After the raves on HC blushes and bronzers, I decided to go and pick this shade up as I thought it would suit my nc20 skintone the best, and would be a good blush and highlight combo.
A lot of people already described its finish and colour, so I wont go into too much detail, but I do agree that the pinky/peachy sheen (not glitter chunks) is quite lovely on the skin, and you do get quite alot of product for the $10 price.
So why do I only give this 3 lippies?
I usually contour with my blush as well, (so I tend to keep the colour on my cheekbones, not the apples of my cheeks), and when I did this with this blush, it gave me a nice glow when I was standing in my room.
However, when I went in the sunlight and held a mirror up, I looked a bit...glittery. And I do not have a heavy hand since I DO have acne and scars, so I learned long ago that less is more when using blush because I dont want to bring out the redness from my current blemishes. So one lippie off for looking a bit crazy (at least for my taste) under natural light. Im glad that so many others loved the glow it gave them though!
As a highlight, it was a bit too dark and peachy for my skintone, so it looked like I applied shimmery highlight in the wrong place, and as a blush, it was just too shimmery for my taste (and current skin condition).
The other lippie I took off was its lasting power. Obviously makeup looks better right after application, but this one does rub off really easily and fades, leaving shimmers on my cheekbones/cheeks, and this accentuates pores and whatnot. Again, perhaps if I had really good skin, I wouldnt mind, but I don't, so I havent been using this blush at all.
It was worth the try though, and I still feel excited when I hear and read raves about HC blushes by other women (and men of course =)! ), until I realize I wasnt able to make this product work for me.
Good luck guys!

Pale girls rejoice! I've finally found a blush that gives a soft, subtle glow to my cheeks. It works great as a cheek highlighter, and it's not too harsh even on the palest of skintones.
The packaging, while very cute (as with most HC products) is a little fragile, so be careful. There's quite a lot of product, I doubt I'll ever run out.
As it's not very pigmented, I don't use it as a blush, rather, over my blush (Wet 'n' Wild Color Icon in Pearlescent Pink) and I look healthy rather than deathly. It's a winner!

This is definitely one of those "I never would have guessed I'd love this blush" kind of shades lol Where do I begin.. I am 30years old with very fair (N10/NC15-ish) oily, clog-prone skin. I already owned 2 of HardCandy's other baked blushes, in "Living Doll" and "Bombshell" -Living Doll I unfortunately had to swap away as I found it a bit too over the top pink for my ultra paleness, and Bombshell I use more like a bronzer than a blush, but I do enjoy the shade nonetheless.
I walked past Pin Up probably 50x before taking the plunge - I usually gravitate twards blushes that look "pretty" in the pan (anything bubble-gum pink, red, plum, etc) but recently realized that a lot of those blushes that are pretty in the pans, end up making me look a bit "clown-like" since I am so pale, so I've started going for more subtle blushes. I gotta be honest, this blush looked scary to me.. Kind of dark in color with the brownish-black veins running through it, I wasn't sure what to expect when I got it home, but have to admit this is one of *the* most flattering shades I've ever applied to my cheeks. Super natural looking, but noticeable at the same time, and also makes it appear as though I've applied just a tad of highlighter in the areas I've applied it even when I have not. (A very, "glowing from within" kind of look) I also have somewhat acne-prone skin, but *very* clog-prone skin and have had zero issues with HC's baked blushes giving me breakouts (Yay!)
I've found with these paticular baked blushes, applying with a sponge (or dense brush, like ELF's $3 Flat Top Powder Brush for example) can be a bit better (for me personally) than using a fluffy/regular blush brush. When I use my regular blush brush (especially with this shade) I don't get as much staying power, and also get more of a sheen of color to my cheeks(if that makes sense?) But, if I take a non-latex wedge sponge and pat it onto the blush, then dab onto my cheek/cheekbone area and blend with it, this shade ends up looking much more flattering, and this technique seems to add a lot more staying power to it. This can also be used wet of course, with the same sponge method except dampening the sponge first, and using wet intensifies the shade a great deal :)
As other reviewers have mentioned, it's kind of a "tawny" shade - I really don't know any other way to describe it.. It is indeed a bit tawny-ish, but i notice in different lighting situations, it can pull more pink at times, but can also pull a tad coral-ish brown. (all in the most flattering ways though) -It's just a very difficult shade to describe with words, I highly recommend giving this blush a try. &I can honestly say that I do not have ANY other blushes that compare to the shade of this one (you know how we are, we like 5 different shades of pink and 5 different shades of red, so on & so fourth - well, at least this is how I am I guess lol ;D) This is a one of a kind shade, I have nothing else to compare it to, and find it to be a definite must have, especially for those with fair skin like myself. If you have darker skin I'm really not sure how this will show up on you..If applied wet/damp or heavily it may work well as a blush, otherwise it may suit you better as a highlighter type product..I'm really not sure =(
I paid $7 USD at my local WalMart store and there is a ton of blush in these compacts, I can't even imagine how long it will take me to finish this thing! But whether it lasts me 1 year or 5, I plan to repurchase regardless, this is definitely a 5 lippie worthy product from Hard Candy =)

