This is nice. It's what I would term as a sweet feminine fragrance. On me, however, the smell doesn't last too long.

I tested 3 scents at the same time, and this one faded the fastest.

I don't dislike it though, but I don't think it's worth the money if I have to keep topping it up.

I have just finished a bottle of this in approximately 3 years. The first year I loved it. It smelled a little bit sexy, natural but with an edge to it. A little bit uncommon, not like the other rose scents but not too much. However I find Dolce and Gabbanas scents are somewhat always natrual but this one is a little bit different and I like that. I used it alot the first year but now when it is almost finished I am a little bit tierd off it. It just doesn't seem very unique anymore and it smells like soap.. I always get headache wearing it and I don't know what happened? Used to like it so much but now I don't really find it good on me anymore. I still love it when I smell it in the bottle but never when wearing it. This is a great scent if you want to feel sophisticated, a little bit sexy and flirty but not in an offensive way and a little but different but neutral at the same time. It is not like every other rose scents out there, it has some fruity undertones in it and maybe that is why because now when I am becoming a woman I can't stand ANY fruity or sweet scents and this perfume has this in it. Make sure to test it first on you.

I did not think that I liked this fragrance when I first sampled it at Sephora, but kept the card I sprayed it on and kept smelling it over and over again. It only smelt better and better as time went on. The price was rather steep, but finally found it on Amazon.com on sale, and now it is my favorite. It does smell heavy and almost overwhelming at first, but then mellows out to a nice, feminine yet sophisticated smell of roses, musk, and vanilla. I would classify this as a more mature fragrance. I also find that it has better staying power on clothes than skin, but if I spray it on clothing I can still smell it at the end of the day. Not althogether crazy about the bottle, as it is really heavy and bulky, but it also looks classy. Will definitely repurchase.

My current favorite. It is a good replacement for my beloved YSL Babydoll which is discontinued.

As others mentioned, it is a rose note with some fruit notes underneath. Light but sophisticated, sexy.

I get lots of compliments from both men and women alike whenever I wear this.

I have wanted this for so so long and finally got it as a birthday present, it's such a light, floral and sensuous scent. Very romantic and gets lots of compliments. <3

I was dying to test this perfume for the longest time, I love rose. But sadly, after all that anticipation, I really don't like this perfume. There is a strong rose, the rose note in this smells a lot like an old cheapy perfume called tea rose, on top of that there is a lot of fruit in this, which isn't usually my thing unless it's muted by something stronger, and this case fruit and rose seem to be the strongest notes. I also get the distinct scent of alcohol, certain type of white wine really. Between the hint of wine and the pervasive fruit and rose I get a bit nauseous.

LOVE this perfume. I'm not one to like rose scents, but this one is great. To me it smells a lot like the original The One, but with a touch of rose. One thing I like is unique perfumes and this is is unique to me. Not old ladyish at all.

This frag smells sooooo goooood. In general, I don't wear feminine rosy floral scent. I prefer green note, white floral, oriental, or even spicy men's fragrance. (See my other reviews.) But this one smells sooooo goooood. Yes, this is rose one, soft and more floral than the original. This can be worn by younger ladies to mature women, casual occasion to office or even formal evening events. I'm glad to know and own this multipurpose fragrance. I just wish this has more lasting power. I need to spray on me every four hours or so. Also it is a kind monotone from the beginning to the end. That's why I gave 4 out of 5.
But I love, love, love. Just soooo smells goood. This makes me feel calm. My new favorite bed time frag.

Loved the fragrance when I smelled it in the store. It's a light fruity floral scent. It smells faintly like roses on me. I think this is a fun light scent like D&G Light Blue, but warmer and more sensual. I find D&G fragrances as light scents that you have to get intimately close to the person wearing it in order to smell.

wanted to love this. There is a rose scent there, but its likes its mixed with alot more then rose in there, alot of perfumey smells and maybe some gardenia, not sure. anyway I like it just ok, but I wouldn't buy it, its not worth the price and there are much better scents out there.

