Comodogenic and it smells really bad. For the cost there are plenty of products out there that do the same thing.

They don't exactly give this stuff away, but I did like the Pangea Balancing Oil. The packaging is clean and nice, but a little bit cold. I bought it, I used it, I liked it, but haven't gotten around to buying it again.

I actually got a sample of this and wasn't too sure what it was for and ended up using it on my legs instead of my face.
OMG! It was amazing! The smell was a little heavy but I actually ran online to buy some because this is the only product I have ever used that got rid of the red bumps on my legs. I have been told by my dermatologist that it was a dry skin that was giving me the bumps and he gave me a prescription for this super lame sticky lotion that was supposed to do something special that never did a thing for me. (I had the greasy feel of most lotions and oils and won't use them) Just a few drops of this on my legs over a week ago after the shower and the spots have still not returned!!! (it also took care of my razor bumps on my bikini line!) It absorbs rather quickly and does not leave an oily residue as long as you do not use too much.
I will definitely buy this again. A little goes a very long way.

Sadly this company does not come with the warning for people with acne or sensitive skin not to use it. This oil GAVE me cystic acne about 5 on each cheek. Took me a couple months to figure out that it was this product causing it. WATCH OUT!

This is the one product I must have everyday- and the cost is worth it. I have had combo acne prone skin for my since my teens and this has made my face finally feel calm and normal.

The first time I used it, I felt hesistant to put oil on my face for fear of zits and extra oil, but my skin loved it. In the morning, my face felt so moisturized and plump. It just makes my skin feel right, it's hard to explain, but worth every penny to me. I have a little less acne overall because I have healthy balanced skin now, and it does help heal red marks and decreases inflammation.

The smell is a natural geranium, so it's a bit earthy- it doesn't smell good but doesn't smell disgusting. I think it's the only part of the oil that people might not like, so definately try a sample or go into sephora to try it out first. The smell does go away in about 10 minutes though, so if you can get past that, you're going to love it.

5/5 stars because this product is amazingly effective, is natural and won't hurt your body with bad chemicals, is a great eco-friendly company, and the packaging is good quality.

I used to have an oily complexion but with the years my skin has been becoming really dry. At first I was thinking "great, no more shine" but actually my skin has never been in worse shape. The dryness also wreaked havoc on foundations I used to cover up my skin. On top of aging, it developed rosacea and during winter, strong cold winds would make it break out in pimples/plaques for a day or two. There was an argan oil craze at the moment and after reading many articles about it, I decided to buy some. My skin was looking better and much softer but it kept on reacting to cold wind.

This fall I ran out of the argan oil and in my search of natural organic oils I stumbled on this little gem. I decided to buy It because it contains a lot of different essential oils (including argan) that moisturize, soothe and protect. If I had to mix a batch up of the same oils it would cost me a fortune and I'd have over a pint. I started using it in September and I need only one drop morning and night which I'm mixing with my day or night cream. It's as moisturizing as the argan oil and the bonus is that I haven't had any rosacea reactions! The Bottle is currently half full and I think it will last until spring. The price is steep, but it's worth it for what it does.

This helped moisturize my face and I believe it may have helped old scars to fade away. However, I highly recommend to keep it in the fridge because it may have gone rancid after a few months and then I started to get deep pimples. Not sure if this was hormonal, but I believe it may have been linked. I already have a quite oily T-zone so wearing this during the day made my face look very oily. It's something I could only really use at night. Also, the dispenser was very annoying. It would literally squirt out the oil in unpredictable directions, with too much force-- it was hard to control the amount dispensed. This was true for 2 bottles that I purchased.

i received this product in one of pangea's free product giveaways, and while i was skeptical at first (i had a VERY bad experience with the DHC cleansing oil), i must say that i LOVE this product!

i use one pump at night after washing my face with avalon organics lavender cleansing gel, and toning with a spritz of pangea mandarin and lime toner. i think the key is to make sure your skin is SUPER clean before applying, otherwise you'll end up clogging your pores (maybe that's why some people have had breakout issues -?).

i've been using it since june and i can really see a difference in my skin: there's a lot less redness and it actually has that glowing appearance that everyone is dying for. since i've been using it i hardly ever have to wear "makeup" - just a little concealer under my eyes and a dusting of powder. NO foundation. and, although it IS expensive, a little goes a long way. i've used it once a day since june and there's still about 3/4 of a jar left.

it definitely works for me, but as we all know everyone's different (some people love the DHC cleansing oil!). pangea is usually pretty good at supplying samples, so if you want to try it just email them (or contact them on their facebook page) and ask.

