. Fortunately, I just switched the caps. The tube is great and sanitary, I rated it a 4 (new cap really sucks).
PRICE: I gave it a 5 because it is a little bit pricey and I think a tube lasts about 4 months. I bought it for...$29+tax CAD I believe.
**IMPORTANT NOTE** this product is under the wrong category. It should actually be under "TREATMENTS".
MY SKIN: Used to be perfect (except for dark circles), until I hit my second year of university and was stressed out 24/7. I began suffering from breakouts, etc. Now, I maintain relatively healthy skin with the help of an arsenal of products. This product is one of them. My skin is now: prone to acne (fyi acne is a CHRONIC condition, it'll come back if you stop treating it), prone to congestion, enlarged pores, oily in the t-zone as well as the inner cheek area, and prone to hyperpigmentation.
HOW TO USE: I never use this as a spot treatment. Instead, every night after I have washed my face with the Clarisonic, I apply this product all over my entire face. I do this every night because I'll notice more clogged pores when I don't use this product.
EFFICACY: It has definitely helped keep my skin clearer than it was before. If I don't use this for a few nights in a row, I develop more breakouts because my skin is congested. It also reduces the redness on my face. This product does not irritate my skin, which is very rare in an anti-acne treatment.
OVERALL: I have/would/will continue to REPURCHASE this product because it is effective. If you're trying this out, give it a few weeks before you discard it. It's difficult for me to understand why people stop using products that they don't think are working (I can understand if it's breaking them out, but most people here seem to stop using products after a week or 2) when acne has been affecting people for much, much longer than a few weeks. Acne is not going to just go away in a few days because of a couple of new products you've introduced into your regimen. If you've dealt with acne, most likely it's been for years. Patience can be very beneficial when dealing with acne/blemish-prone skin.
Hope this helps :)

Another Dermalogica product that gave me angry red skin. I've used other 2% Salicylic Acid treatments without incident, so I'm not sure what the issue is here. I would advise to buy the trial size of Dermalogica products before you commit to a full size bottle. They are very pricey and there is no way to tell which are going to work out,

Big no, no for moi! Haha, I don't like this product at all. It's meant for a spot treatment and in no way did it dry out my pimple, it actually seemed to moisturize it more and it didn't do anything for my face.

I'm not sure if this is a moisturizer or a treatment.
If it's a treatment, then I guess it just doesn't work for me. Because I'm not seeing any dramatic results. There are other spot treatments that were more effective for me than this one.
If it is a moisturizer, then it's good for oily/acne prone skin. Lightweight, easily absorbed, and it has helpful ingredients like salicylic acid. Having combination/mostly oily and acne prone skin has made me shy away from moisturizers, but this one hasn't done any harm, so I'll keep using it until I run out and see if my skin 'needs' it.

This stuff is a little pricey, but is totally worth it. After 2 weeks, it has significantly helped my skin, and I like it even better than Medibac, plus it is cheaper! woo hoo!
I like the cucumber smell, and so far it hasn't dried my skin out. A keeper for me.

I bought this on eBay for about $20, and for 2oz of product, I thought it was decent for a brand name item. I've been using this for 2 months and have only gone through three quarters of it.
I have been through really bad acne. It was all over my face, especially on my cheeks and forehead (which pretty much everywhere). The pimples I got would be huge and red. In addition to that, I have super oily skin too. Yet it can flake sometimes during winter months.
When I apply this on my face, it feels really light and non-greasy. However, I don't recommend applying too much because it will peels off. I have also noticed that it somewhat controls the oil on my face. I don't wake up in the morning with oil all over my face like I always did. My skin feels softer and less inflaming. However, the reason I only give this 4 lippies because I don't think it completely controls my breakout. I still get breakout, just not as severe-looking as it was.
Oh, one side note, at first I used it as a moisturizer. After a while, I did not only want to treat my acne but also wanted to improve my skin texture, so I started to use derma e c-lipoic after applying this. My skin has been improving a lot in the past few weeks.

Love this stuff! Clears up my blemishes wonderfully overnight. It's not an overnight miracle-worker, but it's been the only product to work on clearing my skin so well that I've bought so far! I plan on buying the full size as soon as I finish my sample size.

In the beginning I really loved this product. It kept me about 95 percent acne free and whatever pimples came up were small. Also it is pretty cheap for the huge amount of product you get. Sadly after 6 months it stopped working and I was left with a pretty bad TOTM outbreak. Still it worked pretty well when it worked and was very gentle on my skin so I'd recommend.

I'm not sure about this one, i have the entire line but i can't actually tell you if this is helping or if its just on top of all the rest. It does get rid of redness and i dont wake up with any sore pimples. So i guess it is working, i've noticed my acne scars fading but that could be because almost all of these products contain a citrus of some sort. So i'm really not sure if i love this but i love how my skin feels right now so i'll keep using this.
I got this in the starter kit, i'm not sure if the packaging is better in the full size but this thing leaks and the price isn't what i really want to be paying.

I'm in love with this product! I have dry skin and I have never had a problem with serious acne but I do have a few zits here and there. I started using my favorite toner and it helped a lot but I would still get a zit or two once a month. I started using this and I must say it's amazing! If I have a zit or redness I just put this on at night and when I wake up my skin looks so much better! Of course it's not completely gone but it makes it so much less visible! It also helps prevent other breakouts as well. Since I have dry skin I still follow up with my other moisturizers. Packaging is great and the price isn't that bad. I have nothing but good things to say about this product!

I absolutely love this stuff. When i wake up the morning after putting this on, my skin looks smoother and less red. It does also help with acne. Its a bit expensive, but definitely worth a try for anyone with acne or redness.