I like this blush it does give a nice tawny look. I just don't get how some can use this as a highlight because it does have a bronze effect. It also has black shimmer veins in the product too it's confusing what those are for but overall I like this blush and I use this all the time and this one has lasted me over a year and im running out now but I can never find it anymore at Walmart!

I picked this up a few days ago because I had seen a couple of reviews that mentioned it was great for fair skin and contouring. Figured it couldn't hurt.
The color is really pretty on my face. It def has a bit of a sheen to it, a little iridescent shine. My problem is that it just doesn't stay put. The fall out is probably the worst I have ever seen. Even just swatching it on my arm lasted all of two seconds...a swipe of my hand and it was gone.
For the price I supposed I can't complain too much. $6-7 I believe. I'll keep looking though.

Never say, “I wouldn’t be caught dead in X colour”, because I guarantee, that’s the one you’ll be obsessed with in a matter of seasons. I’d rocked tawny cheeks in the early 90s, as was the deal then, and hadn’t wanted anything to do with them since. Maybe because I’ve got a real wild hair about America’s tanning obsession and went through a phase where I scorned any and all brown makeup in protest, especially bronzers and blush. But one day…I don’t know, I just brought a different pair of eyes to the store and couldn’t take them off this product. “What if--WHAT IF--I open up my tiny little mind for once and it looks fab?” So I did, and it did. This is now my go-to blush for the smutty, smokey rock n roll eye I show off at least once a week. And you know what? Even wearing it, I’m still all nice and pale--just healthy-pale, not undead-pale.

I found pin up to be too frosty for me; it's as simple as that. It had an aging affect on my skin, which I avoid for obvious reason. :)
Swapped this one away.

I was looking for something sort of between a luminizer and a bronzer, and this line always intrigues me. I'm quite fair, a lot of pink undertones, with dark hair - this has a very slight pink-beige cast with a lot of cool shimmer - which works great for me.
I like it alone for glow and over the top of a powder bronzer for added oomph. It also works well for contouring - I find that it really wakes your face up and makes you look rested, and also diffuses any imperfections.
For me, this is more of a luminizer then a blush, though.
I will say I use this with a very light hand, and I think the correct brush makes a difference. I use e.l.f.'s powder brush and it works really well. It blends easily, as well.
I figure as soon as I drop it, it's a goner, but for the price, I can handle the danger. :)

For me this is less of a blush and more of a contour shade. Which I actually really like, on me it is the perfect contour for winter/spring when bronzers look unnatural. I wish the wear on my face was longer but....it looks crazy pretty as an eyeshadow! I tried it out the other day and was really impressed. Its a beautiful bronze color that has excellent wear with a primer. With out the eyeshadow effect I would have probably give this a three, but with overall I'm very pleased. =)

