To me, Physicians formula's products never worked out. They throw sales frequently and i get atleast 1 everytime and none of them worked for me. Be it there airbrush pressed powder(hated it, my husband asked me whats went wrong with my face), their concealers, shimmer strips eye liners, matte eyeshadows. But not this one.
As usual, im just browsing the makeup aisles of target, and this baby had a BOGO free sticker on it, so i cant resisit. The colors looked soooo good. So, i have to get it. Im not on trend with highlighter thing, because, the last time, ive tried highlighting, it made my pores look like a gravel road. As they mentioned on the product as a 'highligher, eyeshadow, bronzer' thought i could atleast try it as eyeshadow.
Yesterday, i tried highlighting my face, eyeshadowed and it worked great. My husband asked why i was soo glowing. This works great as highlighter, doesnt make ur pores larger, just makes its look glowy, as though its coming from deep inside. Eyeshadow : good as well..(nothing special than NYX eyeyshadows) Bronzer: i dont think anybody would be wearning this as contour, but allover the face to warm up a liitle bit? may be u have to do it after dark else it would be too sparly.
So i like it..
And not to mention i even use this on the lower lash line..and it pretty mush last atleast 5-6 hrs.

Love love love this product!! Beautiful combination looks amazing on and really makes my skin glow, love the shimmer!!! Its great to use as bronzer / blush / highlighter but i really dont like it as eyeshadow as it creases after a few hours. This compact will last me forever as its quite large and you don't need to use too much to get a great effect !!!

I guess it was time for me to write a "kinda" bad review, sorry it had to be this. This absolutely sucks as a bronzer to me, wayyy too much glitter. You look like a disco ball in the sunlight so PLEASE take caution...you will get looks and not for good reasons. Although its kinda pretty as eyeshadows. Perfect for a toned way down makeup look or I'm even sure you could build it up into something more dramatic. So eyeshadow=yay, bronzer=nay. Don't waste your money on this, PF costs more than regular drugstore brands...you'll be mad.

Physician's formula is rather expensive for a drugstore brand, but I've found success with their products in the past, so I gave this one a go. It's not a great bronzer. Using it as over large areas of the face makes everything glittery and cheap-looking. I think the majority of the problem stems from having more shimmer than pigment. I occasionally end up using the lighter shades as highlighter over the tops of my cheekbones, mostly for evening makeup (again, I find it too shimmery to wear all the time.)
It makes a nice eyeshadow pallet, which is what I use for more than anything else. The shimmer draws attention to the eyes, which is nice. Still, for a high-shimmer, neutral eye pallet, it's pricey and sometimes tricky to use. Other brands have better options that look more sophisticated and pretty. Basically, this product is just a tad too expensive for a cheap shimmery drugstore eye pallet.
The packaging is sturdy, which I like, but a pain the butt to open, which I don't like so much.

This shimmer strips are great when used as a highlighter or eyeshadow. I find it too be too shimmery when used as a bronzer and it can draw attention to skin imperfections. However, when I am in a rush I like to use any of the bottom 4 colors as eyeshadows and they look good with brown eyes. Also, the main reason I use this is because I use the top 3 colors as a highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones. Its shimmery enough to work great for that purpose but not over the top. These strips are expensive for a drugstore item but I think the quality makes it worth it and it will last a long time.

I really like this one! The five strips are each very pretty and double nicely for eyeshadows when there's limited space in makeup bags. My favorite way to use this is using a five colors and sweeping it on the tops of my cheekbones. Instantly summery, instantly pretty! I don't find it too over the top shimmery--and it is shimmery, NOT glittery. I'm pale (NW15ish) and this still works for me and isn't too dark :)

I love these so much! The colors they bring are so pretty and so versatile. You can use these as a bronzer, highlighter, eyeshadow, lip gloss, etc. These are definitely comparable to Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks and a fraction of the price. They are pricey for a drugstore brand but I think it is worth it since you can use it in so many ways. These are a MUST HAVE for anyone!

This product is so gorgeous! It makes a great bronzer or eyeshadow. It's the only product I carry with me in my purse for eyeshadow, blush, and bronzer. I really love Physician's Formula because most of the time I like their products and their packaging and the ingredients don't irritate my skin c:

I bought this in Waikiki Strip, and it came with a free "Healthy Glow" shimmer strips blush... that was basically the only reason I bought it, because on it's own it's a little pricey (bought it at my mom's in canada, $20CDN!). When I first tried it, I was wondering if I'd wasted my money, because when I first swatched it, it was very dark/shimmery on my hand. But I absolutely love it now, and it's my new favorite bronzer. I use a GOOD, clean brush (I believe good brushes are key to great application of any product.. and clean, otherwise you're combining this bronzer with whatever you used last.. yuck!) and a LIGHT hand, and I can use it all over my face for a healthy glowing look.
When you apply it lightly, the shimmer isn't noticeable and you just look fresh and lit up... but light application is key. Any darker and I'd probably look like a disco ball. I don't like it as eyeshadow, but only because the colors don't really do much for my green eyes, but maybe I just need to play around with it more... I will say the texture is awesome; very smooth and almost creamy going on, so if the colors compliment your eyes you should definately try it out. I also use the bronzer a little heavier to contour my cheeks for a night out, which also looks great. I love that this bronzer doesn't contain oil, and therefore doesn't break me out or make me look all shiny/sweaty in photos. The pigmentation is great for a drugstore brand, and I find it comparable to something you would find at Sephora. I don't like the compact however, because it's really hard to open and there's almost a knack to it.. but other than that, I love the blend of colors and the natural glowy effect it gives my skin. I probably won't need to buy another one for a long time, but if I need to replace it, I would definately buy it again... hopefully with a coupon or if it's another buy one/get one package :)

It took me soo long to finally buy this, but I'm so glad I did! PF was having a buy one, get one 50% off so I used that as an excuse to buy this because I've been wanting it for a long time but it's $12.99 normally. I love it all over my face, however, it is sparkly so if you don't like sparkle I wouldn't recommend this on your face. It's a beautiful eye shadow palette, too! The pink and the bronze are my favorite. Definitely love this, and in the future I will be re-purchashing this even at full price.

I loooove this! I wear this almost every day because it's so easy! I use the top color as my highlight...sometimes the second color. Then I mix the second and third color for my lid color. I use the fourth color for my crease, and the fifth for my outer corner. Sometimes I'll bring the second color down into my lower lashline. It's such a pretty look! Can be used as a bronzer, but USE SPARINGLY! One or two swipes with my powder brush is more than enough for me. Also, if you can pair this with a bronzy lip gloss or light pink gloss (Revlon Matte Nude Attitude w/ L'Oreal HIP Jelly Balm in Plush on top) it's a gorgeous, dewy look. I'll definitely be buying a backup since I heard rumors that the whole Physician's Formula line will be discontinued after February 2010. :(

So, as a bronzer . . . I used to use it for that purpose but realized it just made me look INSANELY SPARKLY. so i stopped using it. but then i decided to use it as just an eyeshadow palette, and it is GORGEOUS. the colors range from a very nice soft pink to a beautiful gold (i use this one the most) to copper, bronze, and a dark brown--all very shimmery, obviously. it's very good for a glowy, dewy, bright-eyed look, and the texture is quite nice. however, as a bronzer, I think that it's too glittery, and even as a highlighter, it's OTT. but some people seem to love using this as a bronzer, highlighter, and/or eyeshadow, so i guess it's a personal thing. anyway, i love it <33
