The deformed love child of a white jelly bean and a Barbie.
If this sound appealing to you then by all means purchase this product. Sweet plastic and completely repulsive...

I got this on sale off of Demeter's website in a set called Cookie Jar. It doesn't wow me. The first whiff I get is vanilla-y, but it doesn't have that baked goods smell I was hoping for. It got more synthetic smelling as it wore on, and I eventually just washed my wrists until it came off. I will be giving this to someone else, I am slightly disappointed, as I love a lot of the other fragrances I purchased. I love traditional sugar cookies, and this is not what I got from this fragrance.

I've gone back and revisted this, still with mixed results. But perhaps it is merely my body chemistry messing with me? Some days, this smells like Christmas, like those big reindeer cookies you bake for Santa. Other days, it smells like toxic waste. Who knows? ( ;

disgusting. straight out of the bottle, it smells like synthetic sweeteners and on me, it lasts about 15 minutes before dissipating into nothing. i'm such a foodie lover and really really wanted to enjoy a sugar cookie scent but this had me nauseated and heading back to return it even though i got it on sale. i had heard so much hype about demeter from magazines and online suggestions but this one let me down big time. it's not a natural food smell. the scent itself is linear and not too complicated which doesn't help mask the chemical and alcohol smell.

i also tried other gourmand demeter perfumes and they were more or less the same so i think it's safe to say demeter is something to stear clear from.

i've seen a bunch of talk about demeter's sugar cookie in magazines so i thought i'd try the the cookie jar set when it went on sale and had sugar cookie was in it. it is by far the worst gourmand fragrance i've ever had the misfortune of experiencing. i wouldn't even keep the set despite the generous sale price. it has a very nauseatingly chemical sweet smell. i am usually head over heels for foody scents and love to walk around smelling like cake, cookies, etc. this was much too fake and the staying power lasts less than an hour. it might have been better if it wasn't so linear so that it can hide the artificial smell behind another scent but i thought the simplicity of it would be charming and cute. eek it was not worth it.

I got a .33 oz bottle of this as part of a set, and I don't know whether it smells good or weird. It is a really nice, sugary smell. I think it lasts a long time, but I am very sensitive to scents so that might be why I can still smell it all day. It is the only foodie fragrance I own and I feel like I am going around smelling like cake all day. I am trying to think of something besides my body that I can scent with it, like a sweater (that would be so cozy!), but the tiny bottle is a splash on bottle, so that would be difficult.

I was so excited to get this product! I love foody scents, and I usually adore cookie scents. Demeter Sugar Cookie smells heavenly when you sniff the bottle. However, on me it turns into a nasty chemical vanilla/powdery perfume scent after 5 minutes. I have a few Demeter scents that I LOVE and work very well for me, but ironically, some of the scents that I've been most excited about, have bombed (including Angelfood, Vanilla Cake Batter, Cinnamon Bun, and now Sugar Cookie).

I am soooo disappointed with this product, which I was honestly expecting to love. Back in college, when I couldn't AFFORD them, I would always play with the Demeter sprays in the campus bookstore and marvel at how realistic they were. I forgot about them for several years, but recently someone mentioned them and I remembered how I had loved them way back when. I immediately hopped on eBay and purchased the Virtual Cookie Jar, which contains the 4 oz size of "Sugar Cookie" and 1 oz sizes of Graham Cracker and Brownie. The Sugar Cookie fragrance smells NOTHING like a sugar cookie; it smells like a yucky combo of laundry products with about 20 packs of NutraSweet mixed in. The only good thing, which would be a BAD thing for any other product, was that the smell faded within 5 minutes. Thinking that maybe it was just my body chemistry not wanting to tango with this particular scent, I turned to "Brownie" and "Graham Cracker", but both also were disgusting. I do have to say that Brownie smelled *slightly* like a real brownie....if you burned it to a crisp and then doused the charred remains in waves of chemical sweetener. I couldn't even give the stuff away; none of my friends would touch any of the the three scents. I'm very unhappy with this purchase, especially since my memory of the Demeter fragrances was so fond.

I love love love love this scent... albeit it's not all that foody smelling on me. I can't stop smelling my wrists- I smell sugar, but I also smell a musky baby powder of sorts... it's very weird how body chemistry can change things- but I am in love... I will be going through this bottle quickly!

