I had a massive allergical reaction to this product - 12 hours after I put it on, my skin was red, very itchy and developed a rash. It took 3 days and application of a strong cortisone cream twice a day to finally bring the condition under control. Oh boy, it was scary!!!

I'm on my third bottle for this. I alternate with the continus renewal serum alone at night. I sometimes give myself a break for a couple of days.
Unlike most of the reviewers, I have dry skin with only a bit of oiliness in nose and chin. It works really well, has helped some hyperpigmentation around the eyes fade and a little goes a long way. The packaging and smell are not very luxurious, but it works.

I really like this stuff ... I have oily skin that gets clogged easily but at 34, I'm starting to show some signs of ageing (a few frown lines on my forehead) so I was looking for something with retinol and lactic acid to keep my pores clean but also with some potent anti-aging ingredients. At first I used it under the moisturizing lotion (as recommended by MD Formulations) but it was too heavy so I started using it on its own and love it. It keeps my pores clear but I haven't been using it long enough to see any long-term anti-aging benefits. My only gripe is that the bottle is so small ... only 30ml / 1 oz for $50!!! Luckily, I only use a very little at a time so hopefully it will last long enough to make it worth repurchasing.
EDIT: While I liked the product, I didn't repurchase it after it ran out. I am currently using Philosophy's Help Me instead. I honestly cannot say the MD Formulations gave me any dramatic anti-aging results either. Maybe I'll have better luck with Philosophy?

I bought this for a good price from Skinstore.com hoping to make my already decent skin that little bit better (ever striving for better skin has often been my downfall - I keep forgetting the KISS principle when it comes to skincare!). My skin is normal/combo with the odd hormonal breakout and thanks to a regular regime of Neostrata, the OCM, jojoba oil and EVOO, has been fairly well-behaved for the last eighteen or so months.
Oh what a mistake. After about six weeks or so of using this product once per day or every couple of days, I can safely conclude that it did nothing for my skin and in fact made it worse. It was hardly a coincidence that a few days after using this product for the first time, my chin, the area of my face most susceptible to breakouts, decided to erupt like a volcano. Initially I thought it might have been purging or perhaps period-related but the breakouts kept happening so long as I used this. Furthermore, the breakouts just wouldn't heal no matter what I did. Very frustrating. I think what happened was the overpowering alcohol in this dried out my skin, causing it to produce more oil and that caused me to break out. My skin likes AHAs a lot but I must admit I it doesn't seem to like most BHAs so in all fairness it could have been the salicylic acid that caused the breakouts. I eventually gave up and chucked it in the bin and went back to my Neostrata Bionic Face Serum. Unsurprisingly, the pimples that had thus far refused to heal cleared up in a day or two. Oh, and the reviewer who said this smelled funky was right on the money. It smells like another product I've used but can't for the life of me remember; needless to say, it isn't pleasant. I wouldn't use this unless you had extremely hardy, oily skin and have had prior experience with chemical exfoliants.

Ladies please be careful with this product. MD Formulations are VERY active, VERY potent products and must be used with caution. I used this as an 'on the spot' lotion on broken skin after I'd squeezed a pimple as I presumed that as a treatment product with the same ingredients as other topical acne lotions it would do the job. I found nothing on the packaging or product saying 'do not use on broken skin' so off I went and put a blob on..... No stinging, nothing to suggest a reaction. BUT , next morning I woke up to find a second degree burn on my face which had spread the size of an inch diameter. Basically the next weeks were the stuff of nightmare....doctor....antibiotics....infection....localised pimple which would not heal cos it was trapped in the burned skin. Now thankfully I am fully healed and have a small slightly pink area to show for it , which will fade in the coming weeks.
I AM a fan of MD....BUT....please never apply to any kind of dermatitis, rash, broken skin or if in doubt at all as THESE ARE VERY POTENT GLYCOLICS. I have decided to go back to Jurlique and Vit E oil and more gentle lines as I think AHAs and BHAs ultimately 'thin' the skin and , yes, they're good exfoliants, yes your pores look smaller, but at the expense of your skin feeling a lot less plump and full.
The antioxident cremes and the skin renewal complex are very good and I would continue to buy the non-glycolic products , but the rest are just too scary.
PS. FYI the HG skin-savers that restored my skin's health are: Estee Lauder Night Repair Concentrate and Solgar VIt E oil.

I just stated using this a week ago but im noticing some good changes. I can see that the blackheads on my nose and chin are clearing and my skin is smoother. My acne scars are a tad lighter. The consistency is very light and absorbs quickly. I took off one lippy for packaging, its hard to control how much pumps out so i either dont get enough or get too much, maybe its just mine tho. I will update after 1 month! UPDATE:this broke me out, im returning it today. i have been using aplha hydrox souffle and clearsil spot treatment and my skin looks better than before i started using this.

