This is a close dupe for Smashbox Photo Finish Primer (the clear one) in my opinion. They both have very similar textures, and glide on to the skin nicely. Of course, the E.L.F one is way cheaper - but I really do find they do similar things for the skin/makeup process.
If you are very oily, be careful of this one (and the Smashbox!) it may leave too much of a residue on your skin and cause you to look even oiler.
I don't notice a huge difference in how long my makeup lasts with this on, but I do think it's a good "base" for makeup and starts the whole process of getting ready on a good note. I do notice it glides over bumpy/textured areas, and makes the face look visibly smoother - probably because of the silicone(s) in it.
I will definitely repurchase!

I LOVE this primer! It's inexpensive, makes your skin feel super smooth and it'a clear (but is available online in corrective green, lavender and I believe pink). It's really great if your skin is a little on the oily side, it gave me a nice matte base for my makeup.

Not a fan of this at all. Thin and greasy in texture, and it made my makeup slip off my face. I don't mind thin primers if they absorb or set, but this did neither. It made my makeup look worse, and last on my face for less time than it would on bare skin.

I have used this only once since I bought it and so far so good for the price. I really don't like certain Elf products (like the eyeshadows) but this primer is pretty good, it does the job. The color and consistency surprised me, it's a clear gel, it did feel a little weird on, maybe I used too much but my makeup stayed on all day, my face didn't dry up or felt oily. I have used Laura Mercier foundation primer which is ok and Bobbi Brown face base, and have to say this primer by far beats those two in quality (and price of course). I used the Elf flawless foundation and I was very satisfied with the results. I will buy this again, because for the price it does an amazing job!!!

I actually never use this product. I don't believe it works that well. It keeps product on for a long time but it doesn't not make the colors bright and vibrant. I won't be buying again

I bought this stuff because I'd never used a primer on myself and thought I should give it a shot. I used to work at Lancome and I used Le Base on everyone who came in and it was highly revered by everyone in the department so maybe I'm just holding this to high standards. I've used it a couple of times on myself and both times have felt like it just sits there as a heavy, oily barrier on the skin. I've also used it a few times on my husband as a part of halloween/cosplay makeup and while he never complained about oiliness, I did notice that it make the cheap $1 facepaint stay on longer than it should have. Then of course there's the packaging. It's pleasing to the eye but I cannot keep the cap on to save my life. I keep it in my makeup bag and it rarely ever leaves its spot on my dresser and the lid aaaaalways comes off.
So while I'd probably never use this on myself, it might be okay on special occasions when you're just looking for something to keep your foundation on a little bit longer. But there are a lot of better primers out there.

I used Lavender shade to brighten my dull skin. It's not a miracle product and i do have very oily combination skin. It doesn't dry out my face but i notice i would have a few tiny bumps after i cleansed my makeup. This is my first ever primer and i love it cos it's great value and works to a certain degree :)

Love this stuff. I wear it over Clinique moisturizer and it works wonders. It allows for great "slip" so I can apply my foundation, minimizes pores, keeps my foundation from settling in fine lines and keeps my makeup looking fresh pretty much all day. For the price, I don't know how you can go wrong. This primer turned me on to the entire E.L.F. line. I'm waiting on a huge order (should be here today YAY!) from the Bestsellers sale and I ordered two more bottles of this primer. It probably doesn't work for everyone, but for my middle aged slightly dry skin, it's a lifesaver!
Age: 19-24 Skin: Normal, Fair Hair: Brunette Eyes: Hazel
I'm really not a fan of this at all. I normally use MAC Prep + Prime but I was already placing an order with E.L.F. so I thought I'd give it a shot since the price was so good.
Unfortunately it makes my skin feel suoer greasy even though I have normal skin with dehydration. At the same time, it didn't help my foundation go on more smoothly at all, it actually made things more difficult since my skin was so slippery.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Acne-prone, Fair-Medium Hair: Brunette Eyes: Hazel
I bought the tone-correcting green primer, and it's texture is exactly the same as sephora's primer, so really I saved around $15.00 for this. The green really does even out my tone, my foundation went on very smoothly and it covered more redness than usual. However, it is a tad greasy, but my skin's always oily so no surprise there. The packaging's great, but don't be fooled, it's only half-full of product if you check the bottom. Overall, good product, good price, and will most likely repurchase.