Sorry, this one was a big miss for me. Bought it at Walmart based on the shining reviews here.
I am very fortunate to have flawless skin, even without foundation, concealer or powder. I never have trouble with any kind of blush. However, I found this just sat on top of my skin and made my non-visible pores extremely evident. Never had that happen before...
I have fair skin, and no color showed up on my cheeks at all, just a very heavy frosty, powdery look. But too light as a blush, but too dark as a highlighter. Made my skin look sallow, not glowing or healthy at all. I didn't like the color of the swatch on my hand or my face.
I give it 2 lippies for a couple reasons. Firstly, it is very pretty in the pan and it is solidly packaged. Also, there is a huge amount of blush in there. I can't ever see someone running out of this, especially if they used it as a highlighter. Lastly, it did look kind of pretty as an eye shadow. I used it very sparingly on my lids for a slight glow. Would never put something this frosty on my browbone.
Sadly, had to return this today... my makeup graveyard is taking up too much space. FYI, Walmart does take cosmetics back that have been opened.

I would say this is more of a highlighter rather than a blush and in that regard it sure is a beautiful one! It's great for daytime I think because it highlights the skin with a soft sheen rather than with glitter or shimmer. It's a great price and comes with a ton of product! I doubt I'll ever be able to finish it!

This is my absolute favorite blush ever! I've had it for 2 years now maybe longer I bought it when it first came out and I havnt even used Half of it! It holds up so well and the color is so beautiful on my dark complexion. It's got some shimmer but that's what makes it look so good. It definately looks better as a highlighter. I use it everyday and i love it. Probably one of my favorite pieces of makeup. Definately get this is if your contemplating.

I love this "blush" as a highlighter since I can't imagine anyone actually using this as a blush. It's much too shimmery for that. BUT as a highlighter, IT IS PERFECT!! Instant oomph!! It's sooooo perfect as a highlighter! And it will last forever too. I've had it for more than a year and I use it daily and I can't see a day when I will actually hit pan. Great value, great product.

Hard Candy blush in Pin Up, is more like a shimmery highlighter. Doesn't really give color to the cheek, just a lot of bright shine. I would never reperchase this because it will take me forever to finish this one.

This is my can't-live-without product. I have a fair/beige skintone and this color is PERFECT. I can use it for a blush, but it would also be a beautiful highlight for girls with a darker skintone as well. I sometimes wear it on its own and sometimes I wear it over a darker blush and I love the effect it gives. The pigmentation is great for the price. I like that it gives a nice glowy sheen without chunks of glitter. I hope this NEVER gets discontinued, but I'm stocking up on extras just in case!

What a beautiful colour.. I use this as a highlighter, for extra glow over top my MAC blush in Dainty. For reference I have NW15 skin, and I have a difficult time finding a highlighter that shows up on my skin in a flattering way. It gives awesome colour pay out - it's so pigmented! The colour is a dusty rose, slightly bronze but it's subtle and natural looking.
It was around $8 or less at my local Walmart, so it's great value for your money. My only complaint is that the container broke so I had to tape it together, but opted to purchase a new one. I would repurchase and recommend for sure!

OH.MY.GOSH!
I LOVE this product! I just got it today and I'm in love with it. It's perfect for really light toned skin, but obviously anyone can use it. It gives you a nice glow with a hint of peachy/pink. Plus it has a bit of shimmer - not sparkle - in it. Also, it's not that expensive, I got it for about $6 at Walmart. I was actually going to get the blush called "Honeymoon" because of the rave..but they only had one left and it was all broken inside. So I decided to get this one, and I'm so happy I did. Oh man, I'll probably buy 5 more of these! Haha

I wouldn't call this a blush I find it to be of a highlighter instead, at least on my NC 35 skintone. But it makes a beautiful highlighter just the right amount of sparkle and sheen for your cheeks. Paid $7 CAN at Walmart. I also bought this in living doll which is also nice but a s a highlighter. Would buy again.
