Got a sample tube of this on a flight and mostly used it on my hands. I tried it a couple of times on my face, but couldn't get past the horrendous waxy smell. While it did sink in okay, I still felt I needed something else on top of it to really moisturize. Used the rest on my legs.

I'm surprised by the bad reviews on this. I use this as a daytime moisturiser and pro-collagen marine cream at night and I've had really good results with them. Admittedly, my skin is not that dry (normal/combination) but I find this moisturises nicely without being oily and provides a really nice base for foundation - I don't need to use a primer any more. The smell is nice but a little bit overpowering when you first put it on, so if you hate strong-smelling face products you might not like it. This is definitely worth a try though I think, I like it a lot and will continue with my current regime unless the results change.

I got this day cream and also night cream as a duo set online. SO the price it not expensive, compare clarins and lancome what i used before this. but i will never pay the original price for such a thing. and I will never buy anything from ELEMIS with even one pounds.

First of all, I don't like the packaging. It's a tube, but hard tube. so you can't use it like toothpaste tube, and from the beginning, it's hard to get the cream out, till the end. I really HATE this packaging.

Secondly, it did nothing to my skin. well, actually nothing good. Maybe even dry a bit, coz it doesn't absorb in my skin. it stays white on the skin, untill I massage a lot.

Could not remember the smell, nothing special.

Don't waste your money and your time on this brand, if you want organic product, it's better to go for Trilogy or Neal's Yard.

I'm deeply sorry I bought this cream. It irritates my sensitive dry skin so badly that I feel like scratching my skin off. So dissapointed!

Prior to using this, I was using L'occitane's Immortelle precious cream and SK2's signs totality cream. Both were great for my dehydrated yet combo oily skin. I decided to try Elemis out of curiousity and I'm disappointed. My skin hasn't looked or felt this bad in months. 'Maximum moisture' is misleading. When you first apply this, it feels milky and it takes ages to sink into the skin. When it does sink in, it feels like I have a layer of wax on my face and it feels quite tight. It's not moisturising and gave me flaky skin around my nose and also chin and mouth area. My t-zone though, is an oil slick.

What a waste of money. I've used up to 80% of it because I didn't want to waste my money but I've had enough. I'm moving back to either immortelle or signs treatment.

I recently got both the Day and Night Cream both for £35 after having an Elemis Power Booster Facial which is a bargain considering they normally cost that each. I think if I had to pay full price I would think again.

I really like the day cream - it gives may skin a nice hydrated feeling without being too greasy. I have dry skin which still gets break outs but this doesnt seem to have aggravated it. Downside is it doesnt have an spf and I like to have one in my day moisturiser as I use a foundation which doesnt have one tooo..

Overall a good, does what it says on the tin moisturiser which is, however, a bit overpriced.

I received a 20ml tube of this product in a QVC TSV ages ago and was put off using it by reviews that reported it smelt funny (reviews not on makeupalley by the way). I even put it up for swap on makeupalley thinking I would not use it as anything that does not smell good for me doesn't get used. Anyway no-one else wanted it and I needed a new night cream (even though this is day cream) so I gave it a go and all I can say is Wow. The smell is gorgeous for a start - very similar to the Papaya Enzyme Peel - and my skin feels smooth and silky not long after application and even better when I wake up in the mornings. Most of the time (as I'm now in my 40's) I use an oil or serum underneath but last night I forgot my oil and still got the same wonderful result from this cream. I will definitely repurchase and may even replace my beloved PCMC with it. The only thing that I don't rate is the packaging. I know it was only a small size but I really hate tubes because you don't get all the product out unless you cut it open (as I do). Would prefer the full size to be in a pump bottle or a jar like PCMC.

A beautiful product. Really soothes and moisturises and softens the skin but feels very light, like the skin is bare. Also acts as a great makeup base as it helps to smooth out skin. I have super sensitive skin that always comes up with bumps and red patches after washing with water but this cream imediately calms my skin and it protects it from environmental toxins that cause redness and acne flare ups as well as regulating and balancing my skin against the hormonal acne I have been suffering badly from since coming off medication. A few spots may still appear but they are very small within a day they go. My only quarm as with all luxury products is the price but if you want top results you should be prepared to pay for them. My tip for buying Elemis would be to try Ebay or QVC for discounts.

My new HG moisturiser, I have very sensitive skin and it can react (usually through acne and spots) to anything. My skin gets greasy or too dry easily depending on the product I use but amazingly I've had no reaction to this cream!

It smells lovely and the scent isn't strong and disappears as soon as its soaked in. My skin is smooth, hydrated but not greasy at all. My foundation glides on easily and stays in place all day. If I don't wear makeup then my skin stays smooth and soft all day. It does leave my skin a little bit shiny but not enough to be a problem. It certainly looks and feels clean.

This is my only face cream to ever come in a tube, but it's still easy to control the amount coming out and is very hygenic.

The only downside is the price: at £34.00 GBP for 50ml it is a bit on the pricey side. Unfortunately I can't see how much product is left in the tube but after nearly a month it still feels very full.
The customer service staff at any stores I've visited that sell Elemis are always very helpful and more than willing to offer advice and samples of the day cream - it's definitely worth trying!

** EDIT **

I have just finished my first tube. I am very pleased with my skin - the combination of several Elemis products has kept it in very good condition. I still say the tube design isn't the best - especially when nearing the end of the product. With some difficulty I managed to cut it in half when I couldn't squeeze anymore cream out - to find about another week or so worth stuck inside the tube. It's a bit too expensive to waste like that.