This was such a disappointment. I was so looking forward to liking this one, but I couldn't wait to wash it off. At first spritz, it was pretty good, I could smell some buttery sugary notes, but after a few minutes it had this off smell that I couldn't stand. Good thing, because after 30 minutes it was gone. I ended up giving it to my niece.

i really liked this stuff when i bought it...it smelled like real sugar cookies!
Thankfully it's not long lasting because after about 5 mins with it on i feel sick to my stomache and like i just rolled around in room spray.

if you like having quirky little fragrances, go for it...otherwise save your nose.

I was in a local drugstore and Demeter fragrances were on sale for $10.00, marked down from $15.00 a bottle. There were about 12 or so fragrances available. As usual, when I am in this store, I test out these fragrances. I like foody scents such as cookies, gingerbread, etc. Out of all of the fragrances available I usually go directly for the Sugar Cookie. I decided to go ahead and buy it. It actually goes well with my body chemistry. Yes, I did detect a bit of a perfumy scent, but I don't want to smell EXACTLY like a sugar cookie. I see that on this board Sugar Cookie got a pretty poor rating, but it was my favorite of the available scents on display at the drugstore. Goes to show, smell is very subjective. I really disliked some to the scents that got a much higher rating. One problem though, is that the atomizer is sort of defective so I have to exchange this for a different bottle. If I decide I no longer want this scent, I'm very sure one of my younger relatives will take it off my hands. I may be alittle old to go around smelling like Sugar Cookie cologne.

Although the scent is very true (I get straight sugar cookies), this lasts no more than 30 minutes on me, tops. It's a shame - I'd buy more of their products if they lasted longer.

Okay, this is going to be a tricky review for me because I am torn on this fragrance. I just received it yesterday in a swap, but unbeknownst to me, the chick sent me the glitter version (I didn't know there was one). I sprayed it on the insides of my wrists immediately and waited about 30 min. before I sniffed it (as I always do to get the most accurate scent). Immediately after I sprayed it, I was struck by how pretty the shimmer was on my wrists. I've tried many different shimmer products (lotions and sprays), but the glitter is always either too large or not big enough or if the glitter is the right size, not enough glitter. This spray has the perfect amount of shimmer I've been looking for. However, my problem is that if I sprayed it all over my whole body, it would smell too strong since it's not a mist. Anyway, after 30 min. I smelled my wrists and while it smells like a sugar cookie, there is also a distracting scent in there too. To me it smelled fresh like a dryer sheet. Perhaps this is the alcohol or bug spray scent that others are mentioning. At any rate, the smell is just okay. It's the glitter that I like and I wish they had this glitter in a light body mist fragrance because it is really beautiful. I couldn't stop looking at it and my husband even asked me what I was doing. Yes, I would buy again, but for the glitter only (until I find something I like).

This spray has a fabulous smell, but zero lasting power.

The smell is hard to describe... I can't say it truly smells like sugar cookies, but has a lovely, yummy, cozy scent. Since I love sweet foody scents, I had to buy this one.

However, considering its poor lasting power (not more than 30 minutes!!), I would not buy it again. Does not really worth paying 25 $CND in my humble opinion. It would be nice if it lasted longer...

Smells dead on. Lasts for quite a while. Only thing I dont like, is how realistic it smells, because it makes me crave cookies :P Would buy again!

Im not sure if I would buy this, I received a decant and I'm contemplating it. It doesn't smell like Sugar Cookies at all.. it smells a lot like something I've had before but I can't put my finger on it! Its really sweet & doesn't smell bad, but not what I was expecting when I asked for 'Sugar Cookie' I guess I would buy it if I had money to spare.. lol

I should have read the reviews before buying this product, but I just bought it on a whim at Ulta one day. I don't know what it is with Demeter fragrances, but it seems like when I spray them in the store, they smell good, then I get home and change my mind! The first fragrance I got a few years ago was Angel Food, and I actually loved it and wore it all the time. Since then I have bought 3 other scents, and I have been disappointed with all of them, mostly because they have no lasting power. The main problem with Sugar Cookie is that it does not smell anything like cookies when it is sparayed on the skin. All I could smell was alcohol! The good thing is that the scent faded immediately! I returned this product and have learned not to buy any Demeter fragrances anymore.

bought this after recieving a sample. smells exactly like a sugar cookie, although maybe a little overcooked(but that's how I like 'em!). I love to mix this with other scents to create my own. it lasts a decent amount of time, but is not very strong, for those people who always need to be able to smell themselves.

This smells like sugar cookie, but more of the burnt variety. There is sweetness and a touch of perhaps....cinnamon? The staying power is absolutely awful though. The scent literally fades after 2 minutes, and all I end up is a plasticky stench. Not worth the $$ in my opinion.
