Mismas ... seriously perfect! I have about 8 RBL shades and this was one that I lusted for big time!

shade wise, this is a medium purple cream, zero shimmer, zero "bells & whistles" ... the buttery texture of this though is what really gets me as with all the RBL polishes I have. It's similar to ChG Grape Pop ... a perfect slightly-darker-than-medium shade of purple. It's somewhat cool-toned, but not to the point that it's unwearable on my warm MMM skintone. 2 coats is pure perfection. Great alone and equally perfect if you want to use it as a base for a darker shimmery or glittery purple to bling it out. Definitely one of my favorites! Not entirely unique, but I have a serious weakness for RBL's and a bigger weakness for purples, so this was a must have for me!

Fortunately, I received this in swap so I was spared shelling out the $18 price for it ... but regardless, this shade is definitely all that!!

I'm a total junkie for purples, creams especially, and this one does NOT disappoint! Application is flawless, 2 coats delivers up the perfect mid toned blue based purple cream. Not too dark, not too light. Despite it being on the cool side, I can see this working on most skin tones. What I LOVE about these kinds of shades, is that for me at least, they work year round. Since it's not too dark, it's perfect for all seasons, and it's a great shade that isn't SO far wild that it would be too trendy. It's a great color to fling on for those times when you don't want a "traditional" shade (red, brown, plum, etc). Wears exceptionally well, and just looks fantastic on my medium skintone. Great addition to my stash!

A medium purple creme, this color was designed by (& named after) Michelle Mismas of the All Lacquered Up blog, collaboratively with RBL owner Ji Baek. It's similar in hue & value to Scrangie (another of the blogger polishes) but is a glossy creme without shimmer, while Scrangie is an iridescent shimmer with blue flashes. Mismas is also similar to the Sally Hansen salon color Night Hydrangea (a LE "Runway Edition" Spring 09 color), but without NH's shimmer.

Application is excellent, as it is for most RBL cremes, great coverage with one coat (!) and good dry-time. I added Seche Vite's fast dry top coat with good results. At $18@ RBL polishes are priced slightly under luxury brands like Chanel; although pricey compared to gold standard salon brands like OPI, they are of excellent quality, and are a popular high end brand on the nail board. Available at rescuebeauty.com or at Baek's salons in NYC.
