The shade is very pretty, but for a shadow named "Gold" its more yellow. Therefore I took one lippie off. I took another lippie off since I had to go over the shadow a few times. I don't have that problem with Urban Decay or Stila. I find myself reaching more for other colours. I will not repurchase.

I bought this to go with saris and other nighttime outfits. It's a pretty color but I dont find myself reaching for it that often. It's very muted and kind of a more sophisticated gold. If you're looking for something that pops, this isn't it. But if you're looking for a subtle sheen, this is classic Bobbi Brown, good quality and should look good on most people.

I'm very wary when it comes to Gold shadows. Many look garish on me.
Bobbi's got a winner here--true gold--beautiful and probably would look great on most all!
Get it NOW--while it is still available.
On the website under Last Chance.

This stuff is absolutely beautiful. It has some texture to it. You can actually see it!!! I'm sure there is a purpose for shadows that are so sheer they can't be seen. Ha. This one is actually visible. I love it. Sadly, when I go to the Bobbi Brown website, the chrome eyeshadow is listed among the "last chance" products. What's up with that? Are they discontinuing already. What a shame.

I have been on a re-organizing campaign and swore that I would not purchase anything if I had something similar to it (dupeable) in my existing stash (the gold ES is the middle color in the small pic).
When I saw this ES it screamed at me -- "If you have someone like me-- it isn't the real thing"... lol. And so I bought it.
I have about 11 gold/ gold tone ES from many different companies.. and there is no other like this Gold because of it's texture and sheer loveliness.
If you have black, brown, green, hazel or blue eyes this is your color for showing off.
love it and would repurchase but BB's ES pans are huge for the price.

This is a must have...go and buy it now!! I adore adore adore this eyeshadow. Literally it brightens and flatters you in a way you never knew you could be! I have fair skin and blue eyes and let me just say that if you have that coloring you need to, without a doubt get this before it is discontinued! So pretty...the gold is perfect and super pigmented! Can be worn easily in the day with a gray or brown shadow mixed and can stand alone in the nighttime. With holidays coming you do not want to be without this color!! I do not know what I will do if Bobbi really does make it Limited Edition! It is my new HG!

Beautiful, metallic, true gold eyeshadow! A color I've been searching for and finally found! Some golds are too yellow, too orange, or have a green cast to them. I am happy to say that this one is a true gold without any funky tones to it. This eyeshadow is basically the same as the BB Pewter Chrome as far as texture and performance go, so any comments I made for my review on the Pewter apply here. The only thing different is the color, and I do prefer the Pewter color over the Gold... but I can't deny that the Gold isn't just as beautiful in its own right. This looks good with my skintone and eyecolor (NW20, hazel eyes), too. I used this on the lid, with MAC Solar White as an inner corner highlighter, and MAC Coquette in the crease. This is a nice gold eyeshadow to have around for the holidays... but it's LE, so grab it while you can!
