Beautiful spin off of the Dior's Pure Poison...
very zingy orange, neroli flower with a hint of something woody in the drydown...
not for the summer at all, because it could get really nasty and sour...for autumn rainy days and early spring..
nevertheless, I bought it and I love it!!very unique and beautiful:))

Got this as a gift from my mother, who has a taste in fragrances which is very different from mine.
No i did not like it. I found it to be too strong and dry, citric but not fresh at all.

On me, it smells distinctly like candied bitter orange, with some cedar underneath and a floral mossy ending. The result is complex, dry, woodsy and grown up feminine. It is quite strong and lasts an eternity on skin and clothes. It can have some hidden jasmine notes too, on some people.

I'd say it is more of an autumnal fragrance, wearable in the winter too, but that would be unbearably cloying on warmer climates.

It can turn sophisticated on some people, but do try before you buy it.

This perfume is a mood for love. Lasts extremely well on clothes and the fragrance is rather unique from the light fruity ones. What I like the best is that it's interesting while still fresh, it feels fresh, never too dusty or too sweet, and yet so romantic.
Wonderful package too.

Fuzzy peach skin.

This smells like what i imagined Peau de Peche to smell like. Similar to Fresh's Sake bath line: fuzzy peach skin, green/unripened; dry like a champagne Brut mimosa. Rounded out with a hint of fleshy white flowers, slightly reminiscent of the soft tuberose in Kilian's Beyond Love. A touch of sweetness for mass appeal, but definitely distinctive when it comes to the fruity/floral category.

Sadly, this fragrance lasts one hour (and i generously sprayed this all over my arms). the bottle is gorgeous, and who doesn't think of that visually stunning Wong Kar Wai film when you wear this?

In the Mood for Love is marketed as a floral amber woody fragrance.
To me, it's another exactly like the others fruity/floral one.
It may not rhe as worse as the others, but it will not make the history of Perfumery.
What I was immediately attracted by was the bottle: this is pure art!!
Fabien Baron is the creator of the flacon: it has a shape of a strange bowl, with small gaps: it is white - the name of perfume is written in a red-orange - rounded but with soem kind of dunes in its surface; difficult to explain but you will want to touch it.
This is great marketing tool: when you'll want to touch the bottle, then you will most likely spritz it, and, if you are young (18-30 range) and have little experience in perfumes, you might also like it and buy it!!
Not a frag I would buy (ah, nothing like thebols Ferré's of the past!!), but the bottle is really gorgeous and must be praised.
