I love beige-brown-nudes, so as soon as I saw this, I snapped it up. TBQH, it's not the most flattering shade on its own for me. It's a bit too flat. I am part Native American and part Italian (mixed in with a bit of Irish and German), so my skin tone is "confused," uneven and, I guess, an odd neutral. It's hard to find colors that actually flatter me besides muted, nude neutrals. This one brings out sallowness when I wear it on its own. If I wear it with Subculture lipliner and a pinkish gloss, then it's a perfect blend and makes a nice nude on me. As a matter of fact, this lipstick is what made me understand nudes. I realized that I needed a more "pinky-nude," and that just because something doesn't say "nude" in the name/description, that doesn't mean it can't be a nude (if that makes any sense). As far as it being used without another color mixed in, I think it would look stunning on someone with darker skin. I'm going to get one to put into my pro kit for use on photoshoots and possibly for weddings (though in that case, I'd probably pink it up unless the client asked me not to). It's a nice color if you know how to work with it. I wouldn't be so quick to toss it; one suggestion I have to to take it out of the tube, put it into a pillbox (the kind with the different spots for the days of the week), and use it as a mixer with other colors that may not have been a hit for you, especially pinks or darker browns and red-browns. Then you can use the empty tube(s) for your B2M :)

Big disappointment. This is "my lips but worse." I will return this today. As another reviewer said, it is a gray-brown color. When I put it on I thought " wow, it's the same color as my lips." Then I realized it is covering my lips and taking out any pink but not in a good way. It looks grayish. It leaves my brown NC-25-35 complexion looking dull and dead. It adds absolutely nothing and actually detracts from my appearance. It's weird.

Perhaps it looks good on someone darker but for NC 35 ladies, steer clear. For a nude lip I prefer Mac Siss with Spring Bean lipglass on top or Mac Half and Half with Boy Bait on top. These look nude but not dead.

I searched high and low for a nude lipstick that looked natural and went on nicely and stayed on well. I love Fresh Brew. I have fair to medium skin and dark hair. It is such a beautiful color. I'm in my 40's and have even had some of my friends ask me what lipstick I wear. It's just creamy enough to go on well, not to sheer, not shimmery at all. I put it on fairly heavy once and for me it lasts a long time. It fades slowly but doesn't look yucky while fading. If you are looking at the color in the tube in the store it looks a little browner than it really is. If you are looking for something to kind of amp up your natural lip color try Fresh Brew. Hopefully it'll save you some money from trying lots of others!

Another great nude from MAC! I'm so glad I finally picked this up. This would definitely look great on most WOC.

I had a lovely experience with FB. I'm a NW45 and have a highly pigmented upper lip and pink lower lip. i filled both lips in with MAC Cork lip pencil and then applied FB on top. Voila, the end of my year long quest for the perfect nude (as in matching my face skin colour). I will have to find a new obsession to fill my time...

Yuck! Worst MAC lipstick shade I've ever owned (next to Hold the Pose). The color is a grayish-tan. I tried everything I could to make it work, cork, chestnut, nightmoth liner, lip glasses and everything in between. I have a friend who is a profession MUA and she said this color is very hard to work with. I am an NW-45 and no matter how hard I tried to manipulate the color, it still looked like a had gray lips. In the tube it looks like a light tan but on the lips, grayish. Ended up trading it in (BACK 2 MAC) recycle program.

I bought this as a everyday nude, it looked nice but wasn't very mosturizing. I took it back when I found the Revlon Creme Brulee which is very similar but less expensive.

This is my go to lipstick for the perfect nude lip (NC50). I find I like to wear it alone (I have very pigmented lips and this tones them down a lot), or I pair it with Toast liner. It's very creamy and leaves my lips smooth. I don't own too many MAC lipsticks(they are a bit pricey) but this is one I will make sure I have on hand all the time.