I got this as a Christmas gift as a part of a three piece set. It is a lovely scent and I think it's a good quality as it should be since it's quite pricey! The lasting power is great.I sprayed this on myself around nine in the morning and I could still smell it when I got back home around seven in the evening. It's hard for me to describe the top notes but I would describe it as a sophisticated, clean floral scent. The middle notes are fruity and sweet and the floral scent starts to fade away at this point. As the day wears on, the middle notes are replaced by the warm, sweet smell that has a hint of vanilla. I absolutely love this stage of the perfume. The base notes are not sweet in a foodie sense but a very warm, sensual, and inviting way. I got the largest bottle available so I think it will last me a very long time but I think I may repurchase if I were to run out.

I am currently wearing this perfume as I write this. I would up my rating to 4.5 if I could. It is such a lovely scent. Like I said in my initial review, my favorite stage is the last stage. It is just so warm and sweet without being overpowering. Rose the One is a very sophisticated and feminine scent. Yes, it is pricey, but it is worth it for the quality and the lovely scent.

Picked up a bottle of this at a fragrance warehouse sale based on how it smelled on a tester note. It was sweet, floral, without any sharpness. Put it on the first time this morning, and is it strong! 2 hrs been passed, and I can still smell it off me. Very soapy.

This is my 2nd bottle of this fragrance. My first bottle was purchased about a year & a half ago. D&G Light Blue is my signature HG fragrance 4 the majority of the year, however I need 2 purchase something completely different for the Fall & Winter months. I was really liking the Viva La Juicy 4 the last Fall, but I just wasn't 2 enthused about purchasing it again 4 this Fall. There's something about the Light Blue scent that never becomes boring & never lets me down. I always want 2 take a wiff of Light Blue & I've been wearing that scent 4 years. I feel that Rose The One has the same appeal but with an entirely different objective. I just can't seem 2 get enough of Rose The One either. To describe this scent: It's soft & subtle, yet quite long-lasting. It tells the tale of a mild & sunny Autumn day in the woods or a pumpkin patch. It smells of the versatility of a bright warm Fall day, turning in2 a cool & crisp fall evening by a fireplace.

One can smell the rose scent in a very soft, sexy, & sultry way. Nothing overpowering about this rose @ all. The base notes appear 2 be somewhat sophisticatedly sweet (like amber & vanilla) & whisked with a breath of warm citrus. All of this backed up by a warm & friendly, young-type of rose. It's the kind of scent that would make a person think of an "Indian Summer" The type of scent that would make one feel that they have just "eased" in2 fall; wearing autumn plums & bronzes, while still possesing just a hint of their summer tan & warm glow on their skin.

This is the perfect scent 4 the young & old; as well as 4 the office or the evening. It's just an all around nice scent. Maybe there is something special about the D & G scents, but I find that they work best with most people's body chemisty. If u like vanillas & ambers, citruses, or florals, this perfume will satisfy all of these scent cravings.

Weak. Smells faintly of a little watery rose, and nothing else. Pleasant enough, but weak and uninteresting. After falling head over heels into a bucket of love for The One, I guess I just expected more ...a LOT more. But unfortunately, my Body Shop rose-scented perfumes smell exactly like this, but stronger :) In fact, I dabbed my wrists just five minutes ago...and am now straining to smell anything at all. Sad disappointment :(

I am iffy on this, I wanted something lighter than my Burberry Brit, and deeper scented perfumes. I liked this probably the most out of the ones I smelled. I did wear it for a week (received a sample) then went to buy the 1.6oz bottle. Some people say it's "not your type", my boyfriend comes home soon and he will be the final judge :)

Light rose scent. I cant pick out any other notes apart from rose and soap. A little generic and a little too soapy for my taste. very delicate but to the point of having really c-rappy staying power so i wouldnt repurchase this one. Nice enough though.

this is a lighter, sweeter fragrance. i enjoy that about it, and i like that not everyone smells like it. i really like it. but fragrances are definitely all about personal preference.with that being said my other fragrance faves include L.A.M.B, MARC JACOBS DAISY, LAUREN CONRAD'S PERFUME,AND VICTORIAS SECRETS BODY SPRAYS IN SWEET TEMPTATION, and LOVE SPELL. so if you're into those type of scents too, you may like this one

It smells like mixed both rose flowers and branches together; anyway, I love it. The package is beautiful but a bit too heavy to handle. I don't think it doesn't last long because I'm scent sensitive. That is a good choice for summer. I take one star off for the heavy glass bottle.
