walmart was out of my usual invisible gel from clean & clear that I'd been using for years and years, so I thought I'd try something different.
Wompwompwomp wrong decision here... It might work if I went barefaced for awhile, but I just can't do that. I need my sunscreen and moisturizer and no matter how I try, this stuff does not play well with any of my other skin products! No matter the order I apply things in, leave it be for drying/absorption for a long while...when combined it balls up on my face like I applied elmer's kiddie glue! Blech.

I have tried so many of the expensive products that simply do not work. Tried this on a whim not expecting much. It worked great!!!!! Will try and stockpile.

My mum bought me this a while back because i had a major breakout that just wont leave. I used for around a month and nothing good happened. The marks were still very visible, it dried my skin and it made my acne worse. The consistency is like one of those transparent liquid glue that was used in school before glue sticks came. The only reason why i'm giving this product two lippies is because of the smell, for some reason i kind of like it.

I got Advantage Mark Treatment because I have a few acne scars that I would like to clear up, and I had heard good things about it. Overall, I'm a bit disappointed with the product. It didn't get rid of ANY of my old acne scars, and as I've seen in several other reviews, it sometimes made them more red. I did notice that it helped clear up some of my current acne, but honestly, it felt like it was was just drying them out (sort of like that makeup urban legend of putting toothpaste on zits) and didn't completely get rid of them. This was definitely not worth the money, and I probably won't buy it again.

I'm not sure if this product is doing what it promises. I just bought this yesterday and I have applied several times but there wasn't very good results. I like how it's clear and is a gel and when you put it on it's invisible. It's also pricey for such a small tube. I bought it for about $7 and I think it should have been cheaper. For sure, not gonna repurchase.

This product does dry up blemishes over 4-5 days. It stings a little when you first put it on but it's not outrageous. As far as healing acne marks, I think if anything it might make them worse. I applied it to just scars, without an actual "active" blemish and they did not fade, but actually appeared more red.
So for blemishes, maybe give it a try. You have to be diligent with it for it to really get rid of them completely in less than a week. I'm talking about application at least twice a day. It can be VERY drying so try not to apply to the skin around the blemish too much or you will get a lot of peeling/flaking.
As for healing old acne marks, I'm still looking for something that will work.

I don't really know what people are talking about on these reviews.. this isn't for an ACTIVE pimple, it's for marks left behind. Taking care of acne scars is a lot easier when the scars are fresh than if the scars have been on your skin for years!
I put this on fresh scars and they disappear within a week or 2. It's so inexpensive compared to other products I usually buy, yet it works the most effectively. It doesn't smell great, it smells quite medicinal but I can overlook that due to the results I get.
Try it :)

Awful stuff. Salicylic acid usually works great for me, so I picked up this stuff assuming it would be as good as Clean & Clear's spot treatment that they used to make a few years ago. It is outrageously expensive imo - $10 for a tiny tube.

My first problem with this stuff was the smell. It is very heavily perfumed. The second problem was that whatever is in the gel (besides s. acid) clogged my pores and made my acne worse. I just get the occasional pimple on my chin and sometimes on my cheeks. I put the gel on a chin pimple, went to bed, and woke up with ELEVEN new pimples on my chin. Eleven! I haven't had eleven pimples on my face since I was in my early teens.

I have some scars from when i was younger and had acne, and I found this at the target store and thought "hey, maybe this is my miracle product!"

No.
It's runny, doesn't do anything at all, and I ran out in about a week. I paid about $7 for it. I will not be repurchasing.

I've had acne for my whole life. Regular bumps here and there but nothing serious. This product really didn't help at all. It didn't reduce inflammation or size. It has a gel consistency but it leans more on the runny side so it's a bit hard to apply to a certain spot (not a big deal)- but overall, it just had no effect on my acne.

For whatever reason, I never had acne during adolescence. However, I started getting pimples when I was about 18. When I get those occasional zits now, I apply this treatment, basically just to make myself think I am doing something good for the blemish. In reality, this "acne medication" does absolutely nothing for my pimples, blemishes, or scars.
The packaging is OK - the silver and purple tube looks nice, but when you take the cap off, the product just sort of comes pouring out. The smell isn't bad for a salicylic acid treatment, and I don't remember how much I paid for this, but I do know that it was too much. I will not be repurchasing this one.

I LOVE This stuff!!! It not only prevents me from getting breakouts but it reduced the appearance of the few acne scars I have. I wish it came in bigger tubes, and was cheaper...but I'm a broke college kid...that's my wish for everything. Haha. But I would definitely recommend this to anyone with acne scars or who is struggling with breakouts.

I had to write a review on this stuff since it is making me so angry. I needed a salicylic acid spot treatment, and this was the only stuff I could find in Wal-Mart. It is too freaking watery. I have tried repeatedly to squeeze out just a dot to put on a blemish, and a huge glob comes pouring out - I have probably wasted half the tube in this manner. Also, once it finally is applied to the blemish, it doesn't stay there, it bleeds out to the surrounding skin - this is giving me dry flaky skin around the blemish - just gorgeous. I suppose it would work if I continued using it, it certainly is drying my skin out, just wish I could keep that drying effect isolated to the blemish. Will not be purchasing again.

After having a bad burn from using a BP spot reatment I decided to try this after being recomended to me from a friend....It is a clear gel like substance that is invisible when dry and leaves no stickyness or film on the skin...strong smell but not so bad....does not flake up/irratate my skin...and after several uses I'm definatly noticing a difference ...would recomend for sensitive skin :)

I purchased this on clearance at Walgreens for $3.49, it isn't expired, but I'm glad I got it on sale.
The texture of this is very much like a serum, runny and fast absorbing. I own the original Advantage treatment, and that one is more of a gel consistency. I find it decent for pimples or even for priming pimples for concealer.
It claims to eliminated acne and fade acne scars, and the acne scars part is definitely a hoax.
I find that this doesn't really do much for my acne or my skin, it's just kind of... There. I have oily combination skin, so maybe this will work better on other skin types, but for me, fail.

This did not work for me, i have oily and acne prone skin, my cheek area and T-zone are filled with very visible red spots that are post acne scars, it's very bad hard to cover them up because some are just so big and red that it takes a lot of time to conceal each and every one of them while applying makeup..anyways i bought this product hoping it would fade my acne scars, the product itself is nicely scented and is in a clear gel form that feels cooling upon contact with the skin but not intensively tangling. i used it every night after washing my face, for almost a month, it made no visible difference on the appearance of the scars, it doesn't reduce the pimples that are still growing, and it doesn't prevent acne from coming, so all in one, this product did not do anything for me at all..sigh...i should have known better, these little drugstore found "acne treatments" never work on my skin

I really like this product. It really works on my skin and I have combination dry/oily skin. It dries up my blemishes in a couple of days. The consistency is more of a gel which is nice because you can spread it evenly across the area you want it to or you could concentrate it on one blemish. I got this for around 5 to 6 dollars at rite aid. I have a full review of this on my YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRmPEAWYC54

this products rocks! when ever i get a zit it usually leaves a mark that last a month or two, but with this product its gone in less then 2 weeks! plus it does remove zits fast! the only thing i dont like about it is that it slightly burns, and makes the areas in which i applied a little bit shiny but other than that absolutely get it!