I love Half & Half, but I was looking for a more beige shade of lipstick. There I was at the MAC counter (surprise surprise!!) and I tried this lippie... I asked a fellow shopper what she thought of it and she said it looks beautiful on me. As I looked in the mirror I realized it washes me out slightly - but I loved it anyway and decided I could wear it with a slightly darker lip liner to amplify it to just the right color. I purchased it and I'm so glad I did. Sometimes I wear brighter lipstick such as Violetta or Crosswires which stain my lips. When I wipe them off I apply Fresh Brew and create a toned down nice shade. This is one of my favorite lippies.
Update: Swapped it for another color - decided it's wrong for my skin tone and just sits in my stash! NC15/NW20

I feel as if I need to give this lipstick a good review because I think it deserves more credit! I've noticed by lightly skimming other reviews many (not all) people who dislike it are darker skin toned. This is one of my favorite lipsticks of all time (I have purchased it about 6 times) and I have fair skin, blonde hair and blue eyes. On me this lipstick is a very pretty light brown. Many people with fairer skin tend to shy away from more brown lipsticks but with a light dusting of bronzer and a neutral blush (I like MAC Gingerly) this is an amazing color. I would really recommend just trying this color on yourself in the store, especially if you are fair skinned. I give Fresh Brew 2 thumbs up!

Of all the mac lipsticks I own, this has got to be my least favorite. I had been hearing a lot about Fresh Brew and how its a great nude. But not for my Nc45 skin tone. It made my lips look crusty, "crackish", and white. I tried manipulating it with cork lip liner; still wasn't feeling it. I do not recommend this for WOC. It makes you look like "Tyrone Biggums"!!!

The Mac makeup artist recomended this to me to wear with dark smokey eyes. I am an NC40/42 and this colour does not suit me at all. Its to gery and looks like concealler makes me looked washed out. This colour is more for lighter skinned people i am thinking.

I really like this lip product for two reasons. First, its greyish-brown color really matches my complexion. I am NC35 with yellowish skin, cursed with ruddy cheeks and terribly pale lips so the this color works just fine. Second, it is really moisturising. While I can swipe it on just by itself, I think it's still good to have lipbalm underneath. Regretably, it isn't long-lasting but that's what you get with sheer lipsticks.

This is such a pretty color that looks amazing on other people, but for some reason I just can't pull it off. It makes my lips look kind of gray, I think because they are so pale underneath. Tan people suit this shade really well. I love the product but it just doesn't suit me.

I'm in the middle on this product. It really didn't show up at all. But as I continue reading the reviews I see that other people have paired it with another product. This is something I will have to do. It is moisturizing and smooth! I just have a problem with the color showing up on my lips.

On my NARS Tahoe/NC44ish skin this gave a nasty grey cast that zombified my face/made my lips look ashy. Nothing wrong with the lipstick formula itself, high quality lipstick as all MAC lipsticks are, though thinner/sheerer in application. Swapping.

I bought this lipstick out of impulse and I have used it a few times to let it "grow" on me. Finally I decided that this nudish brown shade is wrong for my overall complexion. I don't even own a blush that would go well with it (that alone should have told me something...). Formula-wise it is very silky and feels soft on the lips, and glides to perfection. I'm a NC20, olive-toned skin, but this nude really left much to be desired for me. MAC lippies (generally) are good, so there isn't much to say on the negative side. This is just the wrong color for me and that's the only reason it doesn't get 5 lippies :)

Described as a lustre lipstick from MAC, Its best described as a light to medium nude brown color.
Its definitely an HG product for me in the summertime as I reach for it often when I'm tan. Perfect shiny brown nude color for me in the summer.
Its a big too dark for me in the winter though (MAC NC20).
I will repurchase when I'm out.

The best Nude lipstick ever! Well, maybe not the best ever, but it is indeed great! I really like this on my NW45/NC50 skin! I don't even have to use a liner, but I like to pair it up with my NYX lip liner in Toast. Use a lip gloss then you just amped it up a bit! Definitely a HG lipstick!