I have normal to dry combination skin, with stubborn black head around my nose and congestion around my chin.
Whilst this didn't do anything harmful to my skin, I can't say for sure that its really done anything either. I got it for a bargain $40 AUD from ebay, so I would have been pretty annoyed if I paid full retail here in australia.
I might have a bit less black heads and congestion, but I can't say its been a miracle cream...

Be careful with this product. It really reacted to my skin. When I first started using it (every 3rd day) I would wake up with glowing skin however my T Zone is red raw. I've limited the use to just once a week. I can see how it might work but it may take me longer as it really is of high potency. I'll update again.

I bought this in a whim, after purchasing an entirely new skin care line.
At first I thought it was making a difference in my skin but I'm not as sure anymore.
I have seen no improvement in my(combo) skin, tone, freckles or skin texture and, honestly, for a product that markets itself as a 'night recovery' I don't see any difference in my skin in the many months I have been using it as opposed to using just a cleaser, sunscreen and bi-weekly mask. I stopped using this a while ago and haven't noticed my skin change at all.
The price in Australia is prohibitive (from memory around the $150 mark) so I'm glad I bought it from Canada but even for the $65 I paid I think there are other products out there that would do a better job for the same amount.

I normally use Peter Thomas Roth AHA/BHA gel, and rarely broke out but I still had visible pores and bought into the hype. I started using it in December, but immediately broke out with huge cystic acne like I've never had before. It got to a point where random people were telling me about Retinol, Laser peels, Obagi.. b/c they were concerned about my skin. I tried cutting back to once every other day, but my skin was red and raw. On top of everything else, my pores are just as visible and my skin feels so sensitive it hurts just to touch it. I've stopped using it for the past 3 days and started with PTR AHA/BHA again and stopped breaking out and the cystic acne has calmed down a bit. For those that have good skin already, stay away from this product.

Love this! I did a lot of research to find the perfect AHA/BHA combo product. It is really hard to find those products that do not have alcohol, or heavy consistencies. I have used many Glycolic and Salicylic acid products over the years for acne, but wanted something that packed more punch. Since starting with this, just a week ago, I have noticed a big change in my skin, MUCH smoother, clearer, less oily. Blackheads are still present, but decreasing. I use it every other night and my Differin flakies are GONE! Which is amazing. The only complaint I have is the packaging, The pump has a hard time pumping out product and there is absolutley no way to know when it's running low, arrgh. By the way, this contains 8% AHA and 2% BHA, lotion base, oil-free, and some retinol. Retails for about $50.

I'm a huge fan of the MD range. I used to have nasty skin but now it is perfect!!! I love this product but you have to use it in conjunction with other products from the range to get the most out of it.

My sister got me a sample from Sephora.I loved it so much, but she couldn't remember the brand!
A few month later, I just ordered this product, still wondering about the other one. I was crying with joy that they are the same one. This is the only product that makes my pores smaller! Need I say more?

First of all, this is my first review (I usually just read them), but I just couldn't resist to share this with all the women in the world.
I actually can't believe anyone saying something bad about this product. I would highly reccomend this for any skin type.
As far as the "anti-aging", I really don't need a product like this, as I'm only 24 y.o. I have combo skin prone to oilyness/occasional acne, sometimes flakes, sometimes really oily. 2 years ago I suffered from bad skin (constantly having heavy breakouts, and scars that were left on my face). I really coulnd't stand it anymore, so I desided it was time to pay a visit to the beautician. When she advised me to use MD products I was sceptical at first and was shocked by the prices!! I had never payed that much for beautyproducts! But I'm glad I got in touch with MD.
Anyway, I've never been more happy with my skin that I am now. I sometimes don't even need to use foundation anymore. My skin is smooth, even toned, almost poreless, and I heve that radiant glow! And the best thing is, I'm not affraid to stand very close to someone anymore!!
really, if you want sensational skin, try MD and see if it works for you. But you must give it time. At least it works for me.
And as far as the Night recovery... the fact that it said "ant-aging" and retinol kind of held me back at first because I have no rinkles whatsoever. But my beautician reccomended me this, because it evens out the skin, improves the skintexture, makes oily skin less oily and dry skin less dry, clears out the skin and gives it a healthy glow. And believe me, it really does!!
And because of the fact that I'm quite young, I don't use it every night.
I've tried several products from all kinds of luxury brands (Carins, Lancome, Shiseido, Lancaster) and even drugstore brands, when I felt guilty about spending so much money on MD and desided to give other brands a try, but I always regret that I did and then return to MD again.
Just one more thing (and let this be a lesson):Another good thing about MD is that the product don't contain fragrance. I still can't believe other brands still use perfume in things you put on your face! Perfume can really mess up your skin balance, nomather how good the product is, I won't work properly if the perfume in it disrupts or (invisibly!)irritates your skin.
Ok, I think this should be enough to convince you to trust MD if you have skincare problems like mine.

After reading all the good reviews here, I can't help to buy myself one. I really want to like this product but it doesn't do anything to my face. I've been using it for more than 2 months but didn't see any improvements. I have combo skin type with mild acne problem.