I tried this oil a few times and it instantly broke me out all over each time. In fact, even my neck broke out in acne.

I don't like the scent of this or most of Pangea Organics other scented items (lotions). Very strong scent. Reminds me of patchouli oil mixed with something else.

I did not see any balancing or moisturizing effect on my skin. I have some lines in places I was hoping this would 'sink into' before I put on my moisturizer and make a difference but it did nothing.

I have no clue why something so small could be so expensive, either.

Wouldn't recommend. If you want to use an oil on your face that is much better and more affordable, try sweet almond oil.

Use Burts Bees Naturally Ageless Serum (oil) instead. That never broke me out, smells 10000 times better and is much cheaper. Yeay!

if i had the money, i would definitely buy this product. i received a sample from sephora and have been using it for more than a week everyday. i only applied a generous drop to each cheek at night and i found that my dry cheeks are nice and moisturized more than ever. face moisturizers never seem to do the trick but this balancing oil improved my skin texture. i didn't notice other improvements to my skin. i still had my usual acne scars and such. the scent reminds me of nature. some may not like it i imagne, but i think it's okay. this is my first time using an oil on my face so i'm not sure if there's a comparable cheaper product that you can get instead of this. this didn't break me out.

I really wanted to like this oil, but it clogged my pores. I have sensitive skin, and this didn't give me acne, but it caused serious blackheads all over my face. I've used facial oils from other product lines without any problems, but unfortunately my skin didn't like this one. Just to be sure that it was this product and not anything else, I went for a facial (for the extractions), then refrained from using the oil for a week, and my skin cleared up. So, I wouldn't purchase this again, and probably won't finish the bottle, although I may try to use it on my neck or decolletage so that it doesn't go to waste.

I got a sample of this product with my last order from Sephora. After my first use it won me over. My skin loves this product. I use it before bed and when I wake up my skin is soft and glowing. I used to have a problem with redness on my cheeks but not anymore. My skin looks amazing. I'm so happy with this product and while the price is kind of steep ($50 for 1 oz) it's well worth it. I also feel better about buying this product since it's a natural blend of oils. I definitely will be repurchasing this oil. It's amazing!

Really love this Balancing Oil. I have very very sensitive skin, I'm allergic to almost everything. I also have combination skin sometimes my dry patches are exceedingly dry and other parts of my face very oily - it's crazy. I put this on at night before moisturizer, it absorbs very quickly. Didn't break me out -SWEET! I definitely felt a difference after 2 days of using this. I felt my skin completely balanced, not very dry nor oily, just an even and balanced skin. It is pricey $50 but considering you only need to use a bit...not too bad.

I only recently figured out that the best way to moisturize my mostly oily skin is with oil. It prevents my skin from over-producing sebum. I suffer from persistent moderate comedonal acne. My pores are extremely clogged and my skin has become very oil year-round. But oil-free moisturizers weren't working, so I decided to try a different approach:
I had a Macy's gift card, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to splurge on an moisturizing serum to keep my skin safe & sound this winter. One ounce costs $50 but Macy's has an excellent return policy!
This oil has several hydrating non-comedogenic ingredients (rose hip, jojoba, tamanu and argan oils - all great) and one that may be problematic (liquid shea butter), in addition to Himalayan geranium oil and pomegranate extract.
I don't use it every day. I only use when my skin is calmest and able to repair itself.
I never need a full squirt - a little really goes a long way. It's been about a month and the little dry patches that used to be on my jawline have disappeared (yay!). But there are some new small papules on my cheeks, and I think it may be because of this oil. Could also be the cream cleanser I use in conjuction, I'll have to see.
The scent is soothing and helps me sleep. I wake up with skin that's clean and soft.

UPDATE 10/22/2009:
Sadly, I think this oil has made my acne worse. I'm pretty sure the liquid shea butter is contributing to my clogged pores. I'm going to stop using it for a week to see if things change. If they do, this will have to go back to Macy's.

UPDATE: 1/22/2011
So it wasn't the oil making me break out. I'm so glad I kept this oil in a safe, dark place because as soon as winter returned, I didn't have to panic.
I use it sparingly, every other day, and my skin isn't flaking at all this winter. Such a joy. I'm careful to take it off when I get home and to a light exfoliation because shea butter will clog pores. But this is a great product for those of us that have to face the cold winter air.
